The installer did a good job overall--he arrived on time and installed the new valve correctly. There were no issues with the technical work itself. The main disappointment was with billing and follow-up. They charge from the moment they leave their facility, not from arrival on site, which is important to note given their rates are not inexpensive. I ended up spending $300 for a job that I could have done myself in about 10 minutes. The installer was initially scheduled to return after the building turned the water back on to verify that the valve was functioning properly. However, after we inquired about travel time, the owner reacted negatively, was rude and unprofessional, and ultimately decided not to return. Would I use their service again? Worst Ever. They charged my Mom (in her 90's) $150 to come out and look at a leak issue. They didn't mention that they were going to charge $150 for the estimate when she called to make the appointment. They surprised her with that large bill after they arrived and had a look. They were on-site for about 20 minutes. This is very slimy and unethical -- not to mention elder abuse. Steer clear of this company. read more

Don't use Bay Plumbing. We used them for years and this past week called them to fix a blocked toilet. Two rather elderly plumbers arrived, spent a total of about 15-20 minutes working on it and claimed it was fixed. Charged $219 (with travel time and parking) and left and 10 minutes later it was blocked again. A handyman I know came and fixed it immediately after that and accepted $50 for his work and it is perfect. We called Bay Plumbing to ask for a refund and they said they would refund $44. I now have to dispute the credit card charge. read more

I called for "emergency" repair, the price was OUTRAGEOUS!! Will NEVER call them again...what they fixed was good, only took a half hour, but charged me, "through the teeth"...Absolute ROBBERY...don't call them unless they are the last plumber on the face of the earth. The employees are awful. They came to to do work and literally got into a yelling argument with the staff at my building because they wouldn't follow direction about where to park. The Bay Plumbing employee literally was threatening to fight the guy trying to do his job. They're complete animals. The saga continues. After thousands of dollars and 2 years and 3 toilets we finally had to call another plumbing company (Coral Gables Plumbing) because the toilet STILL continued to get stuck. LO AND BEHOLD the most amazing thing was discovered . An old metal pipe cutting tool had been lodged in the pipes for many years! MAJOR RIP OFF IN TRAVEL CHARGES!! I have used Bay Plumbing for several years and have always had great service from the plumbers they send. Yesterday I called them to snake my kitchen drain, they sent a plumber out, first call, who successfully cleared the drain and handed me a bill for just under $400. My issue is that $120 of that charge was for 'travel charges'. It cost me $120 before the plumber even knocked on my door. Bay Plumbing is 6 miles away, I paid $20 per mile for a plumber to drive to my home. After asking neighbors for recommendations, I decided to call Bay Plumbing to take a look at my tankless water heater. They explained pricing and set up a time to visit between 12 and 2. They called first. I missed the call and returned it within 5 minutes. They explained I would be the next stop. A short time later, the receptionist/dispatcher told me they weren't sure what they could do for me and that I should just buy a new water heater. I didn't even speak to a plumber to discuss the issue. They gave me the impression that it was the end of their day and just didn't want to bother. I ended up having the water heater repaired. I just spoke to Juan, who is the emergency night person at bay, with a number of questions about replacing the sink. I got to say he was extremely helpful in areas that go way beyond normal plumbing services, and he was very generous with his time. I've called around to a lot of different companies. And most people don't have that time a day for anybody unless they're looking to book them at the moment. So it makes me feel pretty good about this company, that there is someone that's willing to talk about where to buy the lowest cost bathroom sink, whenI even told him there's a good chance I might just mount it myself.
