Today was a "not quite" N size... and I'm glad I had a picture, because even working retail many moons ago and thought I knew my batteries - they knew exactly what I needed. For $5.25, I have another battery for my remote that will last another who knows how long. They have standardized on blister pack button cells and others, but have a good selection. We buy our motorcycle and gas scooter batteries here as well. They usually quote me a good price, so there's no reason to go anywhere else. They also offered to give our bike batteries that we had purchased from them a quick look-see charge and test in the spring to let us know if they wintered well. We keep them on a trickle charger on and off all winter in the basement, but I've had a few just give up and it's not a nice surprise on the first nice spring day to want to go for a ride and can't. Looking forward to the spring when they can get us vrooming again!

I paid $10 ea, and they lasted less than 1 year. I ordered the China ones on-line, and they were $2 each, and so far, have lasted 3 years. And they fit better, and are much nicer packaging. I did not know about their watch batter - Corona .... but anyone still afraid of that - REALLY?? Or it an excuse to not damage a watch. I get it, but say that, don't lie. For car batteries and UPS batteries, you have to talk to Mitch at Greenvolt: 780-984-2257. EVERY battery we have bought there - has been GREAT, and lasted a long time. Friendly staff and the lobby is full of good old hockey memorabilia. It's also just down the street from Analog Brewing, so I might have to replace my vehicle batteries more often. I note someone else's review about a cheaper battery at Canadian Tire. I have tried that and you pay for what you get. Be sure you check the reviews on the battery. And if you think you get a warranty on the batteries there, it's not that easy. I tried that once too and after you pay for the battery check and re-installation they were going to charge me more to replace the battery under warranty than I paid for the battery in the first place. Best go to the independent business, good service is important to them.

I told them I was looking for a battery for my car, they told me to pull around back. It's easy enough. It's an L shaped building so if you're facing Rocky's take the left around the building. They checked my battery. Brushed/cleaned the connectors. Replaced it with a good one. They take cards and cash. Prices are comparable to the big places so why not give your money more locally. I wrote this for google reviews, but may as well spread it around:…read more If you use these guys for an appliance repair, you can rest assured they will be late - even for an all-day appointment - if they bother to show up at all. I've had this company do a number of appliance repairs at my rental unit. They have never once been on time ("on time" being at least a 4 hour appointment window). They don't call. They schedule all day appointments, then no-show and no-call. They were supposed to install a control board in my 2 year old washing machine this afternoon (purchased from Appliance Outlet, of course), that has been non-functional for three weeks now. "Between 1 and 5", they said. When I hadn't heard from anybody all afternoon, I called them to make certain someone was coming, which they reassured me someone was. So I waited. And waited. Nobody showed up. Nobody called. I didn't hire them, and wouldn't, but the property manager seems to like using them. I have now told her not to send them over again. It would probably have cost me less to hire someone reliable myself to fix the machine than the value of the time I've lost sitting around waiting for chronic lates and no-shows. Don't hire these people for your repairs. Don't buy anything from them. They're patently unreliable. Note: Yelp for some ridiculous reason places my location in California in spite of my attempts to correct it. I'm in Edmonton.
