I finally signed up for a membership and it's been some years since I've been here. I recently had foot surgery so I definitely wanted to get back on track with healing and doing it in the most optimal way. What better way than to get a lymphatic massage for my lower body. I also booked for red light therapy on a mat. I ended up booking a sample package and my first stop was the lymph with neuro. I got into a bodysuit that would put pressure on my lower extremities intermittently. I liked it but I started to feel uncomfortable on my foot where I had surgery, so I asked to stop and do it next time. Then I was led to the hydrotherapy- waterbed with nice jets underneath. That was a very relaxing massage that I dozed off to. When the 15 minute timer went off on that, I then was whisked off to the large fascia roller. Super interesting. It's a large roller where you lean any body part against to get the circulation going. Pretty cool. After that- I was then led to dry salt therapy where I sat in a booth, inhaled deeply with my nose and supposedly all these benefits come with doing so. I left feeling pretty good overall and I would choose this multi- diverse spa session over any bougie OK spa session because this actually works your body! read more

I've been getting Neurofeedback here since Dec 2023. I was suffering from moderately severe chemo brain following my cancer treatments. I had researched and there was suggestions that this technology may help me. I'm so glad I found this place and neurofeedback! Angela and Carleigh have been incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in my recovery from chronic illness and stress. I love going here and using the infrared mat (so relaxing), bio charger recipes (also so relaxing) but most of all - regular neurofeedback has changed my brain. The second time it was the most balanced and joyful I've felt in a long time. Super relaxing! The salt therapy, PEMF mat and Neurofeedback offer wonderful healing & relaxation opportunities. They have many more modalities I need to try! It was my one & only younger sister's 70th birthday & my daughter suggested that we get a treatment here for her special day, so my daughter treated me & my niece treated my sister. We all four had the 1st time combo special of two procedures - the neurofeedback brain training & the lymphatic drainage massage. Both procedures I benefited immensely & felt immediate comfort of relief & no pains after session. I couldn't believe that I felt light, relaxed, calm from the neurofeedback & my knee & arm/shoulder joints were pain free. It's been about 10 days since I had the treatments. I'm still feeling the benefits. I'm a post-polio survivor & I caught poliomyelitis when I was 9 months old living in Vallejo because my dad worked @ Mare Island. I was born in San Francisco, but caught the virus in Vallejo & was hospitalized in SF for two months. I've worn leg braces all my life & now being retired & permanently disabled from working @ the age of 56, I had to slow down because of the effects of post-polio syndrome after aging. I've gone to chiropractors, acupuncturists, body massages and cranial therapy, but the treatment I had at the Brain Spa was a blessing to me which I felt immediate benefits from especially with other ongoing medical ailments like diabetes, hypertension & high cholesterol. As a competitive martial artist from Brazil since the year of 1992.I always looking for a way to cut edge in my athletic performance . In 2007 I won the World's championships of grappling in the same year that I won my mixed martial arts (mma)debut . After been competing for over 23 years in 2016 I was introduced to neuroptimal. At the age of 41 in 2017 I won my first professional jiu-jitsu fight . I kept with the Neuroptimal sessions and they called me out again to fight a pro event in 2018 and I let flow with Neuroptimal as well and the same thing happened with me winning my other match in 2019 . I love Neuroptimal and I recommended to everyone that I meet . My son and my daughter also use the system and we all can tell the big difference in their mental state. Angela is an amazing human that I always call or message asking for more sessions or advice about the program . The new spot that she got it now is unreal. I strongly recommended for anyone suffering of anxiety or mental pressure . It's an amazing feeling when you encounter yourself in the zone . For me in martial arts it's pretty strange sometimes I can predict the opponent next move by a large distance in time . I sleep better I have a much better performance in my Brazilian jiu-jitsu and soccer (yeah I'm a soccer player too). This was my very first visit at the Bay Area Brain spa and I loved it! The staff was super friendly, professional, helpful, and informative about all of the treatments. I did Neurofeedback in the Compression Massage Pants on sport mode, and Red Light Therapy. The Compression Massage Pants were great for my sore muscles; as an Irish Dancer my legs were feeling tight and sore from practice, but after the treatment they felt really refreshed. Also, following the Neurofeedback I felt calm, refreshed, and more at ease about my upcoming dance completion. The Red Light Therapy also helped my skin and calm breakouts! Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the Bay Area Brain Spa, especially if you are an athlete! I spent my Friday morning at a gem of a place called the Brain Spa. I started my relaxing day with the Ballancer Pro lymphatic massage with a red light facial. Then I did the PEMF mat and Migun acupressure massage which felt AMAZING! It was so relaxing and just what my body needed to rejuvenate. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to recharge the body! I also bought a Joey bar which was delicious (kicking myself for not buying a whole box) and a great smelling candle called Spa Day. I notice I feel this business is out of integrity with their practices. I purchased an appointment a head of time via their booking services online. When you purchase online you need to read the policies of the spa. I read that if you buy a package there are no refunds and all sales all final. I had only purchased a one time session, so I did not think this applied to me. The wording seems unclear to me. When I noticed that the Neurofeedback wasn't the actual system I was looking for, that I had made a mistake, I canceled the appointment. I wasn't offered a refund so I emailed the office and I haven't heard back from them. I did book too quickly, I take responsibility for that. To have to pay for a service that I did not receive feels terrible. I feel taken advantage of. Almost as if the spa is hoping that mistakes are made in this line. This demonstrates a lack of care to me and allows no space for simple human error. Again, the language used seems unclear in the policies section and it is only emailed to you after purchasing. We have found the rental neurofeedback systems so helpful for our young family to reduce stress (particularly in our elementary aged children) and restore balance in the house during this pandemic. It was so nice to do neurofeedback in the safety of our home, and at a frequency that fit our schedules (even during school and work!). I have also been into the spa for balancer pro and migun massage. Both were really relaxing treatments, I was the only client in the spa at the time, and Angela was so professional.
