Great service for a fair price. I had no appointment but Sean had me back on the road in no time. Would definitely recommend Battery Depot.

After purchasing a battery earlier in the year (less than 6 months of use) I started getting the "low battery charge" on my dash. I stopped by to ask about my warranty, bringing along my original receipt and the first thing they said was it was my starter. Without running any diagnostics. Like Dr House and his quick claims, it wasn't my starter. But now that I see they often claim that to people, makes sense, I guess. After taking my car to the Volvo dealership and having them run multiple tests, they printed out several time stamped diagnostics of the battery and turns out, it was failing. So, why not take back my battery to where i purchased it with its warranty. Well, I was met with hostility, I was asked why "I trust Volvo over them, because they've been in the battery business for 40+ yrs.", maybe it's because a real diagnosis was given! Not just looking at it. It's okay you know, batteries fail, all of them. That seems to be a new concept to people who have been in the "battery business for 42 years". Then they took of picture of my plate and said, "I never want to see you or this car again and you no longer have a warranty on your battery", which they wrote all over my battery replacement. Hysterical, nice business acumen. We'll see how the BBB likes their acumen.

Had an alternator rebuilt through Indian River Battery and it lasted 20k miles before I spent the extra money for an OE. That was once. Today was twice. Had to pull another alternator from Indian River Battery with only 40k miles on it. Was I annoyed when I walked into the store? Yes. Was I apprehensive to return to the store after the previous incident? Yes, but I did as a matter of convenience. Nope, waste of time. The late founder's widow couldn't handle my curtness and, rather than attempt to alleviate the situation, met my curtness with equal curtness. Now that would be fair if she were my wife, but as representative of a business? Yeah, I don't think so. I didn't curse. I didn't yell. I simply expressed my displeasure through the tone of my voice in having to tear apart half an engine because of a lemon alternator for a second time. If I have to pay a bit more for an alternator that will last at least 100k, I guess I'm off to Rock Auto or MoparPartsGiant to see who can get me on the road quickest. It is abundantly clear Indian River Battery does not need my business any longer.

As the associate began to uninstall my old battery customers started to come in one by one. I understand he had to attend to the customer that just walked in, but i was made to wait an extremely long time for my battery installation, and i was also a customer and one who had in advanced paid and spent almost $300. I should have been re attended to after the customer was taken care of, rather than left waiting outside for almost if not 20 minutes, while customers kept coming in. When the batteries plus associate was quickly lowering the new battery to install it into my car, he slammed it onto the metal clip that holds the engine air filter compartment shut, causing the plastic bottom that holds the clip in place to break off, and the clip fell off underneath the vehicle, we both heard it. The associate got down onto the ground and found the clip on the floor and proceeds to tell me and i quote "I did not do that, It was already broken." Even though I was standing right there watching him the whole time installing the battery and saw him break it when he quickly slammed the battery onto it. Also, there is no way possible the clip would've held on with nothing holding it during the entire ride to batteries plus if it was broken already before hand as he claimed. He definitely broke it there and then. I can't replace that part since its part of the engine air filter housing itself, and that whole part would have to be replaced to resolve the issue. I wouldn't have bothered to write a complaint over the wait time, though that was poorly handled, but the fact that he not only broke a piece in my car, but then wasn't even honest or apologetic about it made me definitely have to write a complaint about it. unfortunately, the receipt does not show the associates name, the only thing i see close to a name is "danwil". I won't take my vehicle here for anything again after this experience

March 10, 2026 St…read more Lucie Battery and Tire - Truck & Car Service Center 1888 SW Bayshore Ave Port Saint Lucie, FL 34984 772‑807‑5517 Attn: Mr. Sanchez Good Afternoon Mr. Sanchez, My name is Chianti Morris, owner of a 2018 Mazda CX‑5. I am writing to formally request a resolution regarding the ongoing issues with my vehicle's air conditioning system--issues that I initially brought to SLBT in October and that were supposed to be fully resolved with the repair completed in December. I first visited SLBT because my AC was no longer blowing cold air. On October 14, Marc and Jon recharged the system; however, the AC failed again shortly afterward. I returned ten days later, and dye was added to help identify any potential leaks. When the system failed again approximately one-two week later, I returned once more. At that time, SLBT inspected the vehicle and provided an estimate of about $1,900 (Invoice #110025312). I approved the repair, which was completed on December 26. During the repair process, I was informed that the job would be labor‑intensive and require removing the entire dashboard. Because this is my family's only vehicle and SLBT stated that the repair would take approximately seven days, I had to rent a car. Marc accounted for the rental cost in the overall repair amount. Unfortunately, shortly after the repair, I began experiencing several issues, including dashboard error messages and repeated AC failures. The front passenger vent stopped blowing, unusual sounds coming from the vent, and there was no airflow at the feet, and eventually the system stopped producing airflow altogether on and off. I returned to SLBT, where the codes were cleared, and I was told the system was functioning properly at that time. This situation has become extremely frustrating and more frequent when the AC does not work properly. I have made multiple attempts to have the issue addressed, but I continue to feel dismissed, despite the fact that the AC has never worked properly since the December repair. I have video documentation showing the AC attempting to run but failing--producing only the sound of airflow without any air actually moving through the vents. It also emits a high‑pitched metallic noise from the passenger side, and as if something inside the unit is struggling to turn over. Today was the final straw. While driving to a college tour in Lakeland, the AC stopped blowing air altogether. I attempted to restart it multiple times. It would work for 20 minuted and then stop working. The interior of the vehicle became extremely hot, and the cabin was noticeably cooler with the windows down verses the AC being set to 60 degrees on high output. Not only is this inconvenient, but it is unacceptable after such a costly and extensive repair. I am requesting a full and proper resolution to this ongoing issue. I trusted SLBT to repair my AC correctly, yet nearly three months later, I am experiencing the same problems--if not worse--than before the repair. I have attached video clips that may help illustrate what I have been dealing with since December. Please contact me within the next 2-3 days so we can determine appropriate next steps and resolve this matter promptly and professionally. Sincerely, Mazda-cx-5 owner
