I really enjoy food, and eat out regularly. I have had many amazing meals over the years. This is to provide some context for what I am about to say. This was the best. Meal. Of. My. Life. Truly unbelievable. It is very difficult to get a reservation here. They seat only 22 people total. Two seatings per evening. We had to try every day for a few weeks and finally managed to grab two seats at the counter for the 8:45 seating on Saturday night. As it turned out we were seated exactly opposite the chef and his stove/oven. Every course was perfectly cooked. The wine was a perfect pairing, and we spent the entire evening speaking with the chef as he worked. Have never had a better meal. If you can get a table, do it. It will change your life. read more

One of the best meals we've had in years. Every dish was interesting, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The space is small, and we snagged a reservation right when they opened up a few weeks in advance, knowing this was a must-try spot for our trip to QC. So glad we did. The stand out dishes for us were the tortellini, the char appetizer, the anchovy snack, and the crab lettuce app. Everything was very fairly priced, and the couple of different wines we tried were excellent. The service was a bit frazzled, but they were pleasant and knew the menu intimately. We plan to try to get into their sister restaurant, Melba, today! read more

Great dining experience and it really was an experience, from start to finish. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming and made some good suggestions on what to order and how the menu works. The food was all very fresh and delicious and prepared beautifully. I also asked the waitress to make me a "fruity drink" and she winged it and made a fantastic, refreshing drink. Unfortunately, we were so full from all of the delicious food that we didn't have any room for dessert. I hope to be able to go back one day. 10/10 read more

Nous avons récemment tenté de réserver une table au restaurant Battuto pour une fin de semaine en amoureux et notre expérience a été extrêmement décevante. Après avoir réservé en ligne et saisi les informations de carte de crédit, nous pensions avoir eu la chance de pouvoir enfin goûter à ce restaurant prestigieux et très recherché. Lors de notre première tentative il y a quelques semaines, nous avons fait le déplacement jusqu'à Québec, seulement pour découvrir que notre réservation n'avait pas été enregistrée. Après de nombreux appels, impossible d'avoir un service au téléphone. C'est par Messenger qu'on nous a alors dit que nous n'avions probablement pas complété le processus de confirmation au complet, que nous avions oublié deux étapes supplémentaires. Cela a laissé ma conjointe très déçue et pleine de doutes. Elle avait pourtant réservé des dizaines de restaurants dans sa vie, comment avait-elle pu manquer des étapes ? Mais bon, l'erreur est humaine et nous nous sommes dit que la prochaine fois, nous porterions attention à ces étapes manquantes. Nous avons réessayé de réserver le 29 juin en suivant exactement le même processus, mais encore une fois, nous n'avons reçu aucune confirmation et la réservation n'a pas été enregistrée. De plus, il n'y avait aucune étape supplémentaire ; nous avions bien fait ça la première fois, le problème ne venait donc pas de nous. Nous avons contacté le restaurant par Messenger pour signaler le problème et demander une explication, mais nous n'avons reçu aucune réponse. Après avoir examiné les commentaires d'autres clients, il est clair que ce problème est récurrent et persiste depuis plusieurs mois. De nombreuses personnes ont vécu la même situation il y a plusieurs mois et n'ont également reçu aucune réponse. Cela montre que le restaurant est conscient du problème mais choisit de l'ignorer. Ce manque de réactivité et de fiabilité est inacceptable pour un établissement de cette renommée. C'est comme si les clients sont laissés à eux-mêmes, sans aucun soutien en cas de problème. Le restaurant semble se reposer sur sa popularité sans se soucier de l'expérience client. Ceux qui réussissent à obtenir une réservation doivent être comblés, et j'imagine que la nourriture et le service sont excellents. Cependant, si vous rencontrez des problèmes, que ce soit avec le système de réservation ou d'autres aspects, il est peu probable que vos préoccupations soient prises en compte. Ce qui est particulièrement frustrant, c'est que ce restaurant ouvre ses réservations pour plusieurs mois d'un coup, sachant très bien qu'en dix minutes tout sera réservé. Nous avons des vies de famille, nous devons nous organiser pour être disponibles au moment précis où les réservations s'ouvrent. Nous mettons une alarme, nous nous arrêtons sur l'heure du dîner en plein brouhaha familial un samedi pour essayer de dépenser notre argent durement gagné dans ce qui promet d'être une excellente expérience culinaire. Et malgré tout cela, lorsque le système ne fonctionne pas, nous n'avons même pas droit au respect d'une réponse. Le restaurant marche bien en ce moment grâce à sa popularité, mais s'ils continuent à ignorer les retours négatifs et les problèmes, cela pourrait leur nuire à long terme. Espérons qu'ils améliorent leur système et leur service client avant que cela ne devienne un problème plus grave. read more

