We caught the Tampa Rays final home-stand at George Steinbrenner stadium. Next year the Rays will go back to hosting home games at Tropicana Field. The Yankees own the stadium so they will be back in the spring. The baseball field is across the street from Raymond James stadium the home of the Buccaneers. Regular parking was in the Raymond James lot and attendees walked over an elevated crosswalk to the Steinbrenner entrance. Premium parking at Steinbrenner stadium is $60 per car per event. I had not been to a Yankees spring training game at this facility in years. This stadium is really well maintained. The restrooms were very clean, neat and quite nice for a stadium. The Webullpen Clubs at Steinbrenner Field are located at the first and third base sections. Each club offers a selection of concessions including traditional ballgame fare, Cuban and chicken sandwiches, burgers, chicken strips, and quesadillas alongside a variety of beers on tap. I had the chicken quesadilla and in the club it came with green and red salsa. It had plenty of chicken and you could see lots of peppers in the cheese mix. I thought it was a good deal at 10.99 even outside the stadium setting. The Webullpen feels like a perk usually available with club level seats but here is open to any ticket holder. The air conditioned space had high top tables and couches with TVs all around showing the action. Quick serve orders are placed at the bar where they hand over drinks immediately and you get a number for the kitchen to deliver your food. Besides ushers I also saw staff with yellow shirts that said 'fan host' and they seemed to be guest services placed all around the stadium including the Webullpen. The stands were pretty standard stadium seating with cup holders. Initially the lower level seating on this September evening seemed comfortable, once the place filled up it was hot and sweaty. The Rays played a good game but did not win. This loss dashed any hope of post season play. read more

Baseball under the stars is a delight! I went to the Rays vs Blue Jays game on September 17th. After a short weather delay, the game got started. While being outside, there were no issues with bugs or mosquitos. The field is fantastic! Seats feel so close and the energy is amazing. I always appreciate getting a Viva when I go to a Rays or Rowdies game. Baseball felt more immersive here compared to The Trop. I'm glad I was able to make it to a game prior to the Rays return to The Trop. read more

Came out to George M. Steinbrenner Field 2 to catch the Tampa Tarpons take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers, and honestly, it was the kind of day that reminds you why baseball is America's pastime. I got to the Tampa Bay Rays game against the Guardians late but I noticed that I didn't have to pay for parking. This is my first time going to this stadium but it was a nice small stadium and it was super easy to navigate. When I got there with my mom and twin sister the associates there told us exactly how to get to our seats and we even used the elevator to the second floor. There was not a lot of walking and that is a plus because my mom cannot walk long distance. I liked how this stadium named the tune they were playing. I really enjoyed myself in this game. read more

This is a great ball park where the Tampa Bay Rays are playing their 2025 season. I was invited to attend a game on a Thursday afternoon, so I have no idea of pricing, but we also enjoyed premier parking which was on a paved parking lot and close to the entrance. The stadium has a number of vendors for food and beverages as well as beverage salespeople walking around. There was never any wait. We sat behind home plate and had a great view of the game. Great Spring Training park but no bottles of water are allowed. We've been to 5 other ballparks in the last 8 days and all of them allowed one bottle of unopened water. You can take an empty bottle or reusable water container and fill it up inside the stadium. Security was 100% New York about it (rude!) Every other ballpark has had THE nicest people working. They did have craft beer on tap (Voodoo Ranger) so that was awesome! read more

So, the stadium is fine but if you're sitting in right field first row, make sure that you DO NOT bring at sign there. If you drop it, it goes down a little hole between the fence and the seats and apparently nobody can get anything from down there. I just went to the game and the sign just feel on there and the look on my face when I found out that nobody can get the sign was crazy!!! I was so heated and upset that I couldn't get it back considering that I went to 15 different stadiums with it and it had a lot of signatures on it too!!! At least I got two balls to make up for it but still, if you sit there, make sure you hold on to your belongings because it's gone if it goes down there. read more

