Really enjoyed our week at this motel. We originally were worried about a "motel" but high seas was…read morea lovely spot! The pool was wonderful as it was very hot this week, and there were plenty of chairs and a a couple umbrellas for shade. I loved that there was a little deck spot off the parking lots that had some Adirondack chairs and a picnic table and umbrellas so it had shade. I spent some time out here reading and it was very peaceful. Our room was spacious, enough space for four women, and the hot water was booming in the shower. Ample closet space and a full size mini fridge! Our only gripe is that the beds were harder than we like but overall it was affordable so that was fine. They have coin operated laundry and vending machines, we wished they had card option on it, but there was also free coffee, tea and a microwave.

Our first time in Maine and we have always wanted to visit Acadia National Park…read more I found this motel based on recommendations and you don't need to cross your fingers hoping for the best when you come to this place. You will be pleased. We have been to many different lodgings and I could not have been happier with our choice to stay here. This is a well run facility, nothing fancy and they do offer some welcoming amenities...swimming pool will close for the season this second weekend in Sept. and it is heated. Vending room where you can use their microwave, vending machine, a few tables and chairs to eat your take out meals and they provide a large pot of hot coffee in the morning. Hot water is available throughout the day to make tea or hot chocolate. It is a family run business which adds more of a warm personal touch...it begins from when you are greeted to when we departed. A late check in turned into a happy discussion about all things LL Bean, which was too funny. He provided helpful tips and the manner in how they respond to probably frequently asked questions was courteous and friendly. It is a convenient short drive to the entrance to Acadia NP. Local restaurants and the main town area is a short distance away. The buildings are neatly arranged and grounds kept clean and in an attractive wooded area. The main lodging structures are close to their guest laundry, heated pool. There is a playground area and the location was nice and quiet. The rooms are easily accessed with parking right outside the front door. Makes it easy to manage your belongings and loading and unloading your car. The rooms were sized well and were cleaned daily. This was so welcoming after coming back from a long day of hiking and exploring. The 2 Queen beds we had were very comfortable. There is a larger sized "mini-refrigerator". TV had good reception. WiFi easy to connect to. The water pressure was great. You can tell the owners make it a point to take care of their property and provide helpful and supportive service to their customers. I would gladly return to this facility for another visit.

What a beautiful way to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary!…read more The Bayview Hotel provided us with a room overlooking Frenchman Bay. We enjoyed sunrise views 3/4 mornings. (The 4th one was from Cadillac Summit.) Our room was spacious with one of the most comfortable comforters I've felt. We had a keurig machine, microwave, and mini fridge in our room. Appreciated the heater in the bathroom. Loved being greeted by the geese family on property in the morning and afternoon just outside our balcony. Our balcony had a couple of chairs with a table. We noticed the room beside us had a couch and bar stools in their balcony. While our balcony had cobwebs in every ceiling corner (lots of spiders on the railing), we were still able to enjoy the majestic sunrise views. They serve a continental breakfast every morning at 0700. Mid-day they serve charcuterie, cookies, fruits with refreshing infused water, tea&coffee. By far this was the most serene accommodation we've had. Calm and peaceful. They provide Adirondack chairs overlooking the bay. Friendly staff~ Brad at the front desk was kind in printing our Cadillac Sunrise pass for us & greeted us every time we passed the front desk. The hotel is less than 8 minutes from the Waterfront and about 10 min to Acadia National park depending on which entrance you use. All in all would return and recommend.

The room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was also very comfortable. We stayed in one of the peak king rooms with a beautiful view of the ocean. Highly recommend booking one of these rooms. We were not able to get tickets to see the sunrise, but we were able to see one from our balcony. We also enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee out there one quiet morning. The breakfast was very good with many options to have before heading out for the day. All of the egg dishes were outstanding. They also have a shuttle service that you can take if you want to go out for dinner in town. This was our first time to Bar Harbor and Bayview but it won't be our last.

Large rooms with a couch, multiple recliners, and stove to enjoy a fire. The views were beautiful! This place was clean with a lovely fully equipped kitchen and renovated bathrooms. The staff were super friendly. The owners loaned us pots to boil our lobster that were freshly caught by the locals. Enjoyed the sunset. Visited nearby Acadia NP. Still family owned, 1 of only 3 in the area. Our family has decided this is the best place we have ever stayed and we have traveled extensively.

Found this place on Yelp (of course!), and I was immediately attracted to its waterside location…read moreand the fact that it wasn't on the main road but on the 'old' Bar Harbor road. David made us very welcome when we arrived and gave us the orientation talk on the island, giving us a couple of local newspapers and marking down worthwhile sights on the maps before showing us to our 'cottage'. I'd actually describe the cottage as more of a beach hut (we had one of the smaller ones), but it had everything in it and was only a few yards from the water's edge with great views over Salisbury Cove. There was a porch with chairs and table where you could sit and watch the sunset. Very pleasant. Inside, the cottage was scrupulously clean, there is a small kitchen area with stove and coffee maker etc. if you wanted to eat in. It could have done with an electric kettle to make tea with, although you could use the coffee maker to boil water I guess. There's a small heater in the wall that we used a few times as we had a couple of rainy days during our stay. Best of all was the shower - great water pressure and piping hot. A great start to the morning. Followed by a cup of complementary coffee from reception, we were all set to go and explore. So thanks to David and Jayne - we really enjoyed our few days here and would gladly return in future.
