For the price my manicotti was smaller than at some other places. I even asked for extra Feta cheese and I couldn't tell that the order had any. The garlic bread was tasty. 4 stars for the delicious honey cake with cream cheese icing. It was so yummy and filling. All in all the food was decently good but in my opinion I've had better at a different restaurant.

Add to that the temperature of the dishes was not hot. For example the butter chicken has large chucks of chicken but they were warm at best and lacked taste and the sauce was very watery. Some of the salads were nicely done but it took the guests prompting to get them topped up. The naan bread was nicely done.

Admittedly this is the first time I've ever had a donair! I know there are better places for donairs (Baraka...someday), but I enjoyed what I had. The lamb tasted really good and the combination of garlic and sweet sauce was also quite nice. The prices were very reasonable too, even for delivery. Might go with the beef shawarma next time so I can compare with other beef shawarmas I've had in the city.

The Avocado smoothie was not sweet enough but it definitely tasted like avocados. I think it may really be organic, smooshed avocados made to drink. Maybe freshly made in the back of the store. My cumin roasted potatoes were a bit under cooked, and the tandoori chicken needed to me marinated a bit more, the seasoning was mild, and the raita was perfect. They were also served their meals before us! Very insulting!! The food was ok but the rice was lukewarm and so was the meat! The server practically ignored us! It was our first time at this restaurant, and it will be our last time! The meals are quite expensive for what you get! Not recommended to celebrate a birthday or any other important occasion!

I agree with Anlina that this place is a totally hidden gem. The restaurant itself isn't that large but a good family sized restaurant with about 16 tables (many seating 4 with some 2s and a larger group table). Service is pretty attentive with the water refills. The buffet selection is not that large compared to East India or Ivory but it definitely offers enough for any Indian food fan to be satisfied. Some of the dishes aren't kept as hot (temperature wise), it felt lukewarm as it seemed like some dishes had been sitting there for a while. Other than that, for $12.99, I have no issues with this place! The best dishes are actually the vegetarian ones. The palak paneer was smooth, creamy and had a little kick to and great seasoning. The eggplant bhartha has great flavour and the most delicious potatoes. The vegetable korma was also rich and creamy. The butter chicken was okay - it's average, not that flavourful. The shrimp curry suffered a bit from sitting in the buffet pan as the last few shrimps I got were stringy. The spicy chicken was in a bright red sauce, though it didn't taste that spicy to me it had some good flavours going there. The vegetable samosa is baked, the pastry is a bit too thick for my liking but the filling is pretty good. The plain naan is included, a nice perk as many places charge extra. The naan tasted like it was baked as well and not made in a tandor oven so it tasted more like westernized flat bread. This place is located in a stripmall, so look for the Dairy Queen that's across from Samosa Crown on Keewaitin.

Went with the wife and daughter and where met by a rather depressed looking waitress. Took our seats Noone came near us. Finally had to go up and ask for Nan bread. Up for our first round of food and most of the trays only had the sauce in them. Wife went for tandoori chicken and it was well undercooked. ..still pink. Pointed this out to the depressed girl. Not much response. Nan bread arrived yuck greasy. Had to walk up to the counter again to ask for water and a beer. 20 minutes later the water arrived...Luke warm from tap. Beer wasn't much better. Had enough and went up ask for owner or manager no one there. Complained about food and got a blank look from the charming waitress. Paid bill and walked out!!!!! Well Azalea's name came up; I phoned, and they welcome vaccinated patrons for indoor dining. So we went, and loved it. Fresh, perfectly prepared food, in generous proportions. Although most of the signage and the placemats were in Chinese, the person who served us spoke fluent English, and was extremely helpful. We will likely treat Azalea as our preferred Chinese restaurant from now on. One slight caution: they closed at 7:00 PM on this Thursday evening. Being opposite the University of Winnipeg, perhaps their main traffic consists of students during the day. Perhaps a 7:00 PM closing is temporary, during COVID. Check before coming.

I have my wedding catering, friends gathering and random chinese food crave all done in this restaurant. To start off, their menu has westerner choice and local chinese choice. The chief/ owner has been serving chinese food even back in china, he knows what he is doing. They use great quality of oil and food to serve, u can tell once you eat. Their kitchen door is open, u know they take good care of their kitchen and clean. My favorite dishes are : 1/ stir-fried eggplants (best in my life, even compare to other city and country) 2/ stir-fried beef/lamb with onion 3/ traditional dong bei "Guo bao rou" (like sweet and sour pock but much more delicious, lots more difficult to cook) 4/ ground pork with green bean (little spicy) I mean anything is really good there, they are just my favorite. Delivery is little tricky u are best to arrange ahead or order it through skipthedish. All in all, azalea is my absolute love. I just wish they have bubble tea, but their smoothie is still epic.