Spring training is the best time of year & you can't beat it at an amazing field and location. Sometimes traffic can be a little crazy in this area due to rush hours and its location, but it's an easy commute to any area! This is a great place to catch a Yankees spring training game! It has great facilities, amazing entertainment, and such a close knit feel in comparison to a "real" Yankees game. I don't feel as if there is a bad seat in the house! Any where you sit you're able to have an unrestricted view! It's the perfect setting and night games are even perfect under the lights! One low light of attending was buying a food voucher. I bought two $10 vouchers, but when going to use them the systems didn't quite recognize them. I was able to still use both, but it's basically a pay in advance instead of day of. They also don't have anything that is perfectly $10 so you have to pay for more anyways! So take my advice and just wait to pay the day of! read more

If you're coming here- I would suggest leaving early. We had a half hour drive and we ended up leaving about 45 mins before the game and it took us a good hour and 15 mins to two hours because of all the Traffic. Also parking was a bit of a disaster.... We parked like behind the Mercedes Benz extra lots in what appeared to be some guys yard- for like $25- which was pretty decent because I saw signs for $30, $35, $40, & $45- which is wild- considering that's what you pay at the actual Yankee Stadium.... Or the parking actually is not even THAT much! However- this is a REALLY Nice ball field..... It's actually really clean- like almost immaculate and no matter where you sit I think you have a AN amazing vantage point.... We had paid for tickets and they were pretty expensive for a spring training game- but it said "split team" which meant that Judge and other great players would be there. Since my son is a huge fan- I figured why not! I'm glad we went because he ended up having a blast. I will say they have some pretty strict and ridiculous rules. No tobacco or vapes allowed. So If you don't leave them in the car- they apparently will confiscate them. They also don't allow strollers- which is pretty terrible considering how many families and children that were in attendance. I also physically witnessed many family's struggling that had multiple kids that would've benefited from a stroller...I would say the majority of the attendees were families or retirees. But there was actually a good mix of people who attended !! The store here definitely has some of the best Yankee's gear I have ever come across. I really loved so many of the items- but they were really pricey! I wanted to get this NY Margaritaville tie front shirt and I thought it was $58 - but it was $85!!! Ouch- I put it back.... I would definitely return but I would be more prepared! read more

Tampa's Steinbrenner Field is the Spring Training home of the New York Yankees and soon to be the temporary regular season home of the Tampa Bay Rays (in 2025 and perhaps beyond) due to the unfortunate destruction of their concrete domed sarcophagus (Tropicana Field) during Hurricane Milton in October. I've been here for any number of Spring Training games in March and have been treated to world class amenities throughout this 11,000 seat ballpark. However, I can't imagine the flop sweat required to deal with a regular season day game in August not to mention the threat of daily thunderstorms. The Rays could have easily decamped to Orlando or Miami and drawn their usual assortment of single digit crowds but it's a good thing that they remain in close proximity to their fan base. I for one will be content to watch the proceedings from an air coditioned distance. Five stars for a remarkably reasonable solution from MLB. Flop sweat optional. read more

