They go above and beyond to make sure my mom is safe and always well cared for . My mom is 93 with dementia and other medical ailments. Before I found Countrywide , I had been with other agencies. The care was terrible ! Aides wouldn't show ,and I would get no call to tell me that no one was coming ,and they could have cared less about trying to find someone else . Left my mom by herself , when she needs someone at all times . This happened at more than one agency . I never have to worry about that anymore thanks to countrywide . it is one of the biggest mistakes ever done by this family to allow two women who both are sisters…read moreto enter this house and care over my mother. within weeks these woman from Dominican Republic who live in allentown and work in bethlehem pa have found ways to bypass the cell phone clock in hours . causing thousands of dollars in waste money for hours they did not work . the sad part of all this is my step father has allowed them to do this , so all three of them are working together in this huge fraud scam. on march 14 to march 20 the main caregiver traveled to her country for 2 weeks vacation, while somehow someway still being put on paper as she was working with my mother when she was not inside the united states.. these types of scams i have witnessed for 5 years and all have been women from Dominican Republic . country wide home care as well as pa health and wellness i believe know about this fraud. hundreds of these women from such country have infested the home care system because it is an easy money gig, when the patients spouse along with the caregivers are working together to pull such massive fraud scam. it is almost impossible to stop this problem because when questioned all three will have matching stories. there has to be a better tracking system for these caregivers aside from their cell phone or someone signing a paper saying they came in to work when they did not . these caregivers do not speak english nor can they lift the patient. i wish i can provide more intel as i have tons but i live in the house where i have witness these violations going on 6 years now. i cannot report abuse because i have not seen it, but as for fraud it is massive , caregivers befriend the male spouse in such a provocative manner , and thats when the fraud begins. the scam goes like this , caregivers use 2 cells phones one to clock in and their main phone , the clock in phone they leave in the patients home. then the patients spouse most of the time a male clocks them in on the phone, every week to two weeks the caregivers pays the spouse $200 to $400 . this is a very big problem . i have also noticed that the caregivers managers / supervisor knows of the fraud but does everything in their power to cover up for the caregivers. this fraud is all over the place here , across the street from me there are 2 males on wheelchairs who also clock their caregivers in to work , then the caregiver pays them $200 every week, so just within the block i live at i see this happening three times three different homes . this is costing tax payers Millions in fraud waste.

As I have said before, my dad let his girlfriend pick the location of our doomed business. Our top opportunity quickly withered in the presence of Pine Barrens trash. And my mom withered, too. Being divorced and alone takes a toll on a soul. However, my mom had a home health aide who helped her for nine years. That is exceptional. Her aide did not steal, which is a common complaint among seniors. My mom's aide did light housekeeping, ran errands, and gave my mom emotional support. I did take off one half of a star for some communication difficulties between the aide and others. Sometimes it is hard to get past language barriers. It is an excellent chance for a person to learn a new language, but critical info can also be lost if there is a misunderstanding. The other half is because my mom often told her aide that she was not needed, and to just not come. This leeway could get out of control, as the aide began to feel comfortable in asking if she could have certain days off. I read a heartbreaking text in which my mom asked for help. There was no response. I presume that her aide came as quickly as she could. I still wonder about outcomes based on criteria of presence or non-presence. My mom's aide adored my mom. My mom was not just a number. She was a person, as her aide is as well. We have to remember that.
