I am a new patient and very happy with the entire staff at Naples Bay Dental. Dr Perez is wonderful and today I had a deep cleaning with Mabel who did a terrific job. Tim at the front desk is also very helpful with everything needed as far as appointments and insurance claims. My daughter also went for a checkup and was very pleased with the entire staff. My Mutual of Omaha dental insurance said I should only have to pay $499.99 for the dental service out of pocket . The dentist charged me $921. and refuses to pay me the difference they received the insurance money in January. Now I have to file a a grievance against the dentist to get the difference . Terrible service tried to resolve it many times . read more

She CUT my lip tissue without warning -- now my upper lip literally FLAPS when I talk or smile. * My gums are still not healed, and my lips remain numb nearly 4 months later. * I can't fully close my mouth, and it's causing pain, embarrassment, and constant discomfort. * They gave me a night guard instead of a retainer, wrecking my $7K Invisalign results. * Every other dentist refuses to touch the veneer -- they say trimming it will cause it to crack, and that only Dr. Nicole can fix it. But she won't. * They refuse to give me my x-rays or schedule any follow-up appointment. * I've been pushed off to lawyers who won't respond. I've been left alone in physical pain, with no options. The office staff are very deceiving in their billing. They will tell you the insurance will not pay this or that they denied that. When you call the insurance, you get a totally different story. What they say was denied was not and the insurance says they will pay 100% of a procedure while the staff lies to your face and says the insurance will only pay part of it. Run away from them!!!! read more

Might be a decent option if all you need are cleanings that are covered by insurance but if you need any additional work go get a second opinion! I was quoted around $5k for a series of appointments for an infection, went to another dentist and had it fixed for less than a $1000. Plus the other dentist walked me through options so that I could make an informed decision. read more

If you want to feel like you are at a used car dealership I highly recommend Dr. Nicole & her staff. I went in on Friday 12/6/24 with terrible excruiating pain that started at 3 am during the night waking me from sleep . Sindy the dental assistant was a delight (thus the 1 star) The doctor came in spent 3 - 5 minutes with me, told me they needed to remove 2 teeth, remove a cap from another tooth & other procedures I could not grasp due to my level of pain then left & went on to another patient. "The closer" entered; the soonest "the surgeon" could come in was December 12th. In the meantime, in order to begin any treatment, I would have to pay roughly $4300.00. It was 2:15 p.m., they closed at 3:00 pm and the "used car closer" told me I needed to go get the money and come back. But they are only open until 3 pm. There was no way to get to and fro in this time window while also telling me they were closing promptly at 3:00 as one of the staff was already already feeling not well. The pain was excruciating and I asked if the doctor could please give me novocaine so the pain would subside enough so I was able to have a clear headed conversation to understand her treatment plan. I was told & I quote, "we only give novaicane to patients we are treating". Doctor Nicole told me I had a very bad infection and called me in 3 pills of antibiotics. Yes, 3. I guess that was to make sure I came back in on Monday with the money. I am 61 years old and have NEVER seen such atrocious greed and lack of compassion from a medical professional. Rather than treating me or spending anytime trying to reduce my pain, I was dismissed with an appointment for Monday at 2:00 pm. The "closer" told me to mix tylenol & advil for pain relief. By Friday evening my face was swollen almost unrecognizable from my lips to my left side of my face to. my ear, down my neck. See photo. My husband found another husband & wife Family Dentistry. They saw me immediately Saturday morning. The first thing the doctor did was numb my mouth & give me novocaine to relieve the pain so he could examine me. The inflection was so inflamed, he could not tell absolutely which tooth was causing the inflammation. So he gave me additional novaicane to give me a little relief, prescribed me a proper round of antibiotics, tylenol 3 for the pain and prednisone to bring all the swelling down. On Monday I am seeing them at 9:00 am to begin treatment.This dentist does not to need to wait for a surgeon to remove the abscess (if that is what is needed) and treated me with kindness compassion. They did not even discuss money or cost with me or my husband, other than "dont worry about it now, we will work it out". I wish Naples Bay dentistry the very best, but they have a long way to go in people skills and compassion. For those of us of a certain age group this kind of greed and lack of care, compassion, absolute arrogance are unacceptable. If this is how you would want your mother treated Dr. Nicole & staff, then my heart really goes out to you & pray moving forward you come to understand you crucial role in our society, it is one of caring. The difference in the two experiences are night & day, Dr Nicole was ok sending me home with tears running down my face from pain; more than likely aware there was no way this infection would make it through the weekend, perhaps forcing me to an ER. It was not only negligent but down right cold and careless. I have never written a negative review (as a former local small business owner, I am one to help small & local businesses thrive) This time however I am hoping to save others and use this moment to help teach Dr Nicole Perez what she apparently did not learn in Dental School. This dentist wants to make money off of you - do NOT go. I have never had a worse dentist experience and will never be returning. I was the only person in the entire place and waited 40+ minutes to see a dentist. I was forced to take a full set of x-rays despite having them done six months prior. This is unacceptable as it is completely unnecessary and contributes to doctors billing insurance for procedures that are not needed and ultimately leads to HIGHER INSURANCE PREMIUMS for us all. This policy is ONLY for the doctors to make money off of their patients! When I tried to refuse x-rays I was told I could not be seen without them DESPITE having them done six months prior and me offering to have my old x-rays sent. When I asked for a copy of this policy they DID NOT HAVE ONE. I will never be returning and strongly urge nobody else to use the dentist. I had some serious tooth pain that required an emergency visit to see the dentist. I had hundreds to choose from with our insurance! I called multiple places but the admin here was the sweetest, most sympathetic by a landslide compared to the majority of others I spoke with. I ended up getting an appointment the very next day which I was very happy about because I was in a lot of pain... I arrived at 4pm! I did not have to wait! Dr Perez, her assistant, her whole staff sooo nice & put me at ease. I was exceptionally nervous. I ended up having to get two wisdom teeth extracted which I kind of expected. Again.. Dr Perez is tiny but like Mighty Mouse & she got those suckers out with ease & it didn't hurt at all... Which definitely surprised me. She made sure I was comfortable for the entire process... I'm a new patient and they greeted me with a smile and guided me to set up an appointment for x-rays, cleaning and exam. The next day the x-rays were taken and the cleaning was done very efficiently and lastly the doctor came in an exam me. She noticed me that I had no cavities and in a couple of places their was gum issues, but nothing that needed to be done at this point . I had an introductory appointment for the advertised $79 which included full set of X-rays, a complete cleaning and a tooth fluoride treatment. Staff was very polite and professional. Despite constant reassurance that I could come just for a cleaning, I was put through an extensive examination to "diagnose" me with a recommendation for a cleaning. This set off a bunch of red flags, as I presumed that they would "diagnose" me with something that requires more extensive & expensive work. I had been called multiple times to input my insurance information (which my actual dentist has but I do not) but when told that the first visit and cleaning would be 59$ out of pocket decided just to go forward with that. After taking unwanted X-rays and checking my gums, I was told that I needed a more expensive "gingivitis cleaning" because of what she saw in my gums. I was refused a regular cleaning when requested. I called out their catfishing by bringing me there under false pretenses to get this imaginary 59$ cleaning and was told that it isn't catfishing because it wasn't "forced". Hate to break it to them, but catfishing is not forced - it's based on luring someone under false pretenses! I'm glad I didn't give them my insurance for fear of what they'd charge it... avoid this scam "dentist"! read more
