Don't order fake floral bouquets from her. I sent her a message asking for her to make the exact bouquet she made from her business. Megan asked me to send her a picture of the one I wanted. She asked the tone/color and I said the exact same color as the one In the picture. Now, the original was real flowers and I asked for fake flowers so I knew there would be small differences such as colors. What I didn't expect is for Megan to completely change the design of the arrangement. She never mentioned to me that she was changing it so I was very disappointed when I opened my package. For $329 dollars for a bouquet, bout and shipping... you would think it would be mentioned that you will be getting something different than what was agreed upon. I notified her that this isn't what I asked for and provided screenshots of our convo and what I received. She told me she structurally had to change it due to the fake flowers. Which I was never informed of during our initial conversation or her putting it together that the design would be changing. I told her she did false advertising.. she then said she disagreed and that she made a custom one for me. I never wanted a "custom" one nor was that discussed either. I wasn't reimbursed for her mistakes. If you are looking at the photos- the original design had pearls as "steams." Mine has them coming out of the flower top with less flowers cascading. Now if this was a $50 bouquet then I would have said whatever but it was $250 for the bouquet.
We rented the Fancy Free Nursery as an event space for my daughters bridal shower this past Saturday night. The owner was fantastic to deal with and location was perfect for the occasion. We had 20 guests and had an abundance of room - could have easily had double or more seated for dinner on the patio! Great ambiance, facilities and ample parking. We also ordered flower arrangements which were divine! Thank you again Robbie and team!
First time visiting a nursery of this type. Brought my girlfriend because she loves plants. We took our time going around the place a few times, appreciating the crazy variety of plants they have to offer. The woman tending to the store was very nice and helpful. She really seemed to know the ins and outs of plant care, for all these different plant types. She answered every question we threw at her like a pro. Prices seemed reasonable to me. Girlfriend and I bought two bunny ear cacti. Named them Bugs and Lola and they're now sitting on our window ledges. We'll definitely be back!
This has become my favorite plant nursery in the Seminole Heights/DT Tampa/Hyde Park area. They have grown by leaps and bounds since they first opened, and I think they have completely found their groove. First, they have a huge selection. Common plants, rare plants, interesting plants; I always find something cool to purchase. And not just one or two, but multiples of plants to choose from. Second, their prices are reasonable. I have been plant shopping recently, so I was able to compare apples to apples. Third, their plants live! As in, they don't die within a month of owning them, which sadly has not been the case from some of the other stores I've purchased plants at. Tip: They will pot any plant you purchase there if you buy a pot too, and they had an excellent selection of one of a kind pots I haven't seen anywhere else. Free parking, friendly Owner, and plenty of plants to soothe your soul - this is a must visit place.

All the plants looked amazing and I wanted to take home one of everything. Plants are good for you, scientifically proven to heal people and clean the air. They bring calm and life to any home. I love that they offer interior and exterior design services and the space can be used for small events. I purchased my first plant from here and you can see the great soil they use and the instructions to care for it were clear and simple. They even offered to bring in my pots and they will assist with transplanting. One day I'll have a living wall. This store definitely helps inspire. Definitely brining my family to the shop to pick their plants for their rooms and I can't wait to continue visiting this nursery.
Sooo Fancy Free Nursery was a hidden gem I found while taking a random scooter ride. I decided to come back this weekend searching for rock based plants which I find stylish. I love the decor of the shop, so fresh. The staff was very friendly and informative. She let me know unfortunately they didn't have any rock base plants in but provided some alternatives. The pricing really depends on what you are looking at. What we bought was reasonable minus the pots. The decorative pots are sold separately and are definitely over priced as I found some on Amazon for much cheaper. What was bought: Two succulent plants $4 each
Never go to a hardware store garden section AGAIN! Megan was super helpful I told her my budget what I was looking for and now I have my completed hanging plant corner. She even offered to pot them for me if I bought the pots with me! 100% will keep shopping local!

Such a beautiful plant shop!! They have such a diverse selection of healthy plants and flowers. The male employee (forgot his name!) but he was super knowledgeable on the plants and how to properly care for them. I was visiting from out of town and purchased several plants and he referred the best plants for my climate back home! Happy customer!
I never owned a plant in my life, not even a fake one, so I thought I'd try it out. As soon as you walk in here, the first thing you'll notice is the smell. I can't really describe it but it's great - I asked what it was and they said the owner makes it and is thinking about selling it. I'd be his first customer and buy bottles of it. The closest thing I can think of is the smell of Jungle Cruise of Disney. They have a good selection of indoor and outdoor plants. I ended up picking a "Monstera Deliciosa" because it looked cool and had an interesting name. The pink pot I bought with it was more expensive than the actual plant but the whole ensemble seemed to fit together so I went with it. The only thing I didn't like is that the plants come with no instructions on how much lighting or water they need. I tried to Google what do to but 5 different websites say 5 different things. I had to go back and ask and they told me what to do but a little card with how to care for the plant would be better. So far I haven't killed it - it looks like I luckily got the lowest maintenance plant in the store because it literally needs just a dash of sunlight and water once, maybe twice a week.
Walking in, the one staff member from today, he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the plants that were being told. We walked in and I felt like I was in a forest wonderland. I was so surprised and happy to be there and see what they had at the store. Though I didn't end up buying anything, I was happy to be there. The staff that was at work, he made sure to ask if we needed any help. I felt very welcomed. I will be back one day to buy some plants!
Plants, plants, more plants.... my husband is worried , because we might need to open a nursery since we have so many plants. hahaha so I decided to visit Fancy Free nursery ... Place is small but fits a lot of variety of plants. Price is generally similar to other places I visited locally. Customer service was very friendly, they offered a mask to anyone who didn't have one. Also they answered few questions I had about lighting situation. They are knowledgable to help you to decorate your home. I do wish the back porch was open when I visited, because I wanted more plants that take a lot of sun. I did purchase one that looks like seaweed.. so cool. it is doing very well and so easy to take care of.

