I was told that it was time for a new laptop, the hard drive was gone. I wanted a second opinion and took it to MacTLC. Just WOW! If it was more complicated, I'd have to wait for the diagnosis Mon or Tues. I knew there was a bios setting that might fix the problem. Steve got in fast and fixed it. I took it home and plugged it in... PROBLEM SOLVED! This allowed me to sell the laptop the same day! AND he waived the $85 diagnostic fee! I was happy to learn they work on Macs (my daily driver), PCs or Linux machines. They do all sorts of repair, recovery, upgrades and new builds. When I was there, they were working on 2 seriously tricked out gaming PCs. It's hard to keep a small business running, and it's hard to find honest independent computer repair shops. These guys have helped me with my Mac computers twice. I have a 15 year old MacBook Pro that I…read morecould no longer update and the battery would not stay charged for long. They updated, expanded the memory and changed the battery for me also backed everything up to my exterior hard drive. Fast forward 2 years... My MacBook would no longer do any further updates so I called and talked to the techs and they confirmed that Apple is no longer supporting my "old" platforms, so a new Mac was my only answer. So after I set it all up, I took it to Syderware Tech to back up old MacBook and transfer my data to my new computer. All good! Will continue to go to these guys!
