Story time: At first I thought it (the order) was a mistake because I ordered off of door dash and the bag it came in was just an unmarked plastic bag; so I reordered but received the same thing. I was disappointed given that I was expecting 8 individual samosas (as shown on the Bengali sweets website), so I gave the store a call. When the owner picked up, he was nothing short of rude and expressed that he couldn't explain anything over the phone and that I should come to the store in person. I was free so I made the trip and when I went, he made no attempt to explain or rectify the misunderstanding, he was rude and patronizing (saying I am ignorant and don't understand the culture because I'm not Bengali which may be true but I did my research so I thought the comment was rather offensive), and he was trash talking me and a fellow customer (who stood up to him for me when he made me cry) to a customer who walked in during all of this. In total, me and another customer (who had insisted on buying the 8 samosas I tried to order) spent 1.5 hours at the store waiting for the food on the owner's promise that the food would take "five more minutes". I wish this experience hadn't happened because me and my community genuinely love the food there but the owner's behaviour and actions are hard to ignore.

The portions was generous, but a bit more protein would've been nice. Worth dropping by if you're in the neighborhood but not worth the drive. Also, parking is limited & tight.

Some of the dishes aren't kept as hot (temperature wise), it felt lukewarm as it seemed like some dishes had been sitting there for a while. The spicy chicken was in a bright red sauce, though it didn't taste that spicy to me it had some good flavours going there. The vegetable samosa is baked, the pastry is a bit too thick for my liking but the filling is pretty good. The plain naan is included, a nice perk as many places charge extra. The naan tasted like it was baked as well and not made in a tandor oven so it tasted more like westernized flat bread. It used to only be available in selected days, but because of the pandemic the owners made it available everyday. The cost may seem a bit steep at $23, but it's worth it when you see the portion size. You'd have to be extremely hungry to finish the food off in one go...which I barely finished! The ox tail was extremely flavourful and juicy; I can definitely see where the hype is cause I've seriously never had food this filling and satisfying. Famena's is on Doordash during these tough times, but please, for the love of god, order from them directly. They deserve your support right now and are barely hanging on. She then handed me a wooden spoon -- angrily, and holding it by the mouth of the spoon, seemingly to make a point that we didn't deserve clean utensils. I dropped it.
