Brightview is absolutely one of the best facilities in the area on all levels. I have been throughout this facility and it is spotless! Clearly there is lots of attention given to cleaning because every public space, the public restrooms, and residents rooms emanate clean!! As you check in you will be greeted with a warm smile! Every single staff member who has been at the front desk has been very pleasant and helpful. I love that the activities area is right by the entrance so that visitors can experience bingo, song time, trivia games, or interaction with school groups with the residents! Such a pleasant welcoming area. Residents' apartments have a feeling of "home" and reflect each individual, which is what you want. I have watched the health care team provide care for more fragile individuals. It's clear that the staff members want only the best for their residents. They have responded to concerns and answered questions. If I had to go to a facility I would choose a location like this one

If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. First, from the start it looked as if the company…read morewas legit. Nurse Linda came out and did a plan of care and assessment. After we accepted the plan of care Shuwanda in scheduling made sure we had a home care health aid on the days we requested. Now the nightmare.... We were assigned to Tanya George, upon arrival the first impression was acceptable to us. She came in and did what was asked and informed me that she would be taking the initiative to do more. She got my cousin cleaned up and dressed which was great. We paid for 2 hours of service so trying to find more work We suggested that she change the linen and re make the bed. This was all completed HOWEVER, my cousin had a lot of clutter on her bed along with this clutter was a TD Bank envelop with $200 in it that mysteriously came up missing. I must emphasize that no one physically seen Mrs George take any money from the residence. What is for 100% certainty the envelop was in fact on the bed prior to Mrs Tanya George changing the linen. I personally looked in every place imaginable trying to find the envelop, to no avail. After and only after I looked and couldn't find the money I called and informed Shuwanda who works in the office in Woodbury. I let her know all the details of our experience with emphasis on us not seeing any crime committed. After this phone call I get a phone call from Shuwanda stating that the aid Tanya George will no longer be able to care for my family's needs due to traffic issues getting to the house. Shuwanda informed me there will be another aid coming in her place. Nightmare #2 When we did the plan of care with Nurse Linda who apparently is in charge of all the aids, she never mentioned 1 time about us being responsible to have latex gloves available for the aids. NEVER. Fast forward to today June 19th, an aid arrives with NO gloves. (I digress, it's like paying someone to come and mow your lawn and they show up with no lawn mower ) My cousin who was home at the time told her he was going to the store to purchase the gloves, as soon as he leaves the aid leaves not telling my sickly family member any thing. Soon as I find out I call and speak with Shuwanda and she tells me we are responsible for the gloves and the aid told her it was too cluttered in the room for her to work which is a LIE. I would STRONGLY encourage you to avoid this company like the plague. The lack of professionalism is egregious. I would not trust these people with a dog, let alone a human being in need of care. Totally disgusted!

This left us high and dry, and without anywhere to order supplies, forcing us to pay exuberant costs to continue to care for his wound. These people have no heart. The nurses weren't great, and often time did not show without calling and one nurse aggravated the wound causing bleeder on a few occasions. Please call another agency.
