Being a senior who over the years had been disheartened with every place I went to for PT, Strive…read morewas the very first place where I felt I was thoroughly examined for my capabilities at that time, listened to, and given what I needed both physically and mentally. I had worked out since I was a teen to manage chronic pain, fibromyalgia, muscle spasms and nerve damage. I was told after a long and extensive open abdominal surgery, that I should never exercise again for the rest of my life, except for walking or risk an abdominal hernia. Thankfully my PCP gave me a script for PT and I made an appointment with Strive after explaining my history and questioning them if they could help design a safe workout for me. I am so grateful to Strive and especially Ryan Ackerman who also took the time to reach out to my surgeon's office. Ryan addressed every question and concern I had and he gave me the workout I needed to bring back my energy, improve my sleep and most of all the exercises to bring down my pain levels and manage it again without the need to increase pain medications which has always been a fear of mine that that could happen. My physical therapist that came to my house, Keesha Vassel- Ford, what's phenomenal! It was very frustrating not being able to do everyday tasks and she helped me get through it. She gave me confidence that I did not know I had. She treated me with the utmost respect and at the same time it was like she was a friend that I've known for years. I've always been skeptical about that. However, my back pain was not going away and it wasn't getting better.. so what did I have to lose... I reluctantly decided to give it a shot. I searched for one that was the closest to me...And BPT popped up at the top of the list. I called and made an appointment with a friendly woman named Sue. She helped me out with everything that I needed. The day of my appointment came and I had no idea what to expect. But when I arrived I was shocked at what I saw. I witnessed a lot of laughter, Fun, music playing, learning And not to mention people were actually working out and healing. Then I happened to notice Sue was on the floor laughing and stretching with others. It was a room full of strangers who overtime got to know one another and Bond together as a family. When it was my turn I enjoyed it so much that I would ask for extra work to do just so that I could stay longer !! How crazy is that? Once I met Beth, I knew that God sent me here for a reason. Beth does not see patients as a number, she sees them as people in pain. Most people in her position treat the symptoms only. She tries to help you understand how the body works so you can alleviate the problem that's actually causing the symptoms. These two ladies treat you like family and not a patient. They truly care about your health and well-being and all the while make sure you have fun and bond with others while healing. The only thing I did not like about this experience... Was that it had to end ...because she healed me in only eight weeks. However, no amount of words could ever express my gratitude for the tagteam of Beth and Sue. If I were to talk to you through this site forever and ever I could not give them enough praise. If I were somehow able to get the worlds best poets from the past, present and future and ask them to describe these two ladies, their words would not be good enough. BPT should stand for Best Physical Therapy! If you are in need of a physical therapist, this is where you need to go!!! I'm so glad that they made a believer out of me and they will definitely make one out of you.
