I requested a quote from several different companies, and Jayhawk exteriors was by far the most professional and efficient so I decided to go with them. Nick was our estimator and he went over all of the different colors of gutters and downspout installation options and I decided to replace my white and cream colored ones with bronze ones, and it turned out to be a great decision because they ended up looking great! They answered all of my questions and were all very kind and thorough with everything. Quickly after the quote was made, we got the work done and they were very quick and efficient, didn't bother my neighbors, did a lot of work out of their truck, cleaned up after themselves, and hauled away the old gutters and downspouts. We reached to the original company that completed our roof, and they refused to come out and resolve the issue(s). I called a few different companies to get estimates on the repair for the roof and SlopePro Roofing was one of them. Derrick (Project Manager), who came out and inspected our roof informed us that we could get a repair, but we will have to redo our whole roof in -5 years. The other companies tried to scam us and stated we needed our roof redone ASAP. Derrick was honest, understanding, and upfront. The service from the initiate visit to the completion of the job was 100% customer satisfaction. Derrick took the time to explain everything to me and my parents. He did not try to upsell or pressure my parents into getting a new roof, but rather the facts (repairs vs replacement). Sent over the estimates (repair vs replacement) and had 3 levels of options to choose from. We ended up replacing our whole roof because it made more sense and the prices are very affordable. We ran into a slight hiccup on the day of, but Derrick stayed in communication at all times and answered each and every question we had. The issue was resolved within minutes, and my father is extremely pleased with our new roof. Overall, we had an excellent experience with SlopePro Roof. I put the word out on YELP and got 3 referrals, thank you Mike A for this one. Jon's estimate wasn't the cheapest, he was in the middle but his contract included more goodies that the others. It was also extremely detailed. He is also the sole owner of his roofing company which was founded in 2005. We notified Jon on a Friday and the job was meticulously completed the following Thursday. I knew the job had started when I thought Santas reindeer were on my roof at 6:45 am. That's right, they were actually there at 6:15 covering my yard with tarps and moving furniture off my deck. His crew of 5 tackled my roof with extreme professionalism. They walked around up there like it was flat and it's quite the opposite. On the first day they worked until the sun set and they lost daylight. They were back the next morning and waited in their trucks for the sun to rise a bit. An hour later they were done. Clean up is always a concern when dealing with a project like this. All my old shingles and all the nails that were doing their best to hold onto those shingles were removed. I have walked my property and haven't found a single nail. They have large magnets on rollers that they even used in my shrubs. I just can not say enough about this roofing company. I have a beautiful new roof at a very fair price. I am a happy camper.

There were some challenges with our project, one resulting in a major leak into the house during the roof install, but the team worked to clean it up and we were understanding that some situations are out of one's control. They completed the project and the roof/deck appeared satisfactorily installed to me (not a roofer). However, we have had subsequent rotting of the wood below our roof, as well as increasingly bad leaks from the roof into the home. There has been much back and forth between myself and the owner Jeremy Carroll, and I have maintained a professional approach, primarily desiring to get the issue appropriately addressed. Jeremy unfortunately appears to be most concerned with not acknowledging any fault on the part of his company. He has blamed our walls, other roofs on the home, and even stated that we dictated how the original install be done (a false statement and to me a tacit admission of his guilt). We have had multiple second opinions from other contractors and roofers who stated that the flashing around the perimeter was "substandard" and almost certainly the cause of the water intrusion. Jeremy refused to entertain this as a consideration. The company advertises a 10 year workmanship warranty, which gives the clients some peace of mind when they make a large investment (our roof was over 40k), but we have found this warranty to be essentially worthless. Jeremy and his team have stopped communicating with us despite our attempts to reach out and we have been told he will call us back to no avail. We are left with a roof that needs major repairs, possible complete replacement, and have holes in our ceiling and current leaks. Thankfully other reputable companies have agreed to help us with the situation. Of course, at a significant cost to us. Based on my experience I cannot recommend this company. Perhaps they can do a good job on a cookie-cutter roof on a new build in Chesapeake, but if you have an old home or a complex project I would look elsewhere. As he was speaking, he'd mention a term that professionals in his industry are aware of such as baffle, then explain what it is in plain terms to ensure we understood. He didn't try to upsell us. There's a breakdown somewhere between the folks who schedule the work, the folks who bill, and the folks who come out to complete it. This experience turned into an absolute nightmare. They carelessly nailed through my air…read moreconditioning line REPEATEDLY (see photo). This mistake caused major damage and left me without AC -- not only an inconvenience but a massive, unexpected expense to repair. When the problem was diagnosed, I contacted Atlantic Craftsman to see if they would help cover a portion of the cost. I would not only need to repair the line they destroyed, but I would also need to have part of my roof taken off to access the pipe. They emailed me back saying that I was on my own and that they wouldn't cover ANY of the repairs. What's worse, the company showed little accountability. They didn't even acknowledge that they made a mistake or say sorry for the problems they caused me. I reached out again asking if they could at least provide me with some extra shingles since I would need to remove a portion of them to repair the pipe. They never responded to my emails or phone calls. The team on site also destroyed my plants and left nails everywhere (resulting in a popped car tire). If you're considering hiring them, beware. Their negligence ended up punishing me more than them.
