Needed a mini fuse for my truck and it was the 4:30 rush hour this getting to an auto parts store was going to be difficult. Batteries Plus was close so decided to see if they might have a replacement fuse. I drove up they weren't very busy and yes they had the replacement fuse I needed. They even had a multi pack of different amp mini fuses which I decided to buy and put in my truck in case this happened again. I took my iPhone in to get a new battery. It took about an hour and everything was great. After a couple of hours I noticed the phone kept randomly shutting down and restarting. I called and explained the situation and was told to bring it back and they would take a look. Turned out one of the cables inside the iPhone was damaged and needed to be replaced. They replaced the damaged cable at no additional cost. read more

Needed to recycle lithium batteries....a google check, and then further confirmation on the company's website, sent me on the 15 mile drive here. AND....I also called this specific location before I started off--the young man on the phone confirmed that they would take the batteries. You guessed it. When I got there, the manageress did not accept them. Worse, at first she said she would, since she overheard her staffer on the phone to me, saying they would. In mid-conversation, she changed her mind, and directed me to a "recycling day, over in Meridian." Unfortunately, she's lost a potential customer for not only her store, but the entire chain. read more

I strongly reccomend that you think twice about having an iPhone battery replaced by this shop, or any Batteries Plus Bulbs/We Fix It Phone Repair for that matter. They do not use Apple batteries but they also do not tell you that (even in the fine print of their contract)... All of the folks that I encountered at the counter were friendly, helpful and courteous. I have an iPhone SE (2020) that needed a new battery. I made an appointment on-line, then delivered the phone on time. They tested the phone and everything worked. They called telling me the phone was ready early - nice! They handed me the phone and started ringing up the sale. I opened the phone and the system preferences showed a red badge which can indicate anything from an update that is available to a problem. In this case, it indicated a problem with the new battery - specifically that the battery was not being recognized by the phone. This also meant that the iPhone Battery Health program would not function correctly so I had no way to determine future battery condition. (I have Apple's statement regarding the Battery Health program below) I told them that this was not acceptable and that I wanted my old battery re-installed, however, they could not do that because apparently in the normal process of removing the old battery they have to bend it which damages the battery and re-installing the old battery would create a fire hazard. Batteries Plus Bulbs refused to make it good in any way. My choices were to either (1) take the phone with a battery that is not fully compatible with the iPhone (Battery Health function not working) and pay full price, or (2) take the phone without the battery (and not pay anything). I elected to take the phone without a battery. I have no way to determine if in fact the phone is still working correctly until a compatible battery is installed. Plus now, wherever I take it, the shop will not be able to test the phone before working on it. I will let them know it was Batteries Plus Bulbs that left me in this position... To the manager who said "the only thing not working is the [iPhone] Battery Health program", implying that this is not an important function of the phone, here is what Apple says: "Battery Health All iPhone models include fundamental performance management to ensure that the battery and [the] overall system operates as designed and internal components are protected. This includes behavior in hot or cold temperatures, as well as internal voltage management. This type of performance management is required for safety and expected function, and cannot be turned off. With a low battery state of charge, a higher chemical age, or colder temperatures, users are more likely to experience unexpected shutdowns. In extreme cases, shutdowns can occur more frequently, thereby rendering the device unreliable or unusable. This performance management works by looking at a combination of the device temperature, battery state of charge, and battery impedance. Only if these variables require it, iOS will dynamically manage the maximum performance of some system components, such as the CPU and GPU, in order to prevent unexpected shutdowns. As a result, the device workloads will self-balance, allowing a smoother distribution of system tasks, rather than larger, quick spikes of performance all at once. In some cases, a user may not notice any differences in daily device performance. The level of perceived change depends on how much performance management is required for a particular device." Took my iPad in there for new glass. They told me it would be ready next day by 5. That day came and went with no call from them. When I called to make sure it was ready, I learned that they broke the only screen they had in stock and had to order another one. Had I not followed up, they weren't gonna tell me. Ended up leaving it there over the weekend. They didn't get the screen until Tuesday and repair was completed Tuesday afternoon. Six days for screen replacement and $120 later. I later found out when I got home that the home button doesn't work now either. I'm using assistive touch because I sure as hell didn't want to bring it back there! read more

Every time I go in there's always some complication with the product or service I am trying to buy. From cracked batteries to delay after delay. I haven't left a review yet but after I went to get a key cut I felt compelled to do so. I paid to have the key cut on a new fob for my car. The cutting did not work and ruined a fob that I can now no longer use nor return. When they employees (it took 4 of them to start cutting it) began to cut the key, one said "I hope this works" and the other replied "Doesn't matter if it does; it's not our fob". Yes, but it's my fob. I am a customer paying for a service and want it done with care. The service was not provided; the cut was not successful or usable. It's like paying a plumber to install a toilet and it doesn't work. The employees kept saying "there's nothing we can do about it" and that they "provided the service". You did not provide the service if it does not result in me being able to use or benefit from that service. read more