So happy to find this new gem in Seminole heights! This is probably where all plant mothers rejoice and where everyone can enjoy an aesthetically pleasing shop :) They have a variety of tall plants, succulents, hanging plants, cacti, vases - you want it they have it. Also, if you're a novice like myself and need help sprucing (get it?) up your space - their workers are especially helpful. They provided me tips and advice on watering and shade for my newly found plant babies (their name is Todd and figgy)! Make sure to stop by and make the world a better place with more greenery! They have new plants everyday and of course shop local!! read more

Do NOT get your wedding flowers here. Not only were they completely unresponsive after I paid my deposit, but the bouquets they delivered were not what I ordered. The corsages fell apart before anyone walked down the aisle and the flowers were wilted (see pictures). Asked for white roses with cascading orchids and I truly don't even know what half these flowers were. A couple of friends had to literally go out and buy a new bouquet before the ceremony started because it was so bad. We worked with Taylor who I had to follow up with multiple times to get a response, and after finally getting in touch with what i assume is the owner, Robby, there were promises to make things right. Unfortunately, my coordinator and I have tried reaching out to rectify the situation but shocker, haven't gotten a response. read more

I drove to Tampa today with the intention of coming to this shop and IKEA. I was very excited because I love visiting little plant shops like this. It was a 2 hour drive. My review is a bit mixed because there were 2 employees working. The woman working was nice, the man was not. I like a lot of people got into house plants as a happy diversion from the past year. I do not know a lot but I am learning. Let me preface this by telling you, I was the only one in the store. I saw a couple of plants I did not recognize, so I asked what they were and if they were related to another plant I was familiar with. I literally asked 2 questions. The man could have just let the woman answer me but instead he snapped at me and acted as if I were an idiot for not knowing what they were. Who knows maybe it is dumb to not know what a calathea fasciata is but I had never seen one before and asked without knowing what it was, if it was an variation on an orbifolia. He got angry with me pointed at an orbifolia on the ground and said "that is an orbifolia". I said. "I know what an orbifolia is, I have one, I was related to it or a variation of one because it seemed similar but the color was different. He then snapped back at me that there are lots of calatheas. The truth is I probably would have spent a lot more money there if he was just nicer. But instead I bought a $14 plant I had already handed to the woman and left. I will not be going back there again. read more
What a wonderful place ! Beyond Zen! I decided to visit this gem this past Sunday since I've been seeing it all over my social media, and let me tell you the hype is real! I know it's just plants! But the most beautiful plants! Super friendly staff, and very knowledgeable. The lady who attended me ( wish I would have gotten her name ) was absolutely fabulous! She helped based on the expectations I had for a plant I wanted inside the house. I ended up purchasing a "Birds Nest Fern" ! It's a really nice plant ! Brought it right home and re potted it and it looks just perfect for my home and how I wanted it. Not to mention their selection of plants is amazing! We needed a place like this one! Just the feel and energy in here is great! A must visit ! & a little plus .... it's a great picture spot ! read more
Perfect place for buying patio and house plants. The prices are affordable and the plants are HEALTHY. The employees are subject matter experts when it comes to these plants. They are passionate and really care about the plants as though they are their own children. The space is simple, open and inviting. It is easy to get around the store and browse the wide variety of beautiful plants. For such a small place it doesn't feel complicated or difficult to shop like at some stores. I enjoyed everything about Fancy Free Nursery and highly recommend it. read more

