I echo the sentiments of Stephanie G, Abigail K, Kjellaug Y, and Pete M. The first cleaning I had with Hygienist Alyson (a year or two ago) went the same as Stephanie describes - - Alyson was rude, unprofessional, condescending and has a nasty bedside manner. She is not pleased to have to deal with any medical issues a client may have. Due to vertigo and sinus problems, I am unable to be reclined back as far as she would like, yet she has no concern for anything but her own comfort. Likewise, the appointment setter, Claudia, is rude and obnoxious, stating that she told you something last time you were there, when she DID NOT. I was called less than a week before my six month cleaning and told that it would be a deep cleaning as discussed. They "mentioned" wanting to do it; but I NEVER AGREED to it - - and now they say they will no longer treat me if I don't have it done. I asked to speak with the dentist by phone and was told that I would have to make an appointment to see him in person, rather than a telephone call. I really only wanted to speak to him further about the procedure itself and privately question his staff's behavior, but because of Claudia's rudeness and pushiness, I decided to come here to let everyone know about my feelings publicly. Additionally, during the last visit, the dentist mentioned a small light colored area near one of my teeth near the gum (it has been there for years) and the dentist gave me a card to go see his buddy, a dental surgeon, to have a look at it. Two years ago, they stopped taking my insurance (claiming it was a slow payer), but I loyally stayed with them, and submitted repayments to my insurance myself for reimbursement; so now, all of a sudden, Claudia calls me a week before my appointment telling me I have good insurance and it will only be $35 for the deep cleaning. Furthermore, they will no longer treat me if I don't get it done. Could it be that they lost so many long-time clients they decided to again take my insurance? Working the system much? Poor business practices at the very least.

For my wife, she scheduled her new patient visit and after arriving at the front desk was informed that the "suction" was broken and was therefore not going to be able to be seen for her cleaning. She asked why she hadn't been called about it, to which they said they called her multiple times. (Lies). Reschedule. Upon arriving for the reschedule they still were unable to do the cleaning. But she did get her X-rays and exam. My visit, literally after being in the parking lot I received a call that the x ray machine was not functioning and they were going to only be able to do my cleaning but that I couldn't see the dentist. Appointment obviously canceled. I walked in to talk to them about these series of events to be told it was my wife's fault that she didn't get a cleaning, and she didn't schedule it with a cleaning. They informed me that it is not customary for a dentists office to do x rays and a cleaning/exam on the same day anywhere in town. (Even though my appointment was scheduled as such). For a brand new dentists office to have this unreliable of equipment and customer service is in my opinion unacceptable. We will be moving on to a different office. I recommend you pick one of the other 2000 dentists in town for your dental needs.

Three weeks after the procedure, I was in severe pain because part of the nerve had apparently been left behind. When I returned, I was told to wait for it to die on its own and I was charged over $200 to be told they didnt do thier job correctly. Now, one year later, I have an infection in the same tooth because the root canal was apparently not cleaned all the way to the bottom. I now need additional treatment and crown reconstruction. This office has cost me a tremendous amount of time, pain, and money. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend going literally anywhere else. From what I can gather many other friends and colleagues who have gone here have shared a bad experience.

There are no words for how impressed I am with Dr. Mabe, Amanda (my dental hygienist), the Clearcorrect teeth straightening expert, and Marci and the office support staff. What a relief to discover Naples Family Dentist right here at the intersection of Tamiami Trail North and Immokalee Road in North Naples. However, I have been a patient there for a little over five years and have had four crowns installed in that time period. Each of the dentists and their assistants have been absolutely terrific. This month, I had Dr. Tracy Couillard as my primary dentist, and Sofia, as her assistant. They could not have been more caring or more professional. I am a difficult patient (hard for them to get my tooth numb) and they were very understanding (and quick once it was numbed!) It is now two days after the installation of permanent crown and I have no discomfort whatsoever. I just read a couple of negative reviews, and I can tell you that I never experienced anything but pleasant and professional care from this practice, including the extraordinary front desk staff (Carolina, Barbara and others). So it truly is Gentle Dentistry and I would highly recommend Dr. Couillard to any new patient.

Yes, it is very disheartening that a client/customer of over seven years that Julia would simply state that she did the best that she could with the canvass that she had and that my situation was NOT correctable.
