For…read moreSunday brunch we ended up going to Greenhouse Cafe and came across this huge shop and initially thought it was a thrift shop, but I remember I'd heard about Charity Shop through a FB event ad. Anyway, I love shops like this where you can "treasure hunt" so had to check it out. "Charity Shop Wholesale is a division of Charity Shop LLC. We help resellers, business owners, brokers, and more source quality return and overstock product to help their business's grow. We are also open to the general public FREE of charge providing great deals, 40% to 80% off the original retail price from companies like Target, Home Depot, Amazon, Lowe's, Walmart, Ashley Furniture and more!" We went to check it out briefly and were so glad we did. We did a brief look but saw nice discounted furniture that we're going to likely go back for! We bought cat litter that's normally $15 on chewy for $10. And a box of Japanese face masks that sell for $15 on Amazon for $9. Then hubby got hangry and had to leave. Charity shop is located near Big Lots and Gold's Gym and yay, on my way home from work / only 8min from home and open till 7pm on weekdays so I expect I'll be going there often now!!! Go check it out!

Upon entry you are delightfully greeted by a tip of a hat and a milday, which is precisely my pace. I galavanted into the corridors merely endeavoring for two items. A plethora of toilet paper, 7 years worth to be precise, and a bakers dozen of Costco's finest hot dogs. Prices are exceptional, and logistics were effortless. I stuffed my Kirkland cargo utility trousers with a revolvers chamber worth of flaccid meat conduits, my thighs began to cook the dogs from the radiant heat due to intense frolicking throughout the aisles. I've always ran hot, like an aged thunderbird. I just had to sample the various succulent provenders that act as end caps to the enabling aisles of over consumption, Tis the American way and I for one, am a true patriot. People call me Americas sweetheart. At any rate, I now can wipe relentlessly without worry of depleting my supply of rumpus papyrus. And I've got my dogs with me for the next 30 minutes. Life is good. Costco is great. Best Regards, JC

Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Roseville warehouse fell far short of Costco's reputation. I purchased a steak that was clearly spoiled upon opening. When I sought a refund, the membership desk staff insisted I should have stored the foul-smelling, rotten meat in my freezer and transported it back in my personal vehicle to prove the claim. When I questioned the hygiene and health risks of this request, the staff became dismissive and confrontational. While I eventually secured a refund, the process was unnecessarily difficult and like pulling teeth for a loyal customer over a $40 item. Forcing members to handle biohazardous waste to satisfy a return policy is a significant health protocol oversight. I hope management addresses the lack of professional judgment at this location.

Tayler was my bridal stylist at my first appointment and she is just an amazing and sweet person overall. I eventually went to try on 2 other bridal shops and tried on at least 20 dresses at this point but I could not stop thinking about the dress that I fell in love with. I kept in contact with Tayler and informed her I would like to come back to potentially get my dream dress! Eventually, I made my way back to Bride to Be Couture and Tayler assisted me again. I tried on the dress again and knew this was my dress I wanted to get married in. The overall service at this shop is above other bridal shops I visited to be honest. The atmosphere is beautiful and everybody is very friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to come back to pick up my dress! Thank you again Bride to Be couture and Tayler!

I've been coming to antique trove for years with my mom and other friends, and I'm very happy every…read moretime I visit. It usually takes us about 3 hours to walk through the entire store. The staff has always been friendly and ready to help us with any questions we have, and they even have shopping carts at the front of the store! For those who have never been to an antique store before, it's set up into dozens of little square 3-walled rooms. Each one of those sections is usually ran by a vendor who is setting up their own stuff on consignment, and in charge of their own pricing. Because of that, prices are very volatile here. There was a vendor who was selling antiques for only a few dollars because he had so much and just wanted it all gone, while others are selling things for way more than they're worth (I'm looking at you vinyl vendors). I used to appraise records and one common mistake people make is they look up the record and assume the expensive one they see online is the exact same one they have. Only issue is that the value is determined by the pressing and they're looking at a rare one, not the one they have. There was a Star Wars record that goes for $200 online if it was original pressing. In Antique Trove is was being sold for $200, but it wasn't the original pressing and was warped. Nobody is paying for that. So prices can be dirt cheap or insanely overpriced depending on who the vendor is. What I can say about the inventory though is that all these vendors have such different products. Some are only selling vinyl, others had antique guns, furniture, masks, lamps, clothes, etc. It's easy to find something you'll enjoy. It does take a while to be rung up, because they have to manually input everything and record which vendor the items you bought are from, but the staff is friendly while doing it. Just don't expect them ring you up as fast as other retailers. My biggest gripe with antique trove is the back of it. Outside is a big backyard full of products that just feel...neglected. We've found some cool stuff that is covered in webs that are months old. How do I know they're months old? It's because we come here every few months and the same webs are out there. It's always the same exact products out there with the exception of a couple selling or a few more being added, but 99% of the inventory stays the same outside. It feels like a graveyard where those products go to die. I always feel sad walking around out there. On the bright side though, there is a vending machine right next to the door and I always grab myself a snack because I'm starving with how many hours we spend inside. The 3 giants of antique and thrift stores nearby would be Midway Antiques, Antique Trove, and Stardust Vintage Emporium. With Midway having closed a couple years ago, Antique Trove and Stardust are the two I visit the most. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Each space is curated by different sellers and has its own vibe and selection of items. Depending on what you're looking for you'll be able to browse and search through the spaces for hidden treasures. The prices range and you'll be able to find some similar pieces from different sellers at different prices. There's even an outdoor area that has signs, decorations and more. I ended up finding some beanie babies that I used to have as a kid for a good price and went home with three of them. While we were browsing the staff kept offering us baskets to carry the items we found, although some of the spaces were very close quarters and I decided it was easier to carry items instead of using the basket. You'll want to be careful not to knock anything down and to take a good look in each area so you don't miss anything.

After explaining that I was originally quoted the agreed upon price, Reili (staff member) agreed to honor the original price I was told. Once we got started with the heat mold process, Reili continued to be attentive and gave me time-reminders. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this place and would HIGHLY recommend it for anyone looking to get their snow gear!

It seems they are having a bad life because they are literally rude every single time. The lady today, her name was Kim, clearly did not like her job. She was already irritated before I even had a chance to say "Hello, How are you?" She was very snippy. Her and another associate were talking badly about the previous customer who just left. Not a good look at all. I asked her to please bag everything because it's easier for me to carry. She bagged a third of my items and left out the flowers, OJ, detergent and other items. She then stares at me and I say 'Please bag everything. I don't mind paying for the extra bags. She lets out a sigh, bags a few more times and leaves out the flowers, detergent and OJ. She then asks clearly annoyed "Another bag?" I said "Yes, everything please." She was so mean and unpleasant. I definitely felt like it was a bother to be in her line. Once I get home, I noticed how poorly everything was bagged. She put my Chocolate Cake on its side so it was all mashed up against the container. It's such an awful experience. There are so many other options. This store doesn't even carry half the things I want anyway. Edit to add: The young man working in produce was extremely kind and helpful. Didn't catch his name. He was helping multiple customers.
