Love this nursery and the selection! They offer some unique plants I have trouble finding at other places, and some Florida natives! I spent a long time just walking around and checking everything out. They also have a lot of pots! The lady that rang me up helped me carry my dragonfruit cactus out to my car which was so nice because it did want to keep falling over in the cart. I will be back, love this place. read more

We attended a Bonsai Workshop this morning at this facility. We were given all required items to build, maintain, and take care of our own Bonsai at a low price. The staff were instrumental in assisting and instructing us through all our issues and concerns. There were numerous directions and pathways to complete the Bonsai work of art. We were given complete autonomy each step of the way. We met other participants and staff. we had a really memorable adventure today. read more

Literally the best nursery I have ever been to (and I have been to A LOT). I'm from Orlando visiting family from Tampa and we came to this nursery and it was amazing. This is a great local nursery. There's so many plants, flowers, succulents, pots, etc. to choose from. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The milkweed plants from this nursery probably had insecticide on them. The Monarch caterpillars didn't eat the leaves as much like plants from last year Addtionallly, two butterflies emerged from their chrysalis with deformed wings and couldn't fly. we've moved caterpillars to Milkweed from another nursery in hopes of ending this issue. A dozen chrysalis are soon to produce Monarchs and fingers crossed they are healthy. Flowering plants from here are beautiful and doing well. read more

They sell Milkweed with insecticide sprayed on them!!! *The Milkweed killed almost all of my caterpillars because I did not know that the Milkweed had insecticide on them, sadly. Those caterpillars that survived, by me taking swift action to try to save them, are not pupating completely and are dying! *Sadly, I had expected DUNCHEON'S nursery to know the very basics about buying and selling Milkweed! There should NEVER-EVER be insecticide on Milkweed!!! *I removed what caterpillars I could save, and placed the EIGHT MILKWEED PLANTS Outside. No bugs will go near them! *The nursery WILL NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE AND THERE IS NO VOICE MAIL! They close at the least bit of rain and say that there's lightning when there's NONE present! By far the best experience I've ever had at a Nursery! A very cute nursery with lots of selection, great prices, and awesome customer service. Cree took care of us from the get go and helped us decide on the best replacement tree for our yard. We are both novices at landscaping and wanted a Crepe Myrtil. She answered all my questions about what color to pick, how to plant it, prepare the soil, etc., and they even helped us load it on our truck! Their prices are more than fair compared to your local hardware stores. And the plants are very healthy. We feel so good about our purchase and are more than ready to plant and maintain it. read more

We spend a bit more than a few dollars here. All of the plants we bought did not survive. I have gone back many times to ask what can I do to make sure this does not happened. Same answer "you water too much." Or perhaps you need to water more. Here is an example: last flower I bought a night jasmine. It's not fragrant. I try to talk to someone there about it. Answer; well it's only in the early morning that you can smell the fragrance. Or must be watering too much. read more

Our Homeowners association spent thousands of dollars with them (almost $5000 in the past few years) and they made a giant fuss over $5. Yes, that's FIVE DOLLARS!!!!!! They insisted the $5 be paid and as a result and won't extend credit because of it. I say LOL and good riddance!! Keep your $5 Duncheons, the lost sales in the future will way exceed that! Plus the sad little flowers from Duncheons were definitely not worth the money paid. Better off at Walmart for a much lower price and healthier looking flowers. read more

I was looking for large decorative pots by our staff was very knowledgeable about the finishes and which would be best for our needs. They put plastic under each pot before they loaded them making it easy to get in and out as well as keeping my car clean. Honestly, I have been looking for a job at nursery's in the Tampa Bay Area the past week. I've been to every nursery from St. Petersburg to Hudson putting in applications. Gardening is my main hobby and I always would check out the inventory before asking if the place is hiring. Duncheon's seriously has the best prices I've ever seen. I walked in looking for a job and I left buying 3 plants! Not only are their prices phenomenal, but the size of pots are MUCH larger than typical nursery's.
