a few months back i acquired a great deal on a 100wt panel at canadian tire and needed some closing…read morehelp making all components functional. i have an off grid trailer in Saskatchewan. this past summer the mvp for maximum fun was a recreational battery charger that has AV plugins, allowing dvd movie nights etc. i was charging it at home before going out. naturally i was a little intimidated to go into a high end pro shop like Solar Super Store with my modest set up. however the end result was some of the happiest i have been all this year. Dale was welcoming and positive. i totally benefitted from his skill and knowledge. there was no judgment at my small job situation. we problem solved a few things and in less than half an hour i walked out with a system set up that should radically benefit my off grid living. Dale drilled a few hooks and made it that the cord he sold me hooked strait up to the battery pack and the solar panel. i was really stoked and grateful from the solutions achieved. i look forward to accessing my independent system and feeling fantastic from it. i highly recommend solar super store. thanks again for the quantum good vibes!!

I told them I was looking for a battery for my car, they told me to pull around back. It's easy enough. It's an L shaped building so if you're facing Rocky's take the left around the building. They checked my battery. Brushed/cleaned the connectors. Replaced it with a good one. They take cards and cash. Prices are comparable to the big places so why not give your money more locally. Definitely visiting here for the next battery.

Friendly staff and the lobby is full of good old hockey memorabilia. It's also just down the street from Analog Brewing, so I might have to replace my vehicle batteries more often. I note someone else's review about a cheaper battery at Canadian Tire. I have tried that and you pay for what you get. Be sure you check the reviews on the battery. And if you think you get a warranty on the batteries there, it's not that easy. I tried that once too and after you pay for the battery check and re-installation they were going to charge me more to replace the battery under warranty than I paid for the battery in the first place. Best go to the independent business, good service is important to them.

When I explained to Cassandra,Branch Coordinator her replied was " TOUGH LUCK!" She was quite rude & not willing to have a compromise. His 1942 battery arrived, dry, and he needed it filled so took it to this place. The battery was stored in the garage, and as soon as winter hit, the battery exploded!!! Batteries don't explode when they freeze! And to make matters worse, the 70 year old case split because of it AND I have battery acid on my garage floor! Once my husband took everything apart, there was rust everywhere in the battery. His suspicions were confirmed, THEY MIXED WATER IN WITH THE ACID. Water is obviously cheaper than acid, and this time they must have mixed too much in. We obviously don't have receipt, so no point taking it back to the shop. Pictures to follow.

The advice was to get new tires next Winter due to excessive wear. I was shown the damage and completely agree. I use to work in a garage, so I know an old tire when I see it. The family owned business has been here for 50 years. I'm also glad they take pandemic precautions seriously. This is a nice team.
