Listen. I was fully prepared to stand in the corner, eat a mini dessert, eat pasta, and clap politely when my kid (and her friends) walked across the stage. That is NOT what happened. This DJ had me doing something I can only describe as dancing within the first 20 minutes, and I have two left feet and a bad knee. We booked him about a month in advance for our 5th grade promotion ball in Los Altos Hills and he showed up early, already set up, already playing. The kids lost their minds. The parents lost their inhibitions. It was beautiful and slightly embarrassing for everyone involved. He brought his own fun lighting, which turned our school event into something that felt like a legitimate party. At one point, I looked over and saw 5 boys (11YO BOYS!!) in button-downs doing the worm (or something like that). I don't think they had planned to do the worm when they left the house that evening. The DJ made it happen. At the end of the night, multiple kids went up to their parents and said it was "the best party I've ever had." As the parent who spent WEEKS planning this event, I will not be taking questions at this time because I am too busy crying happy tears. He played until the absolute last second. We engaged DJ Chris for our kids middle school graduation celebration. We were thrilled that DJ Chris also had a Photo Booth in addition to providing the music. On the day of the event, he came early to set up. I did mention the fact that our school was very multicultural. We loved the music playlist that DJ Chris played. The kids' parents were thrilled that he played some Russian songs, Chinese songs, some Indian songs and Hebrew songs in addition to the latest music that middle schoolers love. Chris showed up early to set up for our event which ran on a Saturday 9AM-4PM and had sixty 13 year olds and an equal number of parents. He brought his DJ speakers and microphones and disco ball and MCd much of the event including kids musical chairs scavenger hunt, dancing, etc. We had LED uplighting which could be any color and was great because it was wireless and didn't need plugs/extension cords. While playing my daughter's Spotify playlist Chris also managed a rowdy crowd of kids in the Photo Booth. The Photo Booth was great as it had a custom event name on the printouts, had a full fun prop table, and Chris gave me digital copies of all photos taken. After the event Chris packed himself up without needing any help. Throughout he was calm and easy going, he's been DJing for a long time so has seen that done that. We hired Chris for our Wedding on Saturday, June 7, 2014. We had a lunch reception of about 200 people which consisted of our family, family friends and parents friends. It was an older group and Chris did a great job of feeling the crowd and playing quieter, tamed music as well as kid friendly since there were almost 20 kids. We then had a dinner reception with all of our friends - essentially 100 people mid 20s to late 30s. We requested the music to be a little different than lunch as it was a different crowd and we were going for a different vibe. My husband and I were sooo happy we went with Chris! 1. He was paying attention the entire time! I'm sure Chris does this ALL the time, so I was really impressed he actually listened to my fathers 10 minute speech as well as all of our bridal party toasts. (when references were made in toasts, Chris would play relevant music seconds later - not sure how many people noticed, but my husband and i thought this was a very nice touch) 2. Chris was very easy to work with and easy going during the entire process. He asked for guidance in the beginning, and it took us longer than expected to get him a list of songs to go off of - and we were a bit fickle, but he was very patient and never pushy. Always very responsive with quick replies. 3. Our lunch reception went relatively according to plan and Chris was always paying attention and on top of what our emcee was doing. Our dinner reception spiraled into a drunk fun mess pretty quickly, last minute we shortened our father daughter song AND we changed our first dance song and Chris did a great job just rolling with it. 4. Lastly, my husband and I just really wanted to have fun at our wedding and we wanted our guests to have fun too - the music was amazing! Chris definitely felt the crowd and there was dancing going on the ENTIRE time!!! While we were wedding planning, we were really trying to keep it budgeted and cut costs where we could. I'm very surprised that this DJ got so many 5 star reviews. Heard him play at a wedding and I'd have to say it was pretty sad. I think I could play songs off of my laptop better than he could. The music during the dinner service was not so bad, but once the dancing actually started, the flow of songs was not good. The transition between songs is horrendous!! If he had better skills, I think there would be far more than 10 people dancing. The point of me leaving this review is to share my experience with other people. The DJ called me this morning to ask me to remove the review. I told him I could revise it because the song choices were of the bride and groom, but I will not remove this review. He told me that he uses software that mixes the music perfectly. Obviously he hasn't heard music mixed well. He told that the bride and groom liked his services, but if the groom was drunk and was passed out how would he know? He told me that he would call the bride and groom. Ok...call them. If they liked him that much, they will write a good review. That's not going to change my review. It is what it is. If you'd like to have people dancing and having a good time at your event, don't hire this DJ. Or if you want to consider hiring him, you should really have him play a sample of how the songs mix together for you. read more

Chris was magnificent for our Wedding. He was very early to our event, Ceremony and Reception. We had the ceremony at the Intercontinental off of Howard and 5th, our florist and wedding coordinator did not know where the loading dock was, but Chris was wonderful and came down to show us. He even came down to bring up the flowers, what a great guy! He was very considerate and wanted the entire ceremony to go smoothly. He wired up our pastor and gave us a standing mic for our singers. Chris was so attentive, he moved the stand closer for us while our Pastor was talking, so our guest could hear our responses "I do". During the reception, at McCormick and Kuletos, we reserved a table for our vendors, but he preferred to eat at the DJ stand so he can work. We wanted him to enjoy himself? but he insisted. I hired Chris to DJ and MC our wedding reception. I found Chris through a popular wedding planning website. I chose Chris because his pricing was competitive and he actually responded to messages. I sent several estimate requests to different DJs and I only heard from a couple of DJs. Chris responded to messages quickly and also helped me with the planning of the reception schedule of events with a sample schedule. His music selection is huge and he has his entire music catalog online that you can browse and build a playlist that you can send to Chris. Again, Chris kept constant email contact with me, even if it was a short message confirming that he received my messages. Of course, I arrived at the reception long after Chris had set up. As I approached the reception room I could hear the music playing and I was relieved. Music really makes the party legit. When I walked in to the reception with my bride and sat down, I made eye contact with Chris and he gave me the "I'm here for you bud" nod. Chris is an AMAZING DJ! Super detailed and extremely flexible and easy to work with. Both my wife and I are busy people and we really appreciated the extra miles he went to help us throughout the whole planning process, accessible via phone and email.
