Unfortunately, after 5 month and 3 trips to my home, the microwave remained broken. On April 2. Shawn came out for the 4th time. He made two attempts to install a fuse, both of which immediately burned out. He said he needed to order another part and would call us when it arrived. After a month with no word from Shawn, I called him. He said he would call and check on the part and call back. No contact. I kept calling and he would make excuses as to where the part could be, always promising to call back but never doing it. I had tried to avoid calling American Home Shield because I didn't want to get Shawn in trouble but it's now the middle of June and still no microwave. I called AHS. They said they had been calling Shawn for weeks with no response. They said the part he ordered had been there since mid-May! (Turns out it was again the wrong part). They sent out a company from San Antonio who had it fixed in a week. Shawn obviously got tired of not making $ on us since he had to make repeat visits. The worst part was that he lied repeatedly instead of being man enough to say he wasn't coming back. Extremely uncool Shawn.

After two weeks, no work had been done, and they said it would be cheaper to order a carburetor but that would take weeks. After three weeks, tried to pick up mower--they clearly had no intention of working on it. Took several calls to Service to get the mower ready for pickup. They insisted on a "diagnostic fee" for doing nothing. Over the phone I was quoted $87 + tax. Asked twice, wrote it down. When I got there, it was $126. Diversity hire service manager had to pull crumpled post-it notes from the trash to figure out the price. She had no idea how to pull up the service ticket online. Clearly she never turned a wrench in her life. Lied to my face about what she said on the phone and I wrote down. Completely dishonest and incompetent. Bad service. Bad customer support. Avoid.

Eventually one of the customer service reps informed me that he had successfully contacted the shop and been told that the machine needed a new transmission. This, a full month after delivering the machine to the shop! Ronnie at DR HQ also told me that he had mailed the new transmission which should arrive at the shop in a week or less and that the owner had informed him it would take an additional week to repair upon receipt. I marked my calendar with a reminder to call the shop at the end of Dec but was again not able to reach anyone. Exasperated, I kept trying to reach the shop over the next couple of weeks and on January 18, 2023, I reached the shop proprietor who informed me, in what I considered to be an unpleasant manner, that the machine was ready for pickup. On January 20 I travelled to Kerrville and upon handing the owner the claim ticket, he tossed it onto the floor with a dramatic gesture of disdain and retrieved the machine. I found the machine was out of gas, the battery was discharged, and the new Beaver blade was corroded from having been left out in the rain. I asked him for some gas to test operate the trimmer and he told me that he had no gas (in a shop full of gasoline-operated equipment!). I stood there in disbelief, and he then told me that I had created a lot of trouble by contacting DR HQ and screamed at me to "Get the F out of my office!" At that time, feeling threatened, I loaded up the trimmer onto my truck and left. After traveling the 35 miles back to the ranch, I gassed up the trimmer and replenished the oil which was also low and tested it satisfactorily. Apart from the corroded Beaver Blade, all seemed to be in order. It is my strong recommendation that DR should attempt to enlist another repair shop for warranty work, as I, for one, would not be comfortable returning to Double M in the future.

We rented a UTV for a get together on a ranch an hour or so from Kerrville. The ranch had features really spread out across their land. Safari animals over lots of acreage and a gun range at the end of a couple mile flat dirt road. Given that the company forgot to give us a key for our rental! we didn't even use it two of the three days. We had to go meet someone halfway to get the key, so that sucked. The last day all we did was tour the property and go blow all the shells we had bought for three days and the gun range. We didn't do a damn thing on that vehicle that would have damaged its shocks. Maybe they were damaged on the ride over on the trailer, but even then that's not our fault. The shocks must have been worn to hell! How are you going to try to make us pay for it it's out of our control. You can't pin wear and tear on the last renter! We tried explaining ourselves but they weren't listening. You listening now?

I then find out that it was due to their repair guy half-ass trying to rig up a part to try and work that failed and caused 6 parts to have to be replaced. I guess the only good that came out of it was that they fessed up and replaced it all at no cost to me, but when I asked about how much labor/time and "parts" I had paid for the first time I was in there, I get nothing but a promise that the manager(s) would call me back to discuss it. Still waiting on that call....
