Today I was in Batteries Plus in Stuart on S.E Federal Hwy for a watch battery replacement. The young man who was happy to replace the battery cranked on the back of my watch for about 4 minutes when I commented to him, that it looks like he was having a hard time and that I didn't want him to scratch the watch. The callous "young man" told me "It's only the back of the watch." My heart dropped on hearing these words. I asked for the watch back and as I walked out, I looked at the back of the watch. He had put 14 scratches on the backplate and damaged the frame. Yes, I counted the scratches as his arrogance ran through my mind. I walked back and showed him the scratches he put into my watch. He blamed the watch, and immature move, instead of taking ownership of his failure. Now my pristine watch looks like it has been through a war. To add to my injury, this insensitive "young man" could not even say he was sorry. read more

Batteries Plus is the Go-To store. The poor reviews are a misnomer. I have been using the Stuart and Jupiter store for over 10 years now and they are great. A cell phone battery will only last as long as the manufacturer "allows" a generic battery to work. If you want the brand name battery, you need to order it through them in order to get the battery that will last as long as if it were new. The bad review from another review chose the generic brand. read more

Terrible store, terrible policy. We have been making businesses purchases with this store for years. Recently made an online purchase, received notes to pick up. I went to the store to pick up the purchase we paid for online, had to show ID and was refused my order because the name did not match, Again It is for a business. How is a business able to obtain and ID if it is not physically not an individual. The manager Alec, lacks any customer service or people skills, absolutely rude and unprofessional. It is better to just order on amazon then go into this store. Too busy texting on his phone than focusing on proper customer service. This store will no longer have our business!! read more

Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They are also patient. I watched them help a very combative lady and they maintained a cool attitude. She made a mistake buying a battery, when it was her charger that was bad and she didn't bring the charger in to be tested. Great job. read more

If I could give this store a negative star review I would! I have purchased several sets of batteries from them in the past, but most recently purchased 2 750CCA batteries for my Excursion in April 2020. I took my truck to my mechanic because the battery light was on in my dashboard. He tested the batteries and the alternator, determining that one of the batteries was bad, as well as my alternator. I took the defective battery to the store, who put it on there handle tester and said that there was no problem with the battery. I returned to the mechanic with this news and he again tested the battery, with a much larger tester that uses 2 different types of load testing and again the battery failed on the second test. These people DO NOT stand behind their products! Avoid at all costs!!! Will never use them again, as I told the woman when I left the store. She didn't care!!! read more

Their repair guy is rude, crude and tried to give me some BS about needing a case to hold the screen on. He was as helpful as a heart attack. This is one of the most appalling experiences I've had with a company hands down. My 3 year warranty battery died after a year and a half in my truck. I took it in to have it replaced and they said they had to charge it to test it (seems backwards...if it's dead why would you charge it? Then it won't be dead anymore...) They had to keep it overnight to do this so I was forced to leave a $200 battery overnight with no transportation. Not sure how anyone who didn't have a ride or other way to get home would have handled this ridiculous process. So I called back in the morning to find out how it tested and a different gentleman said he didn't know anything about it and would check on it (lie #1) He then came back to say he was there yesterday and tested it and told me it was a good battery (lie #2...why would I have left the battery if they tested it and said it was good???) I called him out and explained that was a lie and he said "oh yea we tested it when you weren't here" Regardless, I still know the battery is bad and they don't want to replace it. He then gets his manager on the phone who asks for my info...I asked shy she was handed a phone with no previous information and she said no he had given her a brief explanation so I asked why I needed to go over it again and she didn't like that. Then she lied to me and said nobody who was there now was there yesterday so they weren't sure what was happening. When I called her out on that lie she hung up on me for "accusing her" of things that weren't true. The continuous lies to get out of replacing a battery they're responsible for are ridiculous. The manager Kirsten hung up on me 3 times and I still have absolutely no battery. I can't even get her to speak to me like an adult without lying. All she does is say stop accusing me and hangs up. I tried to explain if she'd stop lying we could discuss the actual problem but she was very offended that I had the nerve to call them all out on their continuous lies. Do not ever go here, go to Autozone where they actually care about doing their job and not doing everything possible to get out of doing their job. read more

I purchased a new battery for my truck 5 yrs. ago in Jupiter from the owner Dave T. I needed another one and called him, we live in Port St. Lucie and he informed us he had another store in Stuart, Fl. to hold and he would check stock with them, He informed me they had my battery and were waiting for me to come down. They installed it in my truck. My husband also purchased a new generator battery from them. They have batteries in stock for anything you could imagine.
