Within 3 days, the battery failed. A trip back to Batteries Plus resulted in a "test" and reset instructions on a YouTube site. All done until the battery failed again within a week. I used to go to the woodward location (now closed) so now I come to this location. These guys are great when it comes to not just batteries but how to get into devices to replace them. Those devices where it's not obvious or needs special tools. I have gotten everything from a car remote, to a car battery to a laptop battery here. They have dome special orders and have always been very helpful. I also get my AA, AAA, and 9 volt batteries here. It's a tad more expensive than the dollar store, but batteries are definately a "get what you pay for" item. Never been dissapointed here. read more

My annual visit to BatteriesPlus did not disappoint. I had multiple items needing help. A watch battery, a garage door opener getting weak and then two devices I could not get open to replace the batteries myself. An Oximeter and a TV remote - turning eighty soon and my arthritic hands could not open them, and I would tell you the man who helped was so helpful to show me where the pressure was needed to make it happen. It's 2023 and this is service that borders on extinct. I would not go anywhere else but BatteriesPlus. But heads up, I did ask if he opened pickle jars and he said "no". Disappointed I had an appointment last Thursday 12/12 and was called to notify me that they did not have the part (a screen for a Samsung Galaxy S8, one of the most popular phones ever sold). My appointment was rescheduled to 12/17, 5 days later. I phoned to make sure they had stock on the part as I had heard nothing from the store. They still did not have the part. The gentleman at the store fumbled around and said the person who places the order simply failed to do so. Then, he told me that it wasn't ordered because they were on back order. He said they get their shipments on Tuesday afternoon, so the soonest they might have it is Christmas Eve. My advice to anyone operating a business that deals with the public: 1. Be courteous and pleasant on the phone and in person. 2. Be truthful and set realistic expectations with the customer. 3. Communicate! Follow up if there is going to be a delay. 4. The replacement motorcycle battery they had seemed a little pricey but the salesman was helpful running a battery diagnostic for me. One of the store clerk even helped me score discounts that I did not even know I was entitled to. Will definitely return for all my battery needs. Some pll say to go online and buy. Bought a LG G4 battery in March of 2019. CEL11673F brand. HIGH priced ($40) for an aftermarket X2 Power battery. Wouldn't honor online coupon either despite there being no exceptions for my battery, etc. Used the battery for several months...OK, worked from home a lot in 2020, didn't get out much. By fall of '20 the battery was moderately holding a charge, just don't use your phone much if you want it to last for a shopping trip more than an hour. [Of course, the warranty was only 12 months so it fails not long after.] Now a year later, a whopping two years from initial use, it barely can keep up with light phone usage while it's on a slow charger. I spend my lunch break and went in and bought a Duracell battery for my motorcycle. The guy working the counter sells the display and gives me connector hardware for the battery and terminals. I get home and sure enough the hardware didn't fit. So late to work, and another spent lunch break to go in and explain to another customer rep, with the same customer rep from the day before looking on. My iPhone was damaged pretty badly, the screen was shattered and the metal housing was bent. I thought my phone was beyond repair but I figured I still let the professional take a look. The male clerk assured me he is able to fix my phone which I was extremely happy to hear. He ended up fixing my screen and installed a new charging port. He was also able to bend the housing back to its proper shape. It took the technician about an hour and half to fix my phone. I was very impressed that the technician was able to fix my phone. If you need to get your phone fixed I highly recommend this place. They will make sure to get the job done to your satisfaction. This was going to be my first visit and surely my last at this particular store. I took my favorite watch to get a battery. I couldn't tell what size I needed. A male clerk came out and asked if he could help or was I with another customer. I explained that I needed a battery replaced and he said, " I can help you before I go on break, what is it that you need?" (Me), Just a battery replaced. (Clerk) would you like for me to replace the battery? (Me) How much will it be? (Clerk) That will be $5, what would you like for me to do? I'm not a mind reader. (Me) replace the battery. The clerk dropped my watch on his work space, sighed because the back had screws. He removed one screw and had difficulty with the second screw. He put the first screw back. Never looking up he said " Can't replace the battery, don't have the right tools." There were two clerks, one Latino, who was tending to another customer, a Caucasian clerk with grey hair. Not the nicest person and definitely should not be in the customer service business. Degrading demeanor and spoke in such a way that he expected and wanted me to know that he was doing me a favor by waiting on me before he took his break. It's a sure bet, that I will never go back. I bought a motorcycle battery from these guys and my motorcycle wouldn't start. I made the mistake of trusting that the brand new battery would be fine and something else must be wrong. The dealership found that the brand new battery was not producing enough amps to start the bike. The process took over 2 weeks (the return period), so I hoping that they would work with me since they did sell me a bad battery. Not only would they not work with me, the man tried telling me - "you can't just put a new battery in the bike, you have to charge it first", followed by more b.s. The lady made comments like "we don't know what you were doing with the battery for 2 weeks." They were very rude and not helpful at all. The battery was still under warranty so even if they let me returned it, they could have filed a claim, received another battery, and not lost any profit. Bottom line - don't not trust what these guys say, and if they sell you a bad product keep in mind they do not budge with the return policy. read more
