Friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful!! The key fob on my 2015 honda was showing signs of what I thought was a dead battery, but after several attempts to replace the battery myself, I was still having trouble getting it to work. A friend recommended Batteries Plus on Atlantic Ave, so before I ventured to the dealership and paying the premium prices they charge for everything, I decided to give them a try. They told me after examining the key fob, that the circuit board was the problem, and that it was going to malfunction and drain any battery I tried to put in. It was time to replace the key fob. Batteries Plus was able to offer me a significant savings and were able to order the fob from a nearby location, cut me a new key and reprogram it, and I was back on the road!! read more

Went through 2 batteries for the motorcycle due to incompetence and lack of caring for the customer from the store manager. When picking up the second, Terrence was thorough and kind in making sure the battery I was buying was in A+ condition. During this transaction, an elderly man came in the store with a Worx 20v that he wanted to replace. The same manager, after 'searching' on his computer, told the gentleman that they don't sell it and he doesn't know who does. I spoke to the gentleman and told him it was a rechargeable battery and how to do so. Why do so many people treat elderly people like they don't know anything? It would have taken a moment of grace for the employee to have assisted. Only work with Terrence at the Sturtevant store!! He was wonderful. read more

I've been meaning to write a review for over a week now, for...Joe, I believe is his name. I walked into this batteries plus after having tried for 3 years to have a surround sound speaker fixed. The input for the digital coax cable had broken off inside and no electronics store, or radio shack was able or even tried to fix it. When I walked into batteries plus Joe came out and took a look and then went to find some tools. He had the thing fixed in about 5 min. He didn't even charge me! Not saying you should go there for free services but they went above and beyond to help me. On a side note a year or so ago my boyfriend took my car remote to get the battery changed and I had already purchased a battery elsewhere. They changed my battery also at no charge. These guys are awesome if you need batteries please come give these guys a visit! read more

My cellphone died, I panic, rushed to Verizon Wireless store. They did not fix the problem. Rushed over to Batteries Plus Bulbs, Andrew Joyner was super. My phone is working properly now. Shoutout to Andrew and the company. Andrew gave me some amazing tips on how to get a lot of use out of my phone battery. They also had amazing dogs light up toys. The people that work here are GREAT! I had a car place quote me around $400 for a car battery I stopped by here and they had one for less than $150 and installed it for me! They even replace watch batteries! I stopped by over the weekend and they replaced a watch better for me in less than 10 minutes and didn't even charge me for it. So nice. Great customer services. Besides every battery and bulb needed, they fix cell phones!!! Yes indeedy, I got my cracked screen replaced today. Dropped it off in the morning, and before noon I had an email that it was ready. (Not that I managed to escape work until way later though to get it). And once again, I experienced nothing but friendly efficient service here. I wanted to thank Battery Plus on Atlantic Ave. I had the pleasure of working with Antonio, Curtis. I had my jeep Cherokee which is the first car I've ever owned that had a fob. When I bought the jeep last week the guy who sold it to me I had to fobs he ordered off line. It would not unlock the doors, I was told it needed new batteries. Anyway Antonio and Curtis figured out what was wrong. They help me out without making me feel stupid for asking dumb questions which I did! These guys were able to replace the batteries in two car keys so I could resume locking and unlocking my car remotely. The batteries had died, but my local Ace Hardware AND the car's local dealership had both said they were unable to replace the batteries. So, give it to the folks at Batteries + Bulbs. They did the job, and for $9 a key. The car dealer said they could replace the keys, but that would have cost me over $200 a key. I'm sold on these folks. read more

Batteries Plus Bulbs is a winner! My dealership, ignition key had been "acting funny." The response time has increasingly been delayed. I thought about taking it to the dealership, but it occurred that there was likely a weakening battery vs it being broken. It took 4 trips to the store and a trip to separate auto repair shop for them to honor a warranty on a car battery purchased a year ago. The car had to be jumped started each time after a cold night. The first two times we were sent away stating the battery was tested OK but it wouldn't hold a charge overnight for the last several days after a cold night. Took it to shop that specializes in my type of car and they tested the battery, checked for drains and load tested the battery which fail. Took it back to your store and showed the customer service rep the paperwork from the repair shop and he stated that he couldn't go off the repair shop diagnosis and stated I could have made up the service report which was insulting. He also stated that the store would go out of business if they honored every warranty request. read more

Went in to buy a simple and cheap battery for my car key fob, when I asked to buy one they gave me a battery with a label on it saying "not for individual sale" the price they charged was also considerably high compared to the last time I bought one. When I looked on their website I didn't even see a 1 pack for the battery I had bought, only 2 packs, which were listed as the exact price I was charged for just one. They basically charged me twice as much for just a single battery. read more

Okay, I am a geezer. I went into the store for a $5.00 replacement phone battery with five employees behind the counter and one other customer. There was a kind of frat boy vibe with no individual prepared to help me for some reason. The guy on the phone (loudly?) said "We'll be with you in a moment" Finally after a looong minute one guy spun around and said "Can I help you?" I gave him the battery and he reached up and grabbed a replacement from the wall behind the cash register. That's when the trouble started. Him: Do you have an account? Me: No Him:What is your phone number? Me: I don't think you need that for a cash transaction. Keyboard clackety clackety clackety. Him: Please press the button on the screen to signify whether this is a business or personal purchase. Me: I came here to buy a battery, not to get data mined. Him:Just press a button. I can't open the drawer until you do. Me: Do you want to see how many nuisance phone calls I already get everyday? (waving my cellphone) Him:I don't care, just press a button. Me: No, keep your battery, I'm outta here. I left. Bought my battery at Best Buy. If you want to buy batteries from people with an attitude this is your kind of place. They have what you want if you can wade through the hassle. Back in the good ole days, I got the same Radio Shack mail catalog at three different addresses because of this kind of junk data storage and seems to me Radio Shack is gone and forgotten nowadays.
