As soon as you walk in, there are so many hands-on experiences happening. From balloon animal making to staff walking around on stilts, there was something to see everywhere. There was even a live DJ playing as you walked around, and the smell of all the amazing food made the whole place feel so lively and fun. One of my favorite parts was discovering the stingray tank! You can actually touch the stingrays! The views were incredible, especially seeing the ballpark in the background while walking around the tank. It was such a cool experience that I honestly wasn't expecting at a baseball game. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. They even took a picture of us with the gates open, giving us an entire view of the field. Those little moments really made the experience even better. We also tried the drink of the day, which was piña colada-inspired. It wasn't too spirit-forward, but it also wasn't overly sweet--it was a really nice blend and definitely something I'd get again. And the food! We had a short rib grilled cheese that was SO flavorful. Even with all that cheese, it wasn't greasy at all. The combination of the short rib, cheese, and grilled bread was honestly perfect. Our seats were awesome, and we even managed to catch a ball during the game, which made the experience even more memorable! Overall, I genuinely don't understand all the bad reviews for this ballpark. I had an absolutely amazing time, and it's such a great place to bring the family. This was only my third ballpark, but I can already say it's one of my favorites. I would absolutely come back!

Plenty of beige concrete and the white ceiling. A little light blue paint here and there on the bottom. It's not going to bring out artists to take renderings of it. The oversized fake baseballs on the outside don't exactly help. Near the home plate entrance, they have two statues. One of which is for winning a pennant. I mean, really? And remember, it's clear bags only, as if it were an NFL stadium. And then inside, I would describe the field area as tacky and sterile. The catwalks are so prevalent they should charge people extra admission to walk them. And bless them, I know the hurricane from a few years ago caused massive problems. But looking at the white roof form the inside, it looks just like a canopy covering you'd see at a circus. The tank in center field with live stingrays is cool to look at for about a minute or two. For food, I started with the Chicken Parm sandwich. I was incredibly impressed by the bread, it was a toasted semolina loaf. Could not have been much better. The chicken was pretty crispy, that was actually better than what I had at New York the prior day. Didn't love the marinara, it needed more seasoning. About an hour later, I tried a Cubano sandwich. And it was served Tampa style with Genoa salami added to the usual roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickle slices, and mustard. It was very good, though I'm not sure if I prefer that one or the Miami style more. I would say the Tampa sandwich is a little bit saltier with the addition of the salami, but at least there's more meat. Maybe the weird part is I drank a bottled protein milkshake with it. I mean it was the same price as a soda or a water, so why not? Alcohol was a joke. The cheapest option was around $18. For this stadium, with so few fans, there should be some decent deals. Maybe a Budweiser for $5 at one specific stand? Just an idea?! At the game, there were maybe 13,000 fans, at least a third of them were rooting for Toronto. And my goodness, you talk about advertisement overload! And yet, there is just one scoreboard, it's in right field. So they compress a lot of information onto that one board. As a result, it can be hard to find the info you're looking for. I'm looking for a radar gum for the mph of the pitch and I'm finding vertical break and all this other stuff. Probably took about five or six pitches. One other knock, this place gets too focused on politics and sexuality with certain signs and advertisements. Not cool. I'm coming to a bseball game to have fun. Not to think about the problems of the world.

