We recently purchased a brand new 2023 Shelby F-150 from Bayside, and had it shipped sight-unseen from Virginia to Las Vegas, NV. It arrived with clearcoat damage (embedded water spots) on the top of the vehicle's fiberglass tonneau cover. I tried to clean it off myself using a clay bar and different cleaning agents, but to no avail. We took it to a local auto shop and had them try to buff it out, but it did not work ($200 out of pocket for no results). I immediately contacted Bayside Ford and began a chain of communication about the damage. They denied responsibility, and told us to take it to the local Ford dealership for "paint warranty" coverage. We took it to THREE local dealerships... all three looked inspected the damage, all three contacted the Ford Warranty department, and all three were denied, claiming that the damage wasn't a factory defect, but instead due to negligence on the part of the selling dealership (Bayside Ford). I once again contacted Bayside Ford, and essentially got a "not our problem" response. After some arguing back and forth, I finally got them to agree to repair the vehicle. I went and got an ESTIMATE to repair... $487. They agreed to reimburse me once the repairs were complete. Fast forward to today: We dropped the vehicle off at the Ford-recommemded body shop for repairs. Shortly after, we were informed that the damage was not just on the tonneau cover, but also on the entire roof of the vehicle as well, which had not been included in the original quote. The revised estimate is going to be an additional $600 to repair. I reached out to my contact (sales manager, Dustin) at Bayside once again and informed them of the extra cost. He point-blank said they would not cover anything above the original estimate ($487), and that anything additional, I would need to cover myself. This is truly unbelievable that this dealership would sell a $130k vehicle to someone, damaged, and then make it so difficult to get resolution. They acted like it's my fault and that it's my responsibility that my vehicle arrived in damaged condition. I would advise that everyone stay FAR AWAY from this dealership, as they will not accept responsibility for their own faults. While I'm all the way across the country, and unlikely to use this dealership again, the company I work for has several thousand employees in the Maryland/Virginia/DC area, and I will be sharing my story across several platforms. At this point, they can keep their money. We have been fighting for 2 weeks, and It's just been a complete slap in the face. They took an exciting experience for us and turned it into a gut-wrenching, sour moment. Worst car buying experience of my entire life.

Service writer was out and out rude. You pay extra to use a credit card. What happened to the complimentary donuts?

Marcos sold me a car in May of 2021 that appeared to be good but as soon as I got it home in DC the…read morecheck engine light came on. After Audi of Bethesda Dealership did a $900 diagnostic because it's a Audi hybrid I was told the engine would have to be taken out and the timing chain would need to be replaced which is a $9000 repair. The warranty I bought through my credit union would not repair because I only had the car for a few days and it didn't have at least 500 miles on it. Resultingly the credit union returned my $3000 I paid for the warranty. I reached out to Marcos and wanted to return the car to but he would not take it back. I guess that what I get for paying for the car outright. Marcos owns an electric car which he mentioned to me and that he is saavy with reprogramming computers in cars. Thus, I believe he tinkered with this vehicle computer to get it sold before the engine light came on. Marco referred me to an "Audi Specialist" in Manassas who gave me false information about the car but not before he sqeezed me out of $1200 in repairs. He claimed he fixed the problem and turned off the check engine light so I could drive it the 500 miles for a warranty to fix the problem. BIG FAT LIE!!! Once I got a warranty with Car Shield and the 500 or so miles, I took it to the dealer again and got the same diagnostic. I contacted Car Shield after I put it back in Audi of Arlington and they came in with a forensic engine specialist that put cameras through the engine to prove they were not responsible for the issue. According to the computer it was able to provide a freeze frame of the actual time and date of the original check engine light after I got the car and of course it was before Car Shield warranty was obtained. I was stuck with a car that needed fixing so I took it to another Audi repair shop in Pasadena, Md that offered to fix it for $3600. That did not happen!! He made so many excuses such as my dog died, Covid issues, parts stuck on ships in the ocean from Germany, blah blah blah. The car left his shop worse than it came in. To sum it the horrible experience Marcos sold me a lemon and I would never do business with him again.....The saga continues. please see Criswell Audi of Annapolis and Paul's Automotive for the remainder of this dumpster fire of a story.....

SRT Auto Sales: A Pre-Owned Auto Dealer in King George, Va…read more I've waited a couple of weeks before writing this review, because SRT Auto Sales is a Virginia dealership and I'm a Maryland resident. I had my reservations about buying a car in Virginia and registering it in Maryland. I.e., differing state sales tax rates, tags, and title work, and differing State Auto Inspection requirements. How would that all work? And, what would be their level of Service after the sale, I.e. Tags & Title? In a Nutshell: You Should Definitely Visit SRT Auto Sales if You're in the market for a pre-owned car. They have a wide variety of cars and trucks to choose from, all VA Inspected, and come with a Free Carfax report, which goes a long way toward answering questions about how well the car was maintained in its previous life. And, be sure to seek out Sales Representative George Fallin! Here are just a couple of reasons why, based on my journey in finding a well-maintained pre-owned Van to fulfill my specific needs. SRT Auto Sales, website { www.srtautosales.com } had two vans in stock, both checking all the boxes, and the sticker price on one was fifteen hundred dollars below the suggested Carfax suggested retail price. I made the trip to King George, VA. But, as I noted, SRT is a Va. dealer, and that's where George Fallin comes into play. George asked questions, there was No pressure to buy, and he addressed all my concerns about buying in Virginia. He assured me that their Tag and Title people would handle everything with Maryland MVA., once I had it MD Inspected (passed with no problems), and I bought the Van on the spot. It should be noted that unlike all the other dealers I had visited, which offer a thirty-day or 1,000-mile warranty. SRT Auto Sales offers a Free Third Party Warranty for Ninety (90) Days or Three Thousand (3,000) miles, whichever comes first, just a little more peace of mind. Lastly, their service after the sale, 21days after purchasing the van I received a call from SRT Auto Sales, tag and title department, letting me know that my MD tags had arrived and that they were mailing them out that day, with overnight delivery. Great Sales and Service, which is hard to find in today's world.
