Absolutely horrible, my grandmother went in for a new battery for her key the manager was very rude, racist, towards her and i believe he charged her extra fees for it. Never again don't send your elderly family members in there they will cheat them out of money and the manager flat out disrespectful. read more

My mower wouldn't start this morning - the battery was showing only 9 volts on my multimeter. I tried charging the battery, but it wouldn't charge. I had purchased this AGM battery 8 months ago in hope of getting a more rugged battery, as I was tired of replacing batteries every year. The battery I chose had move than enough power to start my mower and was designed for deep discharge (I had used them for marine purposes in the past). Though this battery was actually designed for scooters/wheelchairs, etc., it served my needs well for 8 months. This battery also came with a 12 month warranty (though I would later find out this warranty was pro-rated, a fact not disclosed when I made my purchase). The store employee was fully aware of my intentions for the application of the battery and had no issues whatsoever. I went to the Battery Source store in Ocala to get a replacement battery. I had the extreme displeasure of having to work with the manager of the store. Instead of simply saying the battery was defective, here's what I can do for you, he went on and on about how this battery was not designed for a mower (duh). He was convinced he had to convert my thinking to match his idea of how I was at fault. Never mind the fact that the battery had an internal defect. I was a bad person for misusing his battery (or something to that effect). He wouldn't stop hammering me with that point. He didn't want to address the warranty until I told him to just stop talking and get to the replacement. It was the I found out the warranty was pro-rated and a replacement would cost me $70 (retail was $100). The best, most powerful, maintenance-free battery at Lowe's was only $65! I informed him that Battery Source had lost a customer forever due to his attitude that the manager is always right and the customer is an idiot who needs to be educated. I have been dealing with batteries from the days of carbon cell flashlight batteries. I know what a hydrometer is and how it was used to measure a lead-acid battery's condition (the closest thing to a multimeter was a Simpson (about $1000 in today's dollars)). I have used/replaced/designed for just about every battery type that has been available for more that 60 years. I highly recommend that you find another store for your battery needs. read more

I went to the Battery Source on SR200 after being quoted $45 by a private business down the street for a new watch battery. What a joke! Battery Source charged me only $10 and told me that is their charge for all watch batteries! I'm all for supporting mom and pops, like I was initially going to do, but NOT to the point of their completely ripping off the public! read more

Worst experience ever, got totally ripped off. Do not go here even if it's your last choice. I told them what the problem was, it was a frayed cable that had burned off, They said they would call and let me know how much it would be, next day they called and said to come pick up the cart was fixed and it was $181.00 and I went to the store and asked them why they haven't called me with a price before doing the work and they claimed they didn't know what to charge until they did the work!!!! all they did was crimp the wire back on and wrap black tape on it, they didn't even replace the wire, I paid and left, the next day the wire burned off again. they didn't bother to find a cause they just wanted to drain my pockets, thieves. Do not go there!!! Beware!!! Bought a battery for my motorcycle in 2018 and the battery would not take a charge after a few months. Took the battery back and told me the battery was two years old and if not charged once every few days the battery will go dead! So they said they could not help me because the battery has a six month warren tee! Bottom line they sold me an old battery in 2018 that was made in 2016.No other consideration was taken. They turned there backs and i just walked out !!!! Went to Auto Zone (they were very helpful) and checked the battery there and found it has a dead or bad cell and that is why the battery will not hold a charge. bought a new battery from Auto zone and it is strong and holds a charge!!! Battery Source can say anything to save themselves but i know the truth!!!! read more
