We went back down to the desk to discuss the mistake, and which time they informed us they cut their contract with hotels.com because they kept booking people in rooms not matching accommodations, and they don't even have any rooms with 2 beds (or none available, unclear.). In order for us to stay, we had to book another room that was not ready sight unseen. We were told we would need to speak to hotels.com for a refund. We attempted to get a partial refund from hotels.com and were informed that the hotel said we accepted alternative accommodations. Inn staff also reported they gave us the second room for free, which is also untrue. They refuse to make it right. The rooms were small, the hallway smelled of vomit when we went back to our rooms that night, and the second rooms ac did not work properly. Beware and avoid staying here if you are a group or family unless you'd like to squeeze into tiny rooms and get 0 customer service for a mistake on the Inns end. The worst hospitality experience I've ever had, coming from someone who has worked in and frequented MUCH nicer accommodations. Edit to add: check their reviews outside of google. That is the only place people rave about them, which is super fishy. Update to Anthony: Every part of your response was untrue. That's a shame you feel the need to continue to lie. There were no multiple visitors to our room, we didn't tell you to charge the card you told us you would because you wouldn't fix the error as it was a hotels.com issue, you never mentioned the cooling issue, etc etc etc. if you had been willing to comp the second room (we shouldn't need to tell you we needed two beds, that's what we booked for.) and had not continually lied to hotels.com, this review wouldn't be here.

Are they sacred here like cows in India or something? I understand we're in the countryside and you're supposed to find a bug or two (or not) but the room was full of all kind of spiders, big and small. If the maid would've cleaned thoroughly that morning, you'd seen one or two maybe but not so many. Also, the doors and walls were full of fingerprints from previous guests. And there was a t-shirt between the dresser and the wall, so she does never look around when she cleans? The joke of it all is that we had been given an envelope to tip the maid!

My mom was an antique collector, and right away I knew she would have approved of the gorgeous antique rugs, furniture, and wall hangings. The bed in my adorable room was super comfy and the delicious farm fresh breakfasts (The eggs came from the cluck section of the enchanting orchestra I mentioned earlier.) were served in the spectacular barn of wood walls and giant beams that was somehow huge and cozy at the same time. If I didn't have a retreat to go to, I could have sat in there all day. My lovely hosts Kember, Jack, and Sam took great care of me. The cars that are parked in the pics are his to make it look busy. So we rented a unit for 4-5 days and was one of the worst places I've ever seen. We lost electricity for 7 hrs during one of the days and Mike would not talk to us directly, he lied to us numerous times about a car accident that never happened. I called the town ELEC company and there were no reports of any at all. Then he told his two man crew who did come back to work to tell us they would have itnon any minute. 4 hrs later we were ready to leave this dump. So finally when the lights came on he told his people to lie to us yet again and say they shit the wrong property off . What a joke this was. All the dishes and silverware was disgustingly dirty and sticky . I spent my vacation skimming the pool because the owner was getting drunk and losing control over the rest of the property . Don't let them fool you, there is NO useable playground and the rotted wood that is below the slide has holes in it and the sand had dog and cat crap in it . There is no arcade like his advertising says . Just disgusted . But took a thousand pics to show all the code violations and to have for proof. My 11 year old was in the pool and discovered a Cut ELEC wire sticking out of the water being held by a Brick . But of course he was too busy sitting in his bedroom (drinking and drugging as we were told he does everyday and night by all the neighbors ) to ask about this wires . When he finally came to our door 3 days after arrival he was hammered and slurring all his speech. I have proof of everything I'm saying since I took video and pics of this crap hole . Do your family a favor and go somewhere else . Then this guy says he remembers us from last year which is a riot since we've NEVER even heard of this place but he claims he remembers us very well. I wouldn't let him pay us to come back Stay away !!!!

We observed bald eagles, osprey, kingfishers, woodchucks, in their natural habitat. It's a rustic camp with a family feel. The proprietors are warm and welcoming. Kayaks, SUPs, rowboats and canoes are provided. The property is maintained well, and the proprietors are always willing to make our stay a happy one.
