Very convoluted to figure out the who done it. The food was better than expected. The huge issue was the staff telling us they would have activities around murder mystery. There was one escape room and there was no room for us to play. It made for a boring weekend. The place we stayed was ok and didn't have very many amenities, the heat in the living room wasn't working...made for a chilly weekend. The staff needs to prepare the guests for a weekend expectation. We didn't need a golf cart but no one mentioned that when we booked the trip. We wasted over $1K for this weekend. I would say, keep your money and don't visit this resort.

We used to come here all the time before it was bought out. Definitely changed for the worst. Didn't have pieces to activities where you won prizes. No internet at cabins to check activities throughout the day. Prices to go there and for items such as food and souvenirs. $42 for a small shirt. Only good part is the production crew. 10/10 stars to them. They host every show there and are amazing at it. Also, they are amazing singers and dancers. Most staff are nice. Totally recommend the production shows if you end up at this horrible, outrageous place.

Summer days have never felt more relaxing than when you're by the water in one of their many lounge chairs. If your'e with family, like I was, there's paddle boarding, a game center, picnic areas, and beautiful scenes. Dan and Roseana, and really the whole staff, were so welcoming, warm, and accommodating to our every need. No request went unanswered. If you go you must stay for the weekend, or at least until Friday if you're staying during the week. Their lobster bake by the water is so enjoyable; it's a true Maine experience. In fact, it's more than that. It's a Tarry A While experience. You can't get that kind of community with delicious food anywhere else in Maine. I will definitely be going back and will always ask friends and family to come with me!

We interacted with Scott quite often and he made us feel welcome , even as a first timers. Another review mentioned feeling left out of the vibe as a first-timer; we experienced the opposite as all the staff and guests were very affable the cabin (Birch) was very clean and spacious. we really appreciated the daily delivery of firewood to the cabin . the beds were comfortable but are likely getting close to needing replacement . the shower pressure is incredible and having two sinks is a huge plus. only thing missing was a filtered water dispenser in the room...would have saved many trips to the main lodge for filtered water!adding 1-2 puzzles to the book shelf would have been welcome as their was only one to borrow for the whole property at the time we were there The meals were good with the service bordering on a bit casual . several times, we had to wait 15-20 minutes for morning coffee or the staff taking breakfast orders which was strange as it didn't seem to busy in the front of the house . the options were varied and the amount of food was enough to be comfortably full All the activities we participated in were super fun (kayak tour, motor boat rental, hiking, tennis, pickleball water coloring, bingo, wildlife lecture ). The outdoor Monday cocktail hour was fantastic - gratis drinks at sunset on the patio. Typically, the resort schedules two activities per day which is great but three would have filled up the day a bit better The only complaint we had is their drink policy . i knew alcohol was not included but its strange to charge for soda when you are serving steaks , scallops and lobsters as part of the rate - it's a huge mismatch . This how they phrase their drink policy: "Drinks from the bar are sold separately and are not included in the all-inclusive rate" when most people think of "drinks from the bar" they don't consider soda to be part of that it's not a big deal - $30-40 over a few days but it's the poor communication that irks me as it seems ?intentionally? misleading

I'd been to the Inn before for happy hour and brunch so I was familiar with the main building and the fabulous view--so for this weekend I booked a Coveside Suite, which is a *huge* 2-bedroom setup with a living room and kitchen, balcony overlooking the snowy lawn and oceanfront, and a gigantic bathroom with both a shower and soaking tub. One bedroom has a king bed and the other two queens, which is perfect for a group of friends (it's not easy to find an arrangement like this). It's all very nicely designed (upscale beachy without being pretentious), and with freezing temperatures and a snowstorm on the way, the fireplace in the living room was the best. Pure hygge! I also recommend taking advantage of the spa, which we did on Saturday, both enjoying wonderful massages (hot rocks nearly had me drooling I was so relaxed). And even if it's cold, you can still tromp around the snow-covered lawn and down to the beach, or bundle up and have a cocktail outside on the deck by a fire pit, which a friend and I braved for awhile because we're weirdos. Large resorts like this can sometimes have food that feels institutional, but that's not the case here at the Sea Glass restaurant, which reliably turns out a nice range of tasty dishes inspired by Maine seafood and produce. I appreciate that there's some overlap between the breakfast/brunch and all-day menus; you can reserve in the restaurant (as we did for Saturday night), eat at the bar (it was hopping on Friday evening, since it's also a destination for locals), or order room service (bless the staff who came out in the cold for us for breakfast!). Everything I had was delicious, with the highlights being a roasted sunchoke appetizer and a hangar steak special with melty Parmesan fries. And I so appreciate the staff, all of whom were friendly and helpful! Service and communication were really top-notch overall, while also being super low-key and relaxed--you never feel the effort behind everything they do to keep things running seamlessly, which is clearly a lot, and that's an art. Pro tip: take advantage of winter rates (and there's an extra little discount for Maine residents, which is nice). Oh, and bring your pooch! The Inn is dog-friendly and there were many happy pups in their winter gear frolicking in the snow. While this was certainly a splurge for me it was one well worth it, and as a local, I'll definitely be back to do so again.

While I understand booking dates and availability, Laurie in the sales office was dismissive and unhelpful. As a catering sales manager in luxury hotels myself, I would never speak to a client in this manner bluntly saying "we are not booking in 2027" after I requested clarification "Thank you for your email. Do (yes, spelled incorrectly) to the size of our property we do not offer courtesy room blocks for events not at the Inn." "If we were to host an event such as a rehearsal dinner or welcome party, what would be the minimum required to host a courtesy block of that size?" "You could potentially book a rehearsal dinner or welcome party if the wedding for that weekend is not having a Friday event and does not have a block of rooms. Currently we are not booking into 2027 so I would not know if that would be available until closer to the date. Rooms are contracted, not courtesy blocks; therefore, there would be a 2-night minimum and a 90% attrition for unused rooms." "I'm a catering sales manager myself in hotels and not understanding what you're saying here. Can you please clarify what you mean by that first paragraph? I understand on the rooms side but if this date is too far out, I'm happy to go elsewhere as other hotels are booking these dates." "We are not booking into 2027 yet." That is the entire conversation. Very disappointing service for a place that wouldn't even offer the opportunity to book with when other similar hotels in the area have opened their books.

The owners Leila and Anthony are truly the kindest and most hospitable people I have ever met. From the second we walked into the Inn it truly felt like we were right at home. The Inn itself is beautiful, quaint, charming and very clean. Our room was super cozy and the bed was SO comfortable (I will definitely miss it). The water pressure in the shower was great, which is hard to come by sometimes. The grounds are manicured and so comfortable. I spent hours on the hammock and in the rocking chairs reading and relaxing. What really blew me away was the breakfast and the treats. Anthony preps all the food and is a breakfast and pastries GENIUS. First night we were there they had snickerdoodle whoopee pies with a maple cream cheese filling (individually wrapped to be extra safe and clean) and I may or may not have taken a couple more with me to enjoy later in the evening... The location of the Inn is PERFECT. You are walking distance to Long Lake and a few little shops and minutes away from Lake Sebago. I truly cannot recommend this Inn enough, and I cannot wait to get back here! Thank you Leila and Anthony!
