It was my second time with acupuncture so really had no idea what to expect from different docs. I went to one in San Jose who was OK. Dr. Liam Yu Is soo much better. She spends time getting to know the whole body- including external factors like stress, anxiety and just life. After one session, my range of motion in my neck increased. I have to go back a few more times to get it all fixed but as she says it takes time and patience and lifestyle. Her place is in Danville- it's small and quiet which is what you really need rather than a large place with lots of chatting and people walking around. You can tell she cares about what she does. I actually fell asleep with needles all over my body! Crazy right? ! Anyway I highly recommend her. Am definitely going back. I'll check back in after a few rounds to see if and how I progress.

My other Orthopedic doctor recommended a surgery on the knee (meniscus tear.) and I will be out on crutches for 3 months if I opted for surgery. I came to Y's Nature instead and received acupuncture treatment immediately. I couldn't believe that after my 2nd treatment the relief was immediate. The treatment was painless and Dr Kung meticulously and carefully administered the needles and I felt noticeable relief on the pain area. My knee has completely recovered without surgery. And I submitted my bill to HSA/FSA or Health Spending Account and it was completely covered. I strongly recommend Dr. Kung/ Y's Nature Wellness if you need pain relief and all sorts of internal health issues.

As a Doctor of Acupuncture and owner of a sports med clinic across the bay, I hold high standards when looking for another physician to work on me. I'm a total needle-phobe and I still get squeamish about points I know are sensitive, but Sharon has great technique and I honestly didn't feel any pain, at the same points a dozen other acupuncturists failed me on. She's a good communicator if you get anxious, and is patient and respectful of your time and your space. I really think Spruce is a hidden gem in the East Bay. Sharon got me back to working out again within two weeks and a few visits. Location is great downtown, close and easy parking. Inside decor, atmospherics, everything feels nice and quality. Scheduling online is easy to use, clear and simple. The treatment room is comfortable and clean. Get in with her while she still has some openings! You will get more time and attention than anywhere else.

She stays focused, which is very calming to someone in pain. Rather than going from patient to patient, you are her priority... she listens, takes notes and always remembers what techniques she has used previously. I've had acupuncture many times over the years and I've never come across a practitioner as caring and effective as Sharon.

Enough to convince someone who is scared of needles but interested in the results, to try it. Hopeful for relief from current ailments, I booked an appointment for a 90 min. consultation + chiro and acupuncture session. In the notes I communicated that I am scared of needles, the doctor quickly cancelled my appointment within the same day. She did refer me to another business, but can't find them onyelp ... they only have a Facebook profile for their business. It seems as though Dr. Katie isn't interested in first timers that may be scared and require adjustments or more attention. Thankful for the quick turn around so we can avoid a potentially troubling experience.
