I'm in from out of town, and my iPhone wouldn't boot up. It was just frozen on the start screen. The carrier wasn't able to fix the issue, so I drove down to see if there was a computer shop in town. Just happened to see Bausen technology, and stopped in. They told me what the issue probably was, and took some basic information from me about my Apple account. I left the phone for an hour or so, came back, and was able to reload everything that had been on there with no loss of data. Excellent service, reasonable price, highly recommend. read more

Well, they did it again! I was last in Bausen's in November 2020 for an issue with my laptop. No, I'm not going into one of my usual long-winded reviews, boring you with minutia. You can just read my other review. What did they do again? Delivered excellent, friendly service in an extremely timely manner. This time it was Peg's laptop; a blue-screen with a :( saying it was going to restart and restart it did. Then it went into diagnostic mode, then . . . But you don't want to read all that, do you? Fine, be like that. Just wait until you're my age and want to go on and on, enlightening the reader with witty repartee and some young whipper-snapper is thinking, "When will he get to it, already?" Indignity heaped upon indignity! But I digress . . .. The laptop went in about about 9:30am. Chris called an hour and a half later to explain the problem (an almost kaput hard drive); Peg opted for a solid state disk. At 3:30pm Chris called again and it was done. In today's business world, consistent excellent, prompt service is unfortunately becoming a thing of the past. And when it does exist, it's sporadic. At Bausen's it's their way of doing business every day. So, Kerrville, if you're going any place else (and I've been to them all) for your computer or phone repair needs, you're spending too much time and money. This is my 2nd time in three years I used Bausen Technology. Bausen was so good last time I decided to use them again. They diagnosed my Dell Laptop bad battery lasting only 1 hour during use and also identified my bad disk drive. Ordered and installed a new battery, they cloned my old drive and restored it to a new solid state device in a matter of days. They kept me up to date as to the status of the repair, easy to work with and the final bill was reasonable. What can I say, I would for sure use them again! read more

FAULTY PRODUCTS; SCAMMING PEOPLE INTO GETTING MORE REPLACEMENTS FOR NO REASON 10/10 recommend phone dawgs instead, as they have higher quality products and wont scam you! They are a little more expensive, but you get your piece of mind through their quality work! I replaced my phone screen through Bausen about a month ago because it was no longer working. A week later I cracked my screen and the entire screen started glitching. They told me if there were no visible cracks, they would be able to replace it free of charge. Typically, a phone screen would last through one hairline crack however it was my fault, so I went in and had it replaced again at full price. Two days later my phone screen started glitching, (in perfect condition) so I took my phone back to their store to show them. They replaced the phone screen as promised and informed me that they have been getting faulty products from China that aren't holding up great which is why they have a 90-day guarantee on all screen replacements. Today, one month later, my entire screen went completely black out of nowhere. The phone was not dropped, the screen is brand new (with the exception of 30 days of normal use) without visible cracks and has been in a case since it was replaced. They told me there is nothing they can do, and I must pay them again for a new screen even though they know they have faulty products! In conclusion, they sell their products hoping that they will go bad after the 90-day mark so you can go back to them to get your phone fixed. They do not have any intention on actually resolving your issue long term. My screen went bad in roughly 30 days and apparently somehow, it's at my expense. They've sucked over $300 out of me; trust me you don't want to be next! read more

Even though it indicates closed on Saturday, I was in there last Saturday and had Robbie change the battery in my wife's I phone 5. I cannot say enough good things about this place. He answered all my questions and was very patient because I am very low-tech. I ended up buying a reconditioned I phone 7 and he did everything, transferring all my data stored on the older phone. His prices were less than I expected. On top of everything else, he is a veteran, and a Marine at that! I highly recommend his business to all my friends. They do a lot more than iphone repair. I needed an upgrade from a 128 SSD to a 1T SSD for my HP desktop. James assured me that it would be no problem and gave me a very competitive estimate. I was afraid that my settings and files might be compromised but decided to go with the upgrade regardless. I couldn't believe it when I got it home and it was as if it never left my house - except that the "C" drive now read 867 gigabytes free instead of 60 gigabytes free! What a difference. He replaced my iPhone 7 screen for a very reasonable price (the cheapest price out of the 5 places I called) and he was able to do it that day in about 15 minutes. The screen was an Apple screen, so very high quality as compared to cheapies you will get at other repair shops. I would definitely recommend this place as it is very trustworthy. read more

My battery on my iPhone SE was dying - would go from 100% to 0% in about half an hour no matter what I did to conserve it. Bausen switched it out within an hour of dropping it off, charged a reasonable rate, were very courteous and accommodating. This is my 2nd review of these folks at Bausen, located in Kerrville Texas. Sec and review, no big deal right? The kicker is I live in Chesapeake, Virginia. No, I didn't drive here just to get my computer repaired...but, I'd definitely consider it. We have wonderful friends here in Kerrville and the last time I was here, the great crew ay Bausen literally saved my $1500. laptop, that another company had for a year and didn't, couldn't or wouldn't help me with. Our friends had just had them replace some broken screens on some phones and said they were great and I should give them a try. Best decision ever getting a computer worked on. They took a computer that I had dumped sweet coffee on, a year earlier, and had it up and running in about 2 hours. That's right, they're that good. I was surprised to say the least and I told James that if I ever had computer problems I was gonna ship my computer to them for repair. My brand new Apple, the one I bought when I didn't know the other one could be saved was having issues with the screen going black. I knew I was coming to Kerrville to spend some time with our friends so I knew I would let Bausen look at it. I dropped it off Monday just before closing. I think I got a call the next morning before 11:00 AM...DONE! It's not easy being in business and dealing with the public over something as frustrating as a computer can offer special challenges. These guys are so professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Do yourself a favor, If you're having issues with your electronics, let this company see if they can help you...cause they will!!!!!! Robbie, one of the owners repaired my shattered cell phone screen. He was prompt, friendly and reasonable. He called and checked on how it was functioning just as the phone started doing some strange things. He said come back and he would put a new one on, no charge. Again the phone started acting crazy and again he changed it out no charge! This time was the charm. No problems at all!! I would highly recommend this fine business for any technology repairs.