Really amazing place. It's very hard to get into because of how small it is, but it's worth it if you keep trying. We happened to get in on the wait list because it was raining any they had some cancellation. I did try to get a reservation a month in advance with no luck. Thank goodness we got in as the servers and chefs were really nice. Food was amazing, on par with any Michelin restaurant but with less pretension. read more

Unfortunately we did not get to dine here. We had a quick trip to Quebec City and Battuto was recommended to us. We showed up on Thursday night to try to get a seat on the terrace. It was full but the waiter assured me that if I showed up on Friday 10 minutes before they opened that they would have a seat available for us. We planned our day around dining at Batutto on Friday and left our activities early to get there on time. We arrived 20 minutes early and before the restaurant even opened and the same waiter informed us that the terrace was fully booked. I reminded him that he told me to return the next day and he just said "I know". I was so disappointed and left with a bitter taste for Batutto. read more

Food was good, but just good. Not upscale. Presentation and the wait let you anticipate a fantastic meal, but it was just normal. Service was extremely slow (took 2 hours to get our second plate) but staff very friendly. Ambiance was great, small and cozy, also very chic & contemporary. Food was what disappointed me, really. I visited this restaurant on October 18th 2019 by myself, and reserved my spot 2 months in advance. I can't express In words just how much I enjoyed the entire experience demonstrated in this space. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an abundance of friendliness rapport. Amélie was a remarkable waitress behind the bar counter and never was without a smile. Guillaume was one of the owners who was behind the counter cooking and preparing the food effortlessly. I first started out with the arancini followed by the chicken liver parfait with marinated mushrooms and walnut oil ending with the bucatini rabbit ragu, pancetta, white wine, tomato and basil. No words...... my taste buds literally fell off my tongue dancing to a song of their own. Exquisite, simple, and defined are the best adjectives to describe the cuisine I experienced. My culinary evening came to an end when I finished off with the crostata dessert. WOW! I was sad I had to experience this culinary celebration alone but rest assured I will return so I can relive this experience with my partner. Keep on doing what you're all doing! read more

If you're looking for Chef Boyardee's macaroni and walmart's frozen cake, then go find yourself another place, cause the only thing you will find here is top quality food. The arancini's were delicious. I also had tuna as antipasti, which had great taste with great texture. At the end of my plate, I wished it was socially accepted to lick the plate. The butternut raviolis were tasty. Finally, I had pineapple Crostata di ricotta which was one of the best desert I had in my life. The restaurant is neet. The only thing that's better than their food is their service! Make a reservation ASAP!!!! read more

This is by far my favorite Italian restaurant. I have eaten in many Italian restaurants in Philadelphia and New York. Being Italian I am usually disappointed. The pasta here was made and cooked to perfection. I had the Lonza (cured pork loin) appetizer .. the best I have ever had and then pasta with a light Bolognese sauce .. superb!! My wife had the butternut Ravioli.. she said they were to die for... perfect. Finished it off with very tasty and light tiramisu with an espresso. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to return read more
