Had an appointment on 11/18/25 @ 10am to get a New battery installed in My vehicle. Come to find out I was scheduled when only one person was staffed. As the associate began to uninstall my old battery customers started to come in one by one. I understand he had to attend to the customer that just walked in, but i was made to wait an extremely long time for my battery installation, and i was also a customer and one who had in advanced paid and spent almost $300. I should have been re attended to after the customer was taken care of, rather than left waiting outside for almost if not 20 minutes, while customers kept coming in. When the batteries plus associate was quickly lowering the new battery to install it into my car, he slammed it onto the metal clip that holds the engine air filter compartment shut, causing the plastic bottom that holds the clip in place to break off, and the clip fell off underneath the vehicle, we both heard it. The associate got down onto the ground and found the clip on the floor and proceeds to tell me and i quote "I did not do that, It was already broken." Even though I was standing right there watching him the whole time installing the battery and saw him break it when he quickly slammed the battery onto it. Also, there is no way possible the clip would've held on with nothing holding it during the entire ride to batteries plus if it was broken already before hand as he claimed. He definitely broke it there and then. I can't replace that part since its part of the engine air filter housing itself, and that whole part would have to be replaced to resolve the issue. I wouldn't have bothered to write a complaint over the wait time, though that was poorly handled, but the fact that he not only broke a piece in my car, but then wasn't even honest or apologetic about it made me definitely have to write a complaint about it. unfortunately, the receipt does not show the associates name, the only thing i see close to a name is "danwil". I won't take my vehicle here for anything again after this experience read more

Buyer Beware. I brought my daughter's iPhone in for a screen repair and paid over $100 dollars for it but it got scratched the next day and was barely dropped in a protective bag a month later and the whole screen shattered. They say they have a 6 month warranty but it doesn't cover damage even though the glass is clearly cheap and defective. I'm going to have to pay for another repair but definitely not doing it here. read more

Sunday 09/17/22 Went into store after calling for battery for a key fob they said they would install. After showing him the fob, he after 2 minutes and not even trying, said he couldn't do it. I went to AutoZone around the corner and they had the battery installed within 4 minutes of me walking in and at $6.00 less than Batteries Plus. I think it was this particular store with an employee with a bad attitude as I have had good service at Batteries Plus in Lake Worth, but this needed to be said. I took my iPhone 11 to Batteries Plus Bulbs because it fell onto a tile floor and the back cracked. They kept my phone for over a week, told me they broke something but were replacing it and complained to me that as a result they were not making any money on my repair. They charged me almost $200 to replace the back. The phone has never been the same since. The volume buttons get stuck, the screen separated along the side and intimately I had to buy a new phone. Now that I have the new phone I can't get the SIM card out of my damaged phone. I will never take a phone to them for repair ever again. read more

In the past, I've gone to Batteries and Bulbs for replacement batteries in my uninterrupted power supply units. I'd bring in the unit, and they'd swap out the battery in a friendly and professional manner. Yesterday, I brought in a unit that had one of their batteries that didn't last very long. First, I discovered they hadn't put my information in their computer for warranty purposes, and then the manager, Jordan Shupe, said he didn't want to open the unit to check the date on the battery. When I told him I was willing to buy a battery if the one inside wasn't covered under warranty, he said, "We close at 8, and that's when I'm leaving." It was 7:39 PM at that point. From the employees at this store, I've always gotten friendly and professional service. From the manager, I get the kind of attitude that suggests my business is not wanted or appreciated. One time when I was there Jordan asked what I do for a living, and I told him I work for an organization that promotes manatee conservation. His response was to go on a 10 minute rant of how much he hates manatees and how stupid they are. The manger of this store should not be interacting with customers. He has the wrong attitude to work in retail. If he's ever replaced, give me a shout and I'll be happy to go back. read more

Do not bring your iPhone to this store to be fixed. I brought my phone to this store to have the cracked screen replaced. I had a 1:30 appointment and the tech said my phone would be ready at 3:30. I returned at 3:30 and he said he broke the selfie portion of the camera. Since I don't take selfies I said that was okay that I just wanted the screen replaced. He said he would replace the screen and to come back at 5:30. I went back at 5:30 and he said he broke the entire phone, but the manager would make it right and buy me a new iPhone 7. When the refurbished I phone 7came in 3 days later he tried to charge me $100. Basically making me pay for the new phone he purchased. Poor business practices and poorly run store. read more

Worst customer experience! My car battery was dead and I was told by 3 MECHANICS it was a defective battery. This store, the assistant manager specificallly, would not warranty the (one year old) battery. Do not waste your time or money here, it's not worth the few dollars you might save, worst experience ever Update: According to Frank M's response below, the opinion of three different mechanics are not as reliable as a test performed by an employee who has no practical experience. I suppose replacing the battery and showing it works is also not definitive proof. Congratulations Batteries Plus, all this over $120. These guys are a joke, and their corporate response proves it. Do NOT buy a car battery from this business. They sell you a product and do not stand behind it. I bought a car battery a year ago with a two year warranty. I had two mechanics test my battery and tell me that the battery was bad. Batteries plus would NOT honor the warranty and replace it. Definitely contacting the BBB after this. read more

I am sorry for doing this but do not buy watch batteries in this store. I purchased 4 "lifetime warranty" on my watches. When I went to replace the batteries they damaged 2 of my watches and lied. The manager said it was not like that when he gave it back to me. I showed it to him at the counter. How low can someone be. They won't even reimburse me for the battery purchase. Think twice before buying your Motorcycle batteries here? We'll see... I bought a Duracell motorcycle battery for my BMW R100GSPD motorcycle at Batteries Plus in Vero Beach about a year and a half ago. The battery was not holding a charge and it left me stranded last weekend. It is a two year warranty on the Duracell gray battery. Last weekend, I ended up on the side of the Interstate 95 in a dangerous situation and in the heat for close to three and a half hours. (A multi car accident and serious SUV rollover occurred 1/4 mile from my location same side of the road as I waited on the side for AAA to arrive.) Today, I took the Duracell 400 battery back to the shop to ask for a replacement under warranty and the clerk in the beard told me it would take "20 hours" for them to fully test and do all of the diagnostics on the battery before they would honor the two year warranty. This is for $159 motorcycle battery. Do you think an auto parts store would be able to get away with not honoring the warranty on the battery if that was their clients only set of wheels? I guess I will know in 20 hours whether they're going to honor the Duracell replacement. I can recommend that if this is the policy you would be better off buying a battery anywhere else. Perhaps, I shouldn't leave my motorcycle battery needs to people that sell camera and laptop batteries. I will report back on this episode. Is the Manager following this? I know a lot of other motorcycle riders. UPDATE: They charged the battery and said it was still able to hold a charge and it was not replaced. We'll see if it fails again. read more

I have bought a lot of batteries from Batteries Plus but will have a real tough time buying another. On 3/28/2019 I bought a car battery for a car that doesn't get used much, but does get started at least once a month. In July, I had to jump the car to get it started and let it run a half hour to charge the battery. Two weeks later I went to start the car and the battery was DEAD! Pulled it out and took it to Batteries Plus, where they said they had to "charge and test" it for 24 to 36 hours. They called and said it was good to go. I let it set in the trunk of my car for 24 hours and the voltage has already dropped over half a volt to 12.7V. I am an electronic technician and electrical engineer and I know the battery has a shorted plate in it, but getting them to warranty it is next to impossible, some kid who thinks he knows everything about batteries says this is normal! You would think a company would honor it's warranties!!!! read more
