I will not be returning to this office again. From the beginning, it was a terrible experience. The doctor who saw me for a contact fitting was incredibly condescending and I felt that she scolded me like a child. As a service that is not covered by provincial healthcare, I expect that my doctors are understanding that price may be a concern for some people. However, when I inquired about the prices or different options, she made me feel like I was being judged or putting my health at risk by even asking such a question.
I placed an order for contacts, but when I put them on, they were awful. They didn't fit and everything was blurry. However, no followup appointment was offered (as they are supposed to) so I just thought I was getting used to them. I went through two pairs before making another appointment to see what's wrong.
So I called to explain and was told that I would see the owner of the business and she would correct my prescription and was told that they would be offering me a discount on my next order for the ones they mixed up. So I made another appointment. I originally booked for earlier but couldn't make it so I called and asked for a later appointment on the same day and was told that I could come in at a later time (no day given, assumed same day) with the owner who would personally review everything. No confirmation was given for this appointment. However, when I arrived at the office on Friday, I was told that no, my appointment was in fact the day before (Thursday). No one had called to tell me I had missed it.
So I had to see not the owner like planned, but the same condescending doctor as before. I was told that the office mislabeled my contacts and that's why they were not fitting. Two pairs wasted.She had me put in another pair and examined me again and decided that she would make a minor adjustment. She told me I could throw out the pair I was wearing and she would give me a new sample pack. Right after I threw them out, she informed me that they didn't have a sample pair to give me. So now, the pair that I just opened and wore for merely minutes was wasted without a replacement. This makes 3 pairs (half of my order) wasted.
So finally, I got the sample pair that they ordered and decided I would call to cancel the followup and just order the contacts. However, after being told that I didn't even have a appointment that week to cancel because they messed that up to, that they would not be offering me any discount. After some discussion, it was offered to me that I get two extra sample lenses with my order. However, at this point, I do not feel that it is an adequate incentive for me to continue bringing my business to this office as I would still be paying the full cost of the contacts again for the second time in 2 months for something that should have lasted me at least 6 and can't even use anymore because of their own mistake.
And finally, to top it off, I received a call today from the office to inform me of the follow-up appointment I have this week about my contacts which no one had thought to cancel after finding out that it misscheduled.
This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this office to anyone. read more