We were so excited that we were down in the Tampa area the same time the Yankees were playing the Rays. We had to park all the way down by the Buceeners parking lots, but it was such a beautiful day we didn't mind. We just didn't give ourselves enough time as we got to the game after the first pitch. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. I tried to figure out seating were we would not bask in the sun all day. We were on the first base line and it was perfect. I know it is the spring training park and is not the same experience, as we were at the game where they challenged Aaron Judge's "home run" as it went over the foul poll. Those kind of things are an issue for major league play, but overall such a fun experience to see a major league game during regular season at a spring training facility. I have attended many games here and once inside the stadium all is well and it is a top notch experience. Unfortunately before you get in, the customer service aspect of the experience is not good. Starting with ticket purchase at the walk up window on game day. The whole process is Byzantine. Don't bother asking for a paper ticket there aren't any. We waited online from 1215pm until 1255pm when we finally made it to the window. Only two of the three windows were functioning. We saw two large groups turned away after spending many minutes at the window apparently conducting a major banking transaction. But they did not get tickets. PS - we attended a Phillies game the day before and walked up to the game day window and had two paper tickets in 30 seconds. After purchase the Yank tix come to your phone in a text - easy enough. It took way too long to buy tix. Also, forget about buying tix for tomorrow's game at the window - can't do it. You must go on line in your Ticketmaster app to buy tix. Further one day we bought SRO bleacher seats, which are actually very good if you get a seat at the wall, that came with two free drinks. To get the drinks you had to log into your Ticketmaster account separately then look for the tix then select the vouchers. Seems like it would be a bit easier if they simply added that bar code to the tickets they text you. No. Anyway it took quite awhile to figure that out. Also you had to go to a specific vendor to claim your drinks. Interestingly when I finally figured all this out the server made the statement, "oh someone finally figured that out". Attended the Tamia & Anthony Hamilton concert here and not one of the better venues I have been to. Their parking was very inefficient. Entering the lot they had several attendants at the entrance but only two were taking payments. 37.63 for parking is a little steep as well. Once in the lot they had no attendants directing you where to park so it was a free for all. Since it's an outdoor venue you are at the mercy of the weather. On this date I fell victim to the rain. Caused the concert to be delayed. Once we're let in the interior was a minor league baseball stadium seating 11,000. They had four concessions stands open. Prices are what you would expect at a ballpark. Overpriced food and drink. Bathrooms were halfway clean but considering the rain and all the people stuck on the concourse I won't hold that against the. The rain caused the concert to be delayed for 3 hours. The opening acts canceled by the time they allowed everyone to be seated. Once we got in the DJ had Whitney Houston playing on repeat until the concert started. Once the concert actually began at 10:30 pm when it was supposed to start at 7 they canceled all of the opening acts. Tamia performed 4 songs in about 20 min. Then there was a 30 min wait for Anthony Hamilton to get set up. He only performed for about 30 min. Really felt shorted at this concert. Concessions closed down at 11:00 pm. read more

In our 15+ years of attending entertainment events (both sports and non) we have never come across a venue where so many employees are so friggin' rude. Like practically everyone. We came across maybe a dozen employees and all but 2 of them were rude. The guy on the right in the main ticket office (the one after you take the bridge) was the worst. The most sorry butt employee at any venue. I don't think hes ever been laid. Or not in 20 years If he is t-boned by a drunk driver, I would support the drunk driver. That bad. The only good employees are the older gentleman at Monument Park and the younger AA RJS parking woman. (The older AA woman is rude as f) Guest services was f no help. We will stop coming here. PArking is too expensive and not even paved, and tickets are too expensive and security takes forever, and hnestly the park isn't that nice. 100% certain that this ownership group doesn't respect their fans. Piece of garbage management and ownership. I wish it was possible to give none stars or negative stars. read more

Went here for an MLB game rays are playing here because hurricane blew the dome off and instead of building a new stadium for the same price they are repairing it when its in a bad location we can revisit this in the future and laugh at the organization but for right now This stadium is SMALL for an mlb stadium but it did not even feel that way. Easy in easy out. A fraction of the price of a seat at the stadium in NY. And one of the reading we live here...Orioles, Pirates, and our beloved Yankees all within a short distance. Decent food choices, bars all around...and given the shortened spring training season, all the regulars on the field. Only knock is that most (maybe all?) of the food is pre-prepared. The Yankees are a class organization and it shows in everything they do for their fans. I'm a lifelong Phillies fan and I think every other organization could learn from them. The field looks and feels like a mini version of Yankee Stadium - itself a great place for baseball. They have a monument park out front similar to Yankee Stadium where they honor their greats. Their team store is fantastic and everyone who works for them treats the fans with gratitude for being there. Soup to nuts just a great experience! Caught a spring training game in late feb (very early in the season) got to the field about 90 min before game time and some (non starting) players were taking batting practice on the little field. That was fun to watch! Inside the Yankees players were already off the field by the time fans could come in. We did a lap around the facility and noticed the concession stands were fully staffed, that's great to see and it kept lines short for the whole game. We took Ubers to and from the game. To get there was $12 and to leave was $15, not bad! However I booked mine immediately when the game was over, before we walked to the pick up area. I did notice that once we got to the pickup area (about 5 min walk) the prices were about $30-40 for the same ride, helloooo surge pricing. read more
