Went back at 7:00 the next morning and it was busy also, but ample machines were open. Cleanliness was a positive mentioned in reviews. I found it ok. machines seemed ok, walls need a good hosing down. You can pay with your cc at the machines and I'm dubious at best. For each load I did, the fee charged did not match the fee shown. Clothes were clean and that's all I cared about on this trip. Also, ample parking.

I chose Laundry Works because it is closest to my home, and in an extremely safe area. What I found was an extremely clean and quiet business. It wasn't as large a space as the ones I used in my 20s, but it wasn't busy (I was told this time of year with all the kids home from school it can be very busy), and I took up 3 machines with plenty free to use for others. What's new (to me) was that instead of taking quarters and bills, there were 2 "laundry card" machines that create and load money value to your card. These cards are swiped in the machines themselves & you load them up using debit or credit cards. Warning: These machines talk and they were startlingly loud. The business was very clean. There were two areas to sit at. A machine offering laundry supplies. And a machine that help snacks. This business also offers wash and fold services (see photos for prices). There are two sizes of both washers and dryers with different prices; the dryers you prepay by 10-minute increments. The brightest highlight of my experience was Leah, the nice nice lady who works there! She was friendly and very patiently helped me get acquainted with the place and the machines. She advised me on which sized machines I should use for each comforter, and since it wasn't busy, even helped me with my comforters. After spending an hour there, I almost wish I had a reason to go back semi regularly... and maybe I'll start bringing my comforters a little more often to clean. Thank you Leah! I have been going to this laundromat for a few years during the previous and now current owners and…read morehave always had a good experience until the morning of 02/16/2024. Every time I go I use the same washers and the same dryers. on a previous trip I noticed one of the dryers wasn't getting hot and it shut off. I took as a one off incident and on 2/16/2024 I used the same dryers. The same dryer that shut off the last time shut off again and when touching the glass it was not as hot as the other dryers around it. I alerted the male attendant who I believe to be the owner that something is wrong with the dryer, it's shutting off and it's not getting hot as my clothes were still damp. Instead of taking accountability after I told him my personal experience, he proceeds to tell me that he's been around these machines for 400+ days and that the dryer shuts off when things stick to the sides to prevent overheating and fires. I told him I don't over stuff the dryer and he said it has nothing to do with over stuffing the dryer. He then tells me I can't go by the heat on the glass because it's thick tempered glass and you have to go by the feel of the inside of the dryer. He restarts the dryer for an additional 15 minutes and walks off. At the 4 minute mark the dryer shuts off again and I open it and per what he said I tested the inside of the dryer, I find that my clothes are cold and the inside of the dryer is also cold. I then opened another one of the dryers that I used that day and that had been off for at least 10 minutes and those were still warm inside. If a dryer is working properly clothes should come out warm NOT cold and the inside would be warm NOT cold and that wasn't the experience. So I went back to the male attendant to once again notify him that the dryer isn't working properly. His reply was "well dryers cool down before they stop and are my clothes dry and if not find another dryer". Yes in fact dryers do cool down before they stop but not with 4 minutes left on the timer and it's not a freezer it doesn't cool down to cold. Also asking me if my clothes are dry doesn't negate the fact that the dryer still isn't working properly. BTW my close were not fully dry. It's unfortunate that my personal experience and observation was dismissed along with the attitude and lack of accountability I received. Im not a liar and as a business owner if a customer is letting you know that your equipment is faulty why would you dismiss it and not look into it especially since you lowered the drying time from 8 minutes to 5 minutes per 25 cents and when the dryer shuts off randomly the timer doesn't stop it keeps counting. More money to you but a loss to the customer when a machine doesn't work properly. If you patron this establishment watch your machines!

Anyway, I'd been to a few of these places before, for various reasons, some are decent enough. Rosie's is a bit on the smaller side, fewer machines than your usual place. BUT, the place is much nicer, a bit more comfortable. What I really do like is the card system they have, load money onto the card and use that, instead of having to fiddle around with a few dozen rolls of quarters. Makes things quite a bit simpler.
