Fantastic work all around. We're in the midst of a major house renovation, and Manny and Leo were by far the most professional, pleasant, and talented tradespeople we've worked with, bar none. We had two different types of slab (quartz and quartzite) for our kitchen countertops, and both came out looking absolutely perfect. Very good rates as well. We'd hire them again for any other countertops in an instant. I can't underscore how amazing the quality of work is. These guys are the best!

If you are looking for a fabricator to work with or are looking for remnant pieces to complete your project LOOK NO FURTHER. Leo is amazing and will take excellent care of you from start to finish. He was recommended by my parents who worked with him after their quartz was ordered through All Natural Stone, and he did an amazing job for them. When I contacted him I informed him I was looking for a remnant piece for a bathroom remodel we were doing everything else ourselves for and he immediately offered an appointment to take a look at his inventory. He considered every aspect of our install from double checking our 2x4" frame out to where the little iron deposits in the stone can be placed to get nixed with faucet cutouts and talked us through it all. We were blown away by his passion for his work and his attention to detail. He was very responsive the whole way through and answered all our questions. His team did a phenomenal job installing the mitered edge top+apron for our floating vanity. Talk about a technical cut and install! Thank you Leo and team! Looking forward to working with you again soon.

These guys were no less than amazing, I feel so lucky to have found them on Yelp. The communication was clear, they got back to me quickly, unlike a half dozen others who either didn't get back to me or quoted an outrageous price. You can tell they really care about the quality of their work and are true professionals. They did everything from recommend a place to get stone ( I found what I wanted MUCH cheaper there), to suggesting design tweaks and overall doing a fantastic job. We needed it done quickly and they were very accommodating without sacrificing an ounce of quality. You don't come across this level of craftsmanship and professionalism every day, in fact it's so rare, it's super refreshing to work with someone who is really that good. I cannot recommend them enough, you won't go wrong with these guys!

Manny and Leo did a great job fabricating and installing our 3 bathroom countertops! We feel lucky to have found them because their price was good, their fabrication was excellent, their time from templating to install was quick, and the install was done efficiently and cleanly in just half a day! It was easy to communicate and work with them and the end product was outstanding! We're also planning to have them do our kitchen countertops too as soon as our new kitchen cabinets get done because their work is wonderful!!!! We can't say enough good things about their work - excellent work! We highly recommend them!!!

I highly recommend Bay Area Marble Experts for a great service and their friendly workers. Leo was especially helpful when I went in for my countertops.

Leo and his team are amazing!!!! We had our porcelain slabs fabricated with them and they did an amazing job! On top of that, They are very responsive, reliable and very professional. I would recommend them for any fabrication work. My kitchen is very beautiful now, thanks to Leo and his team at Bay Area marble experts!!

We recently replaced our old tile counter tops with granite. Leo and his team exceeded expectations. They were prompt with communication, reasonable with prices, flexible on scheduling and easy to work with all around. I was amazed when they showed up on the first day at 9:30 am and by 3pm they had already demolished our old counters, installed new hard top and made templates! Then about a week later, everything was finished including a custom mosaic inlay installed above the cooktop. They did a great job and we are really happy with it. Highly recommended company.

I installed white hexagon marble in my shower and used a dark grout. It turned the marble a gray tone. Can this be fixed?

Based on my experience, you will not be disappointed. If you want to hear about the overall experience and level of service, then read on... I started off my search by messaging multiple people/companies about countertop fabrication and installation. Some messaged me back, some gave very minimal responses, some places had high prices, some didn't have time for all of my questions. This is the first time I've done any countertop work and I did a lot of research on many different places and scoured the Hayward/San Leandro area and beyond to look at different countertops, designs, etc. Alvaro always responded to all my messages and emails. Every single time. Sometimes my messages would be weeks apart. When I finally made my decision to go with him, it was well over a month from when I first contacted him. He stuck with me all along the way and that left an impression on me, especially in this type of business. I had a few strange questions about different options and configurations of the counters and he was always responsive with open and honest opinions and information. Once I finally picked out my material, he met me at the shop where I purchased the counter to check out the material and he helped me make sure we were getting a good piece that wasn't too warped. All of this helped reassure me that he approved of my selection and that his trained eye could notice things that I wouldn't be able to notice on my own. He picked up the slab with his truck and took it off to fabricate and cut. He showed up a few days later for the install and it was done in no time. Oh, I forgot to mention that he stopped by and did a consultation and looked everything over and provided a ton of really helpful advice and analysis of the job, how he would suggest doing it, what he wouldn't suggest etc. He also brought some samples with him for me to check out and offered a great price on countertops that he already had on hand. The entire experience is everything that you would hope for in a countertop install. I will recommend him to anyone that need any countertop work. The pricing was some of the best I could find, the work was high quality (still looking great and holding up 7 months in) and Alvaro was a pleasure to work with. Thank you very much for everything!

