It was my second time with acupuncture so really had no idea what to expect from different docs. I went to one in San Jose who was OK. Dr. Liam Yu Is soo much better. She spends time getting to know the whole body- including external factors like stress, anxiety and just life. After one session, my range of motion in my neck increased. I have to go back a few more times to get it all fixed but as she says it takes time and patience and lifestyle. Her place is in Danville- it's small and quiet which is what you really need rather than a large place with lots of chatting and people walking around. You can tell she cares about what she does. I actually fell asleep with needles all over my body! Crazy right? ! Anyway I highly recommend her. Am definitely going back. I'll check back in after a few rounds to see if and how I progress.

I am over 50 yr old and my right knee was sprained/injured while playing tennis. My other Orthopedic doctor recommended a surgery on the knee (meniscus tear.) and I will be out on crutches for 3 months if I opted for surgery. I came to Y's Nature instead and received acupuncture treatment immediately. I couldn't believe that after my 2nd treatment the relief was immediate. The treatment was painless and Dr Kung meticulously and carefully administered the needles and I felt noticeable relief on the pain area. My knee has completely recovered without surgery. And I submitted my bill to HSA/FSA or Health Spending Account and it was completely covered. I strongly recommend Dr. Kung/ Y's Nature Wellness if you need pain relief and all sorts of internal health issues.

She is incredibly kind, she holds a compassionate, emotionally safe space, and offers intuitive, highly effective treatments. She's not only treating the symptoms - she continues to help me find a firmer foundation of health, whilst acknowledging how complicated it can be to maintain a sense of wellness in the world we're living in. Her recommendations accomodate a modern lifestyle, as she offers choices without dogma or shame. A few years ago, Angela helped me overcome recurring voice loss, and now, she's supporting me through the grief process and 'coming down' from being a caregiver to my father for almost 13 years. There is much healing to be done, and I feel deeply grateful to have a literal earth angel on my side through it all. If you're looking for someone who's a true healer and can acknowledge the nuances of your spiritual, emotional, and physical health with authenticity and grace...Angela is a queen to know and a highly valuable resource!

I truly believe this is his calling. I live with extremely complex and severe conditions, including stage 3 full-body CRPS (one of the highest pain conditions on the national pain scale), erythromelalgia, severe nerve pain that constantly fires as stabbing, burning, and electric shock sensations, piriformis syndrome, bulging and degenerative disc issues, spinal stenosis, chronic back pain, migraines, and serious sleep disturbances. My nervous system is often in a constant state of overload and pain. What makes Dr. Legaspi so rare is that he actually understands and takes the time to treat all of this together. He listens deeply, never rushes, and approaches my care with patience, gentleness, and real intention to help my body calm down. Honestly, the only times my nervous system truly settles and I am able to sleep is after seeing him. His treatments noticeably calm the nerve firing, reduce the intensity of the burning and shooting pain, and bring a level of relief I struggle to find anywhere else. It feels like my body finally gets a moment to rest. He is also incredibly compassionate and attentive. I'm in a wheelchair, and he always makes sure I am safe. He even waits with me until my Uber arrives and makes sure I get in safely. That kind of care and humanity is rare. After a year and a half, I can say without hesitation that he has made a real difference in my life. He is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but he treats medicine like a true calling, and it shows in everything he does. I am deeply grateful to have found Dr. Legaspi.

I had seen other functional medicine doctors in the past, but nothing really helped or made a noticeable difference. From my very first visit with Dr. Legaspi, I felt truly heard and cared for. The bleeding has reduced significantly, and my anxiety feels so much more manageable. I finally feel like my body is starting to heal, and I couldn't be more grateful. Dr. Legaspi has made a real difference in my life--I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a holistic, effective approach to healing.

As a Doctor of Acupuncture and owner of a sports med clinic across the bay, I hold high standards when looking for another physician to work on me. I'm a total needle-phobe and I still get squeamish about points I know are sensitive, but Sharon has great technique and I honestly didn't feel any pain, at the same points a dozen other acupuncturists failed me on. She's a good communicator if you get anxious, and is patient and respectful of your time and your space. I really think Spruce is a hidden gem in the East Bay. Sharon got me back to working out again within two weeks and a few visits. Location is great downtown, close and easy parking. Inside decor, atmospherics, everything feels nice and quality. Scheduling online is easy to use, clear and simple. The treatment room is comfortable and clean. Get in with her while she still has some openings! She said she takes insurance but then the nightmare starts. She asked me to pay in cash then could file insurance on my own by giving me receipts. I did and asked for receipts every time I see her. After 3 treatments, she gave me a non medical super bill with no EIN number. It's not acceptable by insurance. Things started to go chaotic. At first she refused to help filing insurance because of language barrier; gave me all the excuses, assuming my insurance is cheap with huge deductible, assaulting my employer provided bad insurance...Then she said it costs her to hire someone to do it (every medical clinic hires some professional to handle billing, it's a very basic thing). Five months after with enormous amount of time on calls and chats between Viven, me and my insurance company. I discovered she filed and charged 2 times the billing amount to my insurance. She reimbursed me what I paid her in cash and pocketed the rest of the money. She said it's legal and legitimately done. Not to mention the treatments I received have no affect on me. The way she handles works is very doubtful and unprofessional. I feel sad that she had ruined the reputation on the field of Chinese acupuncture.

Being a person who had never dealt with back problems, I threw out my back to the point it was spasming so badly, I almost fell on the floor. I had MINIMAL range of motion, it was AWFUL. Peter treated me with acupuncture. By the time I left his office, I could bend over and touch my toes whereas before I could barely move. AND my back problems stayed away! I've also been treated for a lung infection that kept recurring. He gave me instructions on lifestyle changes in addition to providing some herbs to help with my situation. It cleared the lung congestion right up. Peter is professional, intuitive professional whom I respect highly. And by the way, it does NOT hurt to have acupuncture...
