Followed by the computer screen getting hot as FIRE and GLITCHED and could not be used for three days. Took it back to the service department and after being there for about a week, they found NOTHING wrong with it!! Then another week or two goes by and the LEMON starts jumping down the road. Take it back in and there were three plugs that were bad AND the ignition coil was also out and this all occurred within in a two month period of time. The vehicle spent a total of 30 days in the service department, and I felt that they owed us a car payment since they had it for month!!! So at this point, Andrew, the owner's son tells us "don't worry, if anything else goes wrong we'll put you into another vehicle". Well the last week of April 2026 the car started randomly turning off at red lights,and a message would pop up telling you to put the car in park and restart it, like seriously?¿!¡ This ALL occurred in approximately a two and a half month period. Well I spoke to Andrew, whom by the way is the owner's Son. He said he had never heard anything like the last issue but said don't worry, if anything else occurs he'd get us into another vehicle. Well my husband and I figured that they'd find something similar and get us into it. Not exactly true!! They had a 2019 (year older than the they sold us), granted it had 25K miles on it but the we have is a year newer with 50K miles and here's the kicker, they were trying to say that the MSRP is 29,000, so for 10 grand more, ya they'd get us into something else. What an absolute joke. So here we sit with a humongous and there's not a damned thing we can do about it!!! THANKS A LOT FREEPORT FORD!!!! Buyer beware when purchasing a used car from them and do yourself a favor, read all the negative reviews from different review sites. When we talked to Elizabeth Garage's front desk, each time they were unaware of what they were actually doing to the truck, concerning when dropping it off! When picking up the truck we were blown away by the price! With the owner gone on lunch break we had no choice but to pay. Then they didn't know where they parked the truck, which we eventually found across the street in a parking lot, unlocked with keys in the vehicle! Perfect situation for a theft!!!!!! Especially with personal belongings in the truck! After calling multiple other car repair shops INCLUDING Toyota, we were told that the part that was put in the truck wasn't even a Toyota part! On top of it, all car repair places were coming in over $100 cheaper! EVEN TOYOTA CAME IN CHEAPER WITH THE CORRECT TOYOTA PART! Walking back in there to talk to the owner, letting him know the price was outrageous and more than originally discussed, was basically told okay is what it is. No offer of reimbursement for the over charge! Telling them they lost multiple customers, they didn't care and said okay. They don't care about customer service or overcharging their customers. I even looked up the part on Amazon with the model number they wrote on the receipt and it is $125 - they charged me $350 for the part! We were told by the owner he marks up his products 75% after the job was completed. They lost not only a family with four vehicles, but we are going to let their current customers know that originally referred them. Even the store owners in town we talked to said they stopped going there because they are overpriced! This clearly isn't the first time... it's such a shame since we like supporting small business! I hope the owners read this review and realize what they are doing in overcharging their customers. I hope they work on their customer service and I truly hope they stop putting their customers cars across the street in an unattended parking lot, unlocked with keys in the car!

Guess what? 2nd day, $110 later, same sound. Took it back, was told it was something to do with the clutch in the alternator. Offered me a "break" to replace the alternator at $400!!! I said no thanks, replaced the alternator myself. Guess what? 2 bad diagnoses! Same sound. Turns out it's the belt tensioner and idler pulley. You would think a professional mechanic could have figured this out on the first try. I've been working on cars myself for over 30 years. Don't they have a stethoscope? Heck, I used a long screwdriver and a coffee can and figured it out pretty quick. Not cool! Not happy! Not going back!

I called a cleaning service or two which could not get to my car for a few days and would be very expensive. I then stumbled across JC's online, and I'm sure glad I did. I spoke with the owner, Justin, and he said he could get to my right away. They did a very through job getting my car dry and the best part is it only took one day! I picked up the car that night and was back on the road avoiding serious damage at a reasonable price.