Tropical Wedding decor I can't say enough about Robby and Megan! It was so easy to work with them. Their work is absolutely beautiful and creative!! I wish I could rate them higher than a 5!! Our wedding was taking place across the country from where we live, making it difficult to meet with them. We talked over the phone a couple of times and we shared with them some ideas. We knew from day one since we saw their work that they were gonna do an amazing job. The decoration for the venue exceeded completely our expectations. Everything looked amazing, fun and colorful as we wanted. The photo booth was our favorite part, including my bouquet and centerpieces We highly recommend Fancy Free Nursery. We booked Fancy Free for our wedding florals months back. I want to preface this by saying that we were very excited to work with them after being stood up by another florist. Taylor was responsive and shared in my excitement. I should have asked to come in and meet with her in person since my bouquet was not what I envisioned. What disappointed us was the center pieces. When discussing centerpieces, we sent pictures back and forth and discussed pricing. The centerpieces that actually came were way smaller than we had hoped for, and not worth the price we paid. We paid $120 per center pieces for 15 tables. Not only were were saddened by the small centerpieces that we spent $120 on, there were 3 missing. Our wedding coordinator had to put together a sad arrangement since 3 tables were empty. There was no follow up and when I reached out regarding our disappointment, she responded saying that she would get back to us. It has been over a week, and again there has been no response. We were just asking for our money back for the 3 missing centerpieces. If you do book Fancy Free for your wedding or event, make sure you are able to set up an in person meeting with them since it was not offered. read more
Tampa, Florida: 2019 A hot and stickiness was in the air, and not the good type of hot and sticky like on the cinnamon buns at La Segunda. I'd just been commissioned by top brass from The Company back in Philly to find the triumvirate of truth, goodness, and beauty located in one place ... in Tampa. "The fate of the known world or at least commerce as we know it rests on you and you alone. Do not mess it up. You have 24 hrs. The message from the old man almost self destructed in my hand before I could hurl it out my coup. Truth, goodness, and beauty in one place, is hard enough... but Tampa? There are more deaths crossing the streets in this burg from boozy seniors ( all you have to mention is boozy seniors and there goes the concept of beauty). Truth... who prints truth isn't that old fashioned. Well no use complaining about it - as my counterpart in Liverpool once said "when you've got a job to do, you've got to do it well. You've got to give it all you've ever had. Well Sir Paul could keep his songs, I had work. Stopping at a bakery, I wolfed down some goodness in the form of a pastry. The owner was truthful about the tastiness... but time would tell if their was any beauty in the way it went down and stayed. The next seven hours were a scramble from newspaper offices, museums, and cafes ... I searched for the trifecta all over Tampa(although there was a cute brunette receptionist at one of the office buildings). I was desperate... on the way back home I decided to stop and catch my breath, time was running out and as I pulled my jallopy into a nearby parking lot to consider my options. A mysterious assignment, full of impossibilities...I should have turned in my badge and weapon years ago... who was sending me these missions anyway? I looked up and saw a sign which read Fancy Free Nursery. I felt about as prickly as a cactus, maybe I should go buy one - it was only the end of the world. I entered and was greeted by a helpful gentleman, who guided me through a lush jungle. He knew what he was talking about, telling the truth and we were surrounded by beauty. He left me to scope out the nursery, observing the beauty of the local and foreign flora and fauna. From succulents to lush bouquets of beauty, a reminder of true beauty. Wandering through the jungle in of Fancy Free Nursery, I could overhear the owners talk with customers. Obviously by appearances, this was no front for hipsters looking for cacti. They take plants seriously. They cared for plants and customers ( and not in an obsessive way), they potted plants for customers no matter how annoying , hip, or odd they were. This went beyond average professionalism, they loved what they do. They didn't ask dumb questions, but just let me figure it out... staring at a beautiful mural in the back, it hit me. This was were it was truth, goodness, and beauty. The fate of the global economy was saved. I reported back to HQ via telegram. Then bought a beauty of a plant. After which, I turned in my badge and weapon. I was going to retire and start growing a garden. There you have it world peace due to the beauty of Fancy Free Nursery. Okay in all seriousness...if you need a plant or to add some variety to your house or garden, this is the place. You can't beat the variety or service. The owners are friendly and helpful. I just wanted to say thank you again. I called Fancy Free with a last minute request for a tropical bouquet for an elopement, and it was even better than I could have imagined. Not only was the floral designer very responsive via text, they were able to put it all together in a matter of hours. I would highly recommend them for any of your floral or plant needs! read more

One of the best plant nurseries I've been to. Staff was was welcoming and offered assistance while browsing. I love the wicker aesthetics placed around the store and the antique props here and there. All the plants are reasonably priced so I would recommend coming by this intriguing plant heaven. read more

Very beautiful nursery, with tons of inspiration for indoor and outdoor greenery. Originally came here to find inspiration for plants to put within my home and I was capturing images to share with my partner . Upon walking in the woman at the register face dropped when she saw our camera, and a very dry greeting came after. Other customers came in and they were greeted chippery. Once we were the only ones in the store she approached us about needing to ask permission to take photos. In part I totally hear her; people come in and touch stuff take pictures and don't buy anything. That's bad business. But she said it was about not presenting the business in a favorable light, how they would advertise their nursery. So fair warning, they're all over IG but don't assume you can have a photoshoot in there and you should ask first. read more

Cute and quirky; great for an Instagram photo. A really good selection of indoor and outdoor plants, but ridiculously overpriced! The selection and quality are great, but seriously, you can find the same plants at a much better price at Lowe's, Home Depot, and other plant nurseries. read more
