Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. This is an amazing park that can look very modest from outside and has one of the best sunset views that you can ask for. It has a neat parking to start with, and has neat roads that lead you to the beach. We got there on time and watched the sun set behind the Newark port, across the Newark bay. There is also a wooden bridge that has an entrance with an arch of the Mayor's name engraved on it. We didn't walk on it to get to the other side as it was getting darker. If you are looking for sunset places in New Jersey, this is definitely one of it.

10/4/25 Visit: We came to visit the large crane in the park…read more The Crane is a magnificent structure "not to be missed". The crane was manufactured by the Electric Launch Company (ELCO). It was used to lift the PT boats used in WWII. In the park, there's a plaque dedicated to the people who worked at the Elco Co. along with the service people who served on the PT boats. The park has other highlights: - Stunning marsh birds. - Enclosed viewing areas of the waters. - Lovely wooden bridge. - Benches. Looks like fishing is good here, as we saw several men fishing. During our visit, we did see law enforcement patrolling the area. Unfortunately, the restrooms needed attention. Other than the restrooms, The Richard A. Rutkowski Park is a "must see". There's ample parking along the water.