He was great and very clear answering my questions about the feasibility of the project, what material to use, and the timeline he could do the project in. He gave a great recommendation of where we could find a slab the size we needed (we needed an unusually large slab and he knew exactly where we could go - MSI in Hayward!). He came earlier this week to measure and make a template for the slabs, then came this morning to install with his team. It was quick, easy, and excellent! Him doing preparation with a template to take into account imperfections where we were going to install was excellent and the slabs look beautiful in our space. I highly recommend him!

He took on a complex job for us, cutting several slabs of delicate and expensive quartzite stone. We were very impressed by his precision, transparency, and care throughout the process. Our project involved a large kitchen island with waterfall sides and mitered edges, a lengthy countertop with a sizable sink cutout, and full backsplash walls. Miguel customized every piece to fit perfectly around our custom cabinetry--down to an eighth of an inch. His meticulous attention to detail ensured that the natural veining, lines, and color variations of the quartzite flowed beautifully from one section to the next. Miguel is patient, honest, communicative, and truly committed to high-quality craftsmanship. We couldn't be happier with the results and wholeheartedly recommend his work.

He worked efficiently without ever sacrificing quality, and his craftsmanship truly shows. The final result left us awe-struck; everything came out seamless, elegant, and beautifully executed. Avoid for Large Projects - Poor Communication, Costly Mistakes, and Delays…read more I would not hire R&A Stone and Tile unless you are a contractor yourself and can monitor the job 24/7. They may be fine for small tiling jobs, or a cheap kitchen flip that you don't care about the quality but anything beyond that is a mistake. Project Experience: -Disorganized & Poor Communication: Ruben, the contractor, constantly miscommunicated with his crew, leading to errors and wasted time. The crew speaks limited English, and Ruben failed to properly relay instructions. -Constant Rescheduling & Delays: The project was plagued with intentional delays because they were trying to juggle randoms crew members to the job site. They do not have a dedicated crew. To keep the job moving, I had to step in and install my stove hood myself. Quality of Work: -Minimal Supervision & Costly Mistakes: Ruben was only on-site for 30 minutes to an hour a day. The crew made frequent errors, wasted materials, and ultimately cost me an extra $5,000 in materials. Unprofessional Workmanship: -A crew member (Adrian) improperly used self-leveling, causing mortar to seep through walls and doors. -The same worker almost set my kitchen on fire due to incorrect wiring. -A junior crew member (Manuel) threw away new materials, further increasing costs. -My husband and I had to redo the wall texture they applied because it was done so poorly. -The countertop was improperly installed (by Victor), leading to a post-installation crack. The contractor promised to fix it but was a no-show, wasting an entire day of our time. -The dishwasher was incorrectly installed (Ricardo), requiring my husband to take a day off to reinstall it. Material Pricing & Usage: The contractor ordered materials on my behalf, but the pricing changed and was increased without transparency. The crew also took materials I paid for to use on other job sites. Also on two occasions, we had to order more tiles at 3x the cost because all the measurements were incorrect. Other Issues: -The crew trashed and clogged our bathroom toilet. They denied responsibility until I installed a camera--only then did the issue stop. -Never reimbursed or refunded for damages and extra expenses. Final Verdict: Ruben is a nice guy and means well, but his company is not equipped for big jobs (over $10K). If you have a small bathroom tile job, they might be fine, but anything beyond that--find a better contractor. We rushed to finish the project just to be done with them, and in hindsight, we should have hired someone else from the start. Do not make the same mistake we did. 2/5 - Would not recommend for major home renovations. Recommend for small jobs only.
