A special thank you to Marcela and Michael during my first hospitalization, and Gwen, Martha, Lauren, Sarah, and Emilio during my second. ( From level 4) After leaving Ascension Seton and experiencing a different level of care during my second hospitalization, I was reminded of just how much attentive, compassionate care matters when you're at your most vulnerable. When you're dealing with serious medical concerns, pain, and uncertainty, being heard, having your concerns taken seriously, and feeling genuinely cared for make all the difference. Thank you all for being so attentive, compassionate, and dedicated to my medical needs during such a difficult and frightening time. The care and kindness you showed me truly made a difference. I'm incredibly grateful to have been cared for by such an amazing team. Sometimes, the difference in care speaks for itself. To each of you who went above and beyond, you are appreciated more than you know. I also want to note, that the hospital food was good and I enjoyed that they had a lot to choose from. This allowed me to make healthy choices for me to eat

Knowledge is power and I love that I can exercise my power within the bounds of being a patient to an obviously intelligent physician. I am very grateful for his compassionate care. In the several times I've been to clinics and emergency room there they mostly provided excellent…read morecare, but when there's a problem there is no direct way to contact the department you have the problem with, clearly by design. For instance, just over two weeks ago, I had a routine mammogram done there. When I called for the appointment they said they needed to generate a doctor's order, and I had them put the name of my doctor at ARC to send the report to. To date my doctor hasn't got the report. There is no reasonable way that after two weeks the report is not done. If it's not done that 's not reasonable, and if that were the case it should have been easy enough to determine that that is the status. I asked at the time if I coudl have a copy of the images and they said not until the report was cleared by a doctor. AI says I should be able to see the report in my online chart even if it wasn't sent to my doctor. It isn't there. Neither is any method to contact anyone about it provided. My doctor's nurse tried to get the report. She was inappropriately routed to Medical Records, not Radiology that did the mammogram, and was passed from person to person and given a huge runaround. She never learned what is the problem with my doctor whose name was on the order getting the report. She apparently never spoke with a supervisor or manager in that department. I called the clinic, and no way we're allwoed to be put through to radiology. I asked for the clinic medical director's office or else administrative offices and was told I could only be put through to Medical Records or "Guest Services". "Guest Services" sounds most likely to exist to make me feel very small and cut off any possibility of solving the issue. I identified the clinic medical director and wrote to him that they'd better send that report to my doctor by the end of this week or Medicare, my insurance, and other appropriate agencies will hear about it. I have an update. Radiology responded to my letter. The admin I talked to agreed with me that patients don't need to be forcibly kept away from Radiology when checking into something like this and they need to fix that. My results are delayed because they are having trouble getting earlier mammograms taht were done elsewhere for comparison. They have a 20 or 21 day deadline, she may have said that's a state law. So I upgraded my rating. But I see too many similar complaints to think the problem is necessarily going to quickly get solved.

They have several parking garages that offer short term parking for free (like 30 min or less), but otherwise unless you have validation, you do have to pay. The spots are kind of small and so are the signs in the parking garage, so pay close attention to make sure you're driving in the right place. Overall though, this is a pretty good med center in my opinion that offers most of the major medical subspecialties you may need for your care. The inpatient rehab is also one of the best in Austin, and they are one of the only facilities that offers a driving test if there's a medical concern for someone's safety re: driving (e.g. in a patient with cognitive impairment/early dementia).

i've gone to this urgent care over the years. the wait time varies but is often long…read more I appreciate being able to email them my health history and medication list, as both are long & complex. I think my doing that may be why the Dr who saw me took me seriously, (i saw he had printed out my health history and had highlighted things in it) and spent more time with me than others have. I was super anxious, wayyyyg overtired, and experiencing very intense restless leg (and other parts of my body) syndrome with many forceful spasms, all my muscles in my body were tightly clenched and i couldn't get them to relax and I was also in a lot of pain (this was due to a recent medication change, and my having a bad reaction to it), which I told them. So, at first I was disappointed because Dr. Joe told me that they couldn't give me muscle relaxers bc they would amplify the effects of the drug i was on that I was badly reacting to, so I felt like crying because i didn't know what to do, how to get help. Dr. Joe recommended I go back to my original dosage of the medication, and took the time to show me stretches i could do, and recommended that I take pedialyte or coconut water, and use arnica cream. i followed his advice, got the arnica tablets for leg cramps (i took 6) and the arnica cream for arthritic relief, which i rubbed all over myself. i drank coconut water and went back to my usual dosage of the medication, and did stretches and doing these things worked; got a full 8 hrs of sleep and only had a few leg spasms the whole night! my muscles feel relaxed now, and I am super grateful for that. I appreciate Dr. Joe listening and taking me seriously and recommending all he did, bc i am now back to my normal level of poor health, which is so much less bad than it was before Dr. Joe's help. Emailing health histories and med lists really may have made the difference here, i'm always going to do that in the future. Their email: occmed.pr@texasmedclinic.com

Was referred to a GI doctor for my stomach issues only, even though I complained about a fever I've had for 3 days. I came in around 9pm so it seemed like they wanted to go home as fast as possible. Also no hand soap in the waiting room bathroom? Not even a soap dispenser in sight. Save the time and go to a different urgent care EDIT: Found out I had severe dehydration and a nasty virus that needed attention from the ER. Wish I would have received better care.

I only have great things to say about this clinic! My family has been going here since we moved…read morehere two years ago. My kids see Dr. Shah and I see Dr. Angelelli. Both providers are courteous, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. They take the time to listen to our concerns and answer any questions we may have - and never in a condescending manner. I always feel reassured and at ease when I leave an appt with either doctor. I really appreciate that Dr. Shah can relate to me as a mom of small children and provide recommendations, not only as a medical professional/expert, but also with that momma perspective. As far as after-hours, we had a wonderful experience with Dr. Whited. He was very personable and calmly evaluated our daughter after she fell and hit her head. He concluded that she was fine and sent us home, but told us to call him if we noticed some specific signs throughout the night. The next morning, he called right before he went into surgery just to check on our daughter. That meant so much to me and my husband. He also made sure to communicate with Dr. Shah regarding the incident and she checked in that day as well. Oh, and I cannot write a review without mentioning their AWESOME nurses, Alli and Erin. Both are great at their jobs! My daughter especially adores "Ms. Alli." :) The receptionists/administrative assts are also friendly and helpful (There is one in particular who always brightens our day, but sadly I cannot remember her name! She usually sits on the far right). My only negative thing to say about BSW, in general, is that you cannot reach your clinics directly and have to call the main line every time. For example, if the clinic calls with lab results and you miss it, you must call the main line and the representative has to call the clinic to let them know you called back. Then you have to wait again for them to call. That can be a little frustrating at times. However, this is not the clinic's fault.

Only came here because it was in-network and close to my house after a fall.