To date I have been to five of the Grapefruit League stadiums and Ed Smith is absolutely my favorite. Sure, I am an O's fan and biased but even so, it's a great stadium. I love the character of the Spanish-Colonial architecture, the breezy concourse, abundant trees, big bathrooms, overall cleanliness and throw backs to Camden Yards. Camden green is abound and I like that this feels like the Orioles spring training home and not just some generic stadium. Also, people here are just happy and friendly. Both the concessions and team store are great. The team store is large and has lots of O's gear. I wish that they had more Spring Training-specific stuff. Back in the day I got some nice gear that was thoughtfully designed to incorporate elements of Florida, the Grapefruit League and the Orioles. On my most recent visit most of the gear I found was classic Orioles gear with the words "Spring Training" added to it. Snooze. There are various concession lines throughout the stadium so lines are never too long. On my recent visit I stuck to classic baseball game fare like hot dogs, soft pretzels and beer. Most concessions have the same stuff but there is one that offers healthy options and one place that is dedicated to craft beer. Also, if you're into chicken, there is a Chick-fil-A onsite. There are a few official lots for the stadium that offer parking around $20 although we paid a local business to pay in their lot for $20 which was equally as convenient. The surrounding streets close before the game and the area can get a little trafficky so if you want to be there for first pitch be sure to give yourself to find parking and your seat.

Really great, small venue for watching a local team…read more The Tampa Bay Suns play at Blake High School, but what they've done to make a public high school an appropriate place for a professional sports club is pretty fantastic. The stadium is across the river from Armature Works. As such, parking is at AW ($10 event day parking), and you take the Pirate Water Taxi for free to the stadium. The stadium has food trucks, including from Cru, Berns/Haven, and Coldstone. They have portable/trailer bathrooms, but they are real and clean. The stadium only has a 5000 person capacity, but that is part of the charm. It's so small that there really are no bad seats. It's fun seeing the players up so close! What a great first sports experience for my young daughter.

The restrooms weren't in the best condition. The food and drink options are just ok here. Near the end we left a bit early and all the concession stands were giving out the leftover food for free. We got a free box of pizza on the way out which was a fun surprise! I definitely recommend, but I'd definitely avoid in the thick of summer.. not much shade unless you get a seat in the small covered area.

This is a 16.4 acre complex of 6 (200 feet)youth baseball fields (two of which can be used for…read morebaseball or softball) and one 300 foot field for junior or senior baseball. The fields are numbered and clearly marked so you can find your team. The complex was remodeled in 2014. It's named after Sid Lickton the designer of the original complex and a supporter of little league baseball. There are also picnic areas, and a couple cages in which to warm up/practice throwing. In the center of the complex is a building with (clean) rest rooms and an area marked concessions (although it was closed when we were there). We got our hotdog/hamburger lunch fresh off the grill from a concessionaire right next to the outside of the building... There's also supposed to be a press box there, but we didn't see it. The building has an overhang which is perfect to sit under when it rains. By each field is a small set of tiered grandstand metal seating but most people bring their own chairs, coolers, tents, etc. They charged a $5 fee each day for entry during the tournament we attended. There was convenient parking in spaces around the outside of the complex.

But we went for the brave and Orioles game and it was a lot of fun. We were watching them hit them out the park. My son ended up finding two out in the parking lot and he was super excited to bring a ball home! They have some bites like hotdogs, peanuts, cookies, and also some drinks. They do have an elevator for anyone who needs it and a gift shop downstairs that was open.

There was a Fall Arts & Crafts Fest hosted between 10am-3pm in the front of the stadium and luckily the tiki bar was open so we got to climb up the stairs and take a look around the stadium. Unfortunately one of the family bathrooms I went into up there had a leaky ceiling and no cone inside or caution of any sort, I got dripped on, ew. But it was a quick in and out because my toddler was too excited about the big stadium he wanted to climb down all those stairs and it was too hot of a day so we just tried to get back to the festivities out front and go. There was a cute blow up chair for kids that mine liked. But there were so many puddles everywhere! Probably from all the AC's or just plain leaks because how do you explain that leak in the bathroom ceiling? Water all around the blow up chair, down the staircase and throughout the entrance, it was not very comfortable to navigate around and I had to stop my kid from stomping in them. I had to leave my stroller below because there was no ramp that I saw to bring it up with me. So because of that I knocked down another star, it was a quick visit, but I saw what I needed to know it wasn't a place for me right now because of my kiddo. The view of the tiki bar and tables isn't bad, you can see The small lake and view of the stadium so that's not too bad.
