I perhaps expected a little more punch to the flavors here, but all of the punch came in one of the…read morepre-meal bread dips. Simply waving the bread over the little dish set my tongue on fire, never mind actually meaningfully dipping it. And I like my food spicy. So beware the green stuff, in a GOOD way! Actually, both the bread and the dips here were superior to most others in Portugal. They were out of the crab curry that I wanted, and our waitress recommended fish stew. The 'stew' was more just a couple steaks on a plate with a thin sauce on top. The sauce was great, tomatoey and clean, though I wish it had stuck to the meat better. The fish was just a good satisfying non-fancy steak. Sadly, the guava juice was canned, not fresh, though she mixed it with fresh orange juice, I believe.

Came for Monday lunch and no wait- though I believe if you go online you can make reservations…read more Primarily came here because i wanted to reminisce and try out Mozambican food again and I wasn't disappointed, for lunch Monday to Friday they have a special- 7 euros for an entree, side, a drink and coffee. For 8.50 euros, you can add samosa to it. I picked the latter. The samosa was soft flavorful and mildly spicy. I ordered the lamb for my main course. Very soft, no aftertaste, and moist. Would definitely be open to trying out their seafood options next and for the price you can't beat it.

A beautiful tapas restaurant with truly unique flavor combinations for some of the best fusion…read morecuisine I've ever had! Every dish had a unique flavor element that excited my pallet. The only downside was that we were seated in the corner of the restaurant so there was no light on our table. I had to hold my phone's flashlight up to the food for the entire meal. What we ordered Salad with duck in hoisin sauce, sweet and salty forward salad, paired with thinly sliced apples, pine nuts, pomegranate, and peanuts. Familar flavors that taste like a Chinese chicken salad's cousin. Tagliatelle pasta in a light cream sauce with mushrooms and pine nuts. The folds of the tagliatelle perfectly soaked up the sauce. Nice al dente with some cheese and onion shavings on top. Duck breast in a djon mustard sweet gravy paired with an assortment of vegetables. I enjoyed the rich gravy with the duck. Salmon ceviche paired with mango mouse. A bright creamy flavor, fresh fish, colorful with crostini. Butterfish from the azores, grilled foie gra, topiko. Butterfish is light and clean with a sugar caramelized top, loved the crunch of the bonito, went with a shoyu based sauce. Very little foie gras. Grilled octopus slices with edamame, roasted sweet potatoes, and a poached egg. The octopus was perfectly cooked and lightly smoky, some chili oil in the edamame added a light kick. Nice light dish that emphasized the octopus flavor.

The scallops and butterfish both missed the mark. There was way too much going on! Great presentation with the scallops, but zero smoky flavor. The foie gras with the butterfish didn't seem necessary and I wouldn't have even known it was in there anyway but it was listed on the menu. Lychee panna cotta also meh. One of the staff members seemed thrilled to present the dishes, while the others were aloof. Honestly, one of the most underwhelming restaurants during our time in Portugal.

We read very favorable reviews of this restaurant, it was clearly a local favorite and we could…read morewalk to it from where we stayed on vacation. The focus here is on rotisserie chicken; they have other items but they're not the main event. It's very big inside, 2 stories and even early it's pretty busy. The chicken is well seasoned and very juicy; enough so that you know why it's So popular. Sides I can barely remember , but everything else was good- it's just that you will Always remember that chicken! Other than that, my only other clear memory of that dinner is that it was very reasonably priced. If I were in the area again, I'd return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

I am delighted that I tried this place. Upon walking in, there is a diner countertop that one can…read moresit at and basically watch the kitchen prepare your food. There is also dining upstairs. As I came in on my own I opted for the one open stool at the counter. The restaurant was busy on a Monday early evening, about 5:30-6:00 pm-ish, with what felt like mostly locals. They have a regular menu, a daily menu printed on the counter top, and they also do Take-Away. Their specialty is definitely their roasted chicken, which one can see cooking on spits at the entrance of the restatruant, conjuring such amazing smells that truly open up the appetite. The staff is sweet and did their best to serve me, with my English/Spanish and no Portugese self. Everything I ate was top-tier without being fancy. Simple and flavorful. I ordered a 1/2 chicken (way too much for me by myself) that came with batatas (french fries- which I didnt love), so I ordered a side of white rice and a salad, as well as what I would call a carafe of wine (it was definitely either two very healthy pours or 3 regular ones). All in all, I paid $15 euros, which I thought was a great value for all that I was given and how tasty everything was.
