A portable, easy to lay down and lift up ramp would solve the issue. However, I was informed that this won't help as the office has changed inside so that I can't wheel about in there even if I did gain entry. There is no space, this is what I was told. JM, in response to your need for a larger space to serve everyone: And yet last year I was able to fit in the waiting area and get an exam. I don't think that your space has suddenly become smaller. And in regard to your landlord not supplying a portable, light weight, easy to carry and place on the step out front to make your store accessible: This isn't something that the landlord would need to install as it doesn't get installed and would work like moving a chair from one side of the room to another. There is no point in my continuing comments to these excuses that you are making as the bottom line is: My appointment was cancelled this year by your office due to my need for that portable ramp. I don't expect you to truly understand how bad this feels for me. After finding an optometrist last year, I now must start over due to something as simple and easy as a portable ramp.

I have had one eye exam there and my 6 year old son has had two now. This was in total my 4th or 5th time getting an eye exam, and I was so impressed with what I learned about my vision and eye health. I had never experienced such an in-depth exam before, it was very thorough. We made a few notes and will keep an 'eye' on some of the things we discovered. My new prescription is excellent, although it took more time than anticipated. That being said, they advised me that they re-did it for the second time so it was perfect. I was happy to wait a bit longer to get it right. I have developed a very close relationship with the Merivale Vision Care team over the years, after attending and supporting a number of their fundraising events. I get my eyes examined at Westboro eyeDOCS but…read morewhen I need some additional testing they send me to this location as they have more equipment and are able to do tests that other eyeDOCS locations can't. I recently had a Visual Field Test here and was happy with the service. Staff there are nice and friendly and the place is very clean. They keep the floors clean by asking all patients to cover their footwear with disposable blue shoe covers when you enter the office. There's a door-less closet for you to hang up your coat as well (with hangers, not just a coat rack where other people pile their coats on top of yours and then when you leave you have to remove like 5 coats to get to yours and I always have to pray that my coat doesn't smell like cigarette smoke or isn't covered in cat hair afterwards, yeah can you tell I hate public coat racks). Like other eyeDOCS locations, they have a small selection of eyeglasses frames for sale. This location has free parking at the side of the building and behind the building. The office is a bit awkwardly situated right off of a roundabout, but there usually not too much traffic there, at least not the times that I've been.

The store has moved to a bigger and brighter location within the same mall. The staff were helpful with frame selection and were knowledgeable about their products. I have a hard time finding the right frame for the shape of my face and my heavy prescription but the person who helped me was very good at finding the best options. Many seem to be bilingual as well. Unlike in the older location, there are more staff so service is very fast and efficient. There is a wide selection of glasses from lower end to medium end. Not a lot of high end, but some, in particular Kate Spade, Banana Republic and Oakley. When I was in a couple of weeks ago, there was a special on frames if the lenses are ordered from them. Definitely a great place to go for glasses!
