If you do got to this guy, Caveat Emptor for his services. Make darn sure you request an estimate for repairs forst. Also demand the return of all used parts. I am almost certain he has a gimmick of taking perfectly fine parts off the mowers for his own use, and replacing them even though said parts have nothing wrong with them. I know this becasue i had a new sparkplug , and a drive belt thqat was in fine like new condtion, which he replaced for no reason. I also had fresh oil , which he drained and replaced with more of hos own oil- if he even did in fact do so. He's banking on the fact that you are ignorant- I sure was. When I asked him why the mower was still broken when I got it home, after I had paid 140.00, he said , and I quote"things like that happen all the time in that business", and that it was probably the transmission even though he replaced the drive mechanism at considerable expense. All in all, a flat out ripoff.I'm pout 140.00, and lawnmower self propelled rive was exactly the same as before I took it to him- Broken, and not working properly. Had a problem with the multiple fees after first fee didn't result in any positive outcome or result. Management explained that each appliance was separate $125 fee...although no appliance has been fixed and 3 appliances needed and had been assessed and $125 quote had been paid. Supposedly the service fee would be applied towards repair if I went with their recommendation. Which I did agree to. But they never repaired anything... Or gave any recommendations... Or tried...to help me navigate the repairs of any of my appliances. But they charged... and never returned calls and never responded. So, I kept calling them.. and... I researched the problem on my own... and then called them and made them come fix the $11 problem after I told them how to fix & ordered the part myself and asked them to come install.... I guess they felt inadequate and were offended by my escalation to their management... I was able to do the job I needed in the time I predicted. (I could have never done it with a four wheel bobcat.). The machine was in great condition, practically new, and functioned flawlessly. The air conditioned cab was really nice...cool, clean and most of all, not dusty. The tilt trailer I rented was easy to load and unload. (Next time I'll probably take advantage of their delivery and pickup service.) The pickup and return was easy and laid back. Friendly guys and great to do business with. Throughout this frustrating experience I made certain to keep DR HQ informed. Several of the…read morehelpful Customer Service Reps had even apologized to me after struggling to reach the shop by phone. Eventually one of the customer service reps informed me that he had successfully contacted the shop and been told that the machine needed a new transmission. This, a full month after delivering the machine to the shop! Ronnie at DR HQ also told me that he had mailed the new transmission which should arrive at the shop in a week or less and that the owner had informed him it would take an additional week to repair upon receipt. I marked my calendar with a reminder to call the shop at the end of Dec but was again not able to reach anyone. Exasperated, I kept trying to reach the shop over the next couple of weeks and on January 18, 2023, I reached the shop proprietor who informed me, in what I considered to be an unpleasant manner, that the machine was ready for pickup. On January 20 I travelled to Kerrville and upon handing the owner the claim ticket, he tossed it onto the floor with a dramatic gesture of disdain and retrieved the machine. I found the machine was out of gas, the battery was discharged, and the new Beaver blade was corroded from having been left out in the rain. I asked him for some gas to test operate the trimmer and he told me that he had no gas (in a shop full of gasoline-operated equipment!). I stood there in disbelief, and he then told me that I had created a lot of trouble by contacting DR HQ and screamed at me to "Get the F out of my office!" At that time, feeling threatened, I loaded up the trimmer onto my truck and left. After traveling the 35 miles back to the ranch, I gassed up the trimmer and replenished the oil which was also low and tested it satisfactorily. Apart from the corroded Beaver Blade, all seemed to be in order. It is my strong recommendation that DR should attempt to enlist another repair shop for warranty work, as I, for one, would not be comfortable returning to Double M in the future.

We rented a UTV for a get together on a ranch an hour or so from Kerrville. The ranch had features really spread out across their land. Safari animals over lots of acreage and a gun range at the end of a couple mile flat dirt road. Given that the company forgot to give us a key for our rental! we didn't even use it two of the three days. We had to go meet someone halfway to get the key, so that sucked. The last day all we did was tour the property and go blow all the shells we had bought for three days and the gun range. We didn't do a damn thing on that vehicle that would have damaged its shocks. Maybe they were damaged on the ride over on the trailer, but even then that's not our fault. The shocks must have been worn to hell! How are you going to try to make us pay for it it's out of our control. You can't pin wear and tear on the last renter! We tried explaining ourselves but they weren't listening. You listening now?

I then find out that it was due to their repair guy half-ass trying to rig up a part to try and work that failed and caused 6 parts to have to be replaced. I guess the only good that came out of it was that they fessed up and replaced it all at no cost to me, but when I asked about how much labor/time and "parts" I had paid for the first time I was in there, I get nothing but a promise that the manager(s) would call me back to discuss it. Still waiting on that call....
