We went to the Rowdies game last night and even though our home team lost we had an amazing fireworks show tonight. Great family fun and great way to root for the home team!

So much fun! Stadium is so clean and the energy is fantastic. Looking forward to the next game. #tampabayrowdies #yelpelite

Another great event put on my yelp. This was another event that allowed us to try something that we wouldn't necessarily have done, so kudos! Picking up tickets and getting into the stadium was a breeze. Lots of gates and plenty of security and ticket checkers that the process was smooth. The game itself was a blast. I loved the drum beating and dude who hyped the crowd. I wish they would have a screen that displays the different chants because I didn't know them and couldn't really hear them well enough to participate. In fact, I would imagine that the only people who could hear are the ones in the lowest seating behind the goal which only allows fan engagement to go so far. The concession stands were plentiful, the options limited, but with all the usuals (pretzels, hot dogs, popcorn, and lots of beer!). Service was quick and pleasant. The seats were good, I thought because we were behind the goal I thought we wouldn't be able to see the length of the field well, but to my surprise the view was great. Overall, we had a good time but in all honesty, the hype and energy was a lot less than any other sporting event I've been to in the Tampa Bay region. Granted I've never been to a soccer match so maybe that's why but just my two cents.

    Special Rowdies Cocktail. Very good!

We had a blast at the Rowdies game! This was our first time visiting the Al Lang Stadium. We had amazing seats. The stadium seems to be old but Kelly up very nicely. They had plenty of seating and concession areas inside and outside. After the game they let all the guest explore the field and watch fireworks.

What a great venue! The view of the water is beautiful. The Rowdies were easy to see especially with the jumbo tron. The staff kept everything working smoothly from concessions to the bathrooms to picking trash up during and after the game. Parking garage was close by and the stadium was in walking distance. If you're sitting in a bleacher, bring one of those bleacher seats for comfort. Also grab some napkins in case of any spills or to wipe away bird droppings. I'd definitely go again to Al Lang stadium.

    Beautiful stadium

Efficient process going thru the gates. Lots of gates opened with multiple staff. The bathroom line was long but expected. Would have appreciated a fan inside the bathroom while waiting in line. It was hot. Typical arena snacks available for purchase. Seating was great & the incredible view of the water and the colder breeze were def a plus.

My first time to attend a soccer game and I loved it! The stadium is so nice and everyone working there was pleasant. Be aware that the vendors do not take cash, only credit cards. The Stadium was full of life and the crowd was very much into the game. Great experience and they won, which made it even better.

We absolutely love coming to Rowdies games. The atmosphere is always electric, and the location of the stadium is right in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. We are casual soccer fans, but will definitely keep coming to more games.

First time here! Such a fun and nice stadium! Loved the energy from the fans, players, and staff! Would definitely come back for another game! Go Rowdies!

I attended my first Rowdies game and it was a blast. Built in 1947 (and used primarily over the years for baseball) the stadium has been renovated several times, including in 2015 when it was converted to accommodate a soccer stadium. Although Al Lang is nearly 75 years old, the stadium is in great condition. It seats approximately 7,500 spectators via aluminum bleachers with short backs in the upper levers and regular full back stadium seats nearer to the field. The are also a number of "luxury suites" on one side of the stadium. The field is in beautiful condition and the stadium is conducive to a festive atmosphere. There is a "rowdies" section near the field at one end, where fans stand the entire game doing chants and singing, bringing an authentic "futebol" feel to the experience. I was surprised that the stadium was well less than half full in attendance as this really is a very fun time and the team is very talented.

Thanks to Yelp we got some tickets to see the Tampa Bay Rowdies win a match 3-2. The stadium is clean, large and nice. I wasn't able to get a picture with Pelican Pete the mascot, the kids were jumping him to take pictures and he was rushing to where he had to go lol.

Rowdies games are the best sporting experience in the Bay area, hands down! A lot of it has to do with the team on the fields obviously, but Al Lang stadium is definitely a major factor. It's so rich with history! They have done a great job of maintaining it from a fan standpoint it's such a fun environment and if you happen to get lucky enough to sit in the midfield seats you can catch the game while boats sail by and planes are landing along the water. It's just a magical spot in the middle of everything... nothing better.

A nice experience for a soccer game, on the water. They had a whole hype up section which brought fun energy to the game. You could also walk down to the ground to go to the store/bars which made for some cool views! I did have a hard time with the security getting in, I brought in an empty water bottle and was told I wasn't allowed to bring it in which was a bummer since it was Florida in June. They were nice enough about it though.

Ask the Community - Al Lang Stadium

Is it worth buying SRO tickets to a concert at this venue? The amphitheater has a slight hill so it's easy for me (5'1") to still see. Don't want to waste money if I can't enjoy.

You will be on a soccer field (previously baseball) so the ground is completely flat.

I didn't expect to have so much fun in a ball pit... nor did I expect it to be so physically challenging! The first time I fell, I needed help to get back up, and just walking through the balls was hard! The *shore* with lounge chairs & umbrellas was a nice way to catch my breath. Due to my kids' work & college schedules, Sunday was really the best day for us to go together. I ordered our free tickets online several weeks before the multi-week event began, and 5pm 8/21 was the only slot still available for a group of 6... That's how popular this event was, sight unseen! Once I realized The Beach Tampa would be closing at 6pm on Sundays, I was concerned our time would be limited. However, worrying was not necessary. At the entrance outside, we queued up to enter precisely at our ticketed time. Then inside, we waited again as staff monitored the number of people inside the actual *beach* area for safety and enjoyment, allowing people to enter as others left. The line moved quickly at this point, but we still weren't able to go in until after 5:30. Luckily, staff had already announced to everyone that even the very last person to enter would get a minimum of 45 minutes to enjoy The Beach. I really hope The Beach returns to Tampa!

Parking is interesting as the stadium is in the middle of a neighborhood. So plan accordingly before you go. There is a mix of paid parking and street parking around the area but with the size of the stadium that parking can get filled rather quickly. Note e if you stand right outside of the stadium, there's a likelihood that you could catch a foul ball right on the street. I witnessed that firsthand as I was leaving the stadium and one of the vendors straight up caught a a fly ball coming over the stadium wall with his bare hands. It was quite a sight to see.
