I have had to make two trips to the washateria in the meantime, and am going again today. This has cost another $30+. This has been my worst and most costly experience with appliance repair.

I followed him down our walkway, apologizing for requesting this and trying to explain the ordeal we went through, but he proceeded to ignore me getting into his van and took off up the road. Yes, the ice maker does now MAKE ice but now that I've gone to Mom's and cleared out all of the solid stuck ice pieces that were remaining in the ice maker from before, we realize that it is still not providing ice through the door mechanism. My Mother, at just shy of 90 years old, is now only 4'10" and cannot reach up to the top of the ice maker to 'fish' pieces of ice out. Repeated calls back to Adair's Appliances have only gotten me an answering machine and no call backs to set up service. So, unfortunately, I cannot recommend this local Kerrville business. Google reviews were mixed but I took a chance anyway. Sort of 'no harm, no foul' because the fellow was polite and he did reattach a small piece that needed to be reattached in order for the maker to make ice. He just wasn't tremendously thorough.
