So I've been putting it off. Yesterday, while running errands I stopped by Kung Fu Teas to pickup a bubble tea refresher. I accidentally parked in a spot labeled "Techcraze customers Only." Whoops. But then I thought this might be a good opportunity to get this fixed + Christmas present to myself. I walked in and met Moussa who runs the business with his brother. He told me he could install a new screen for me for $200 and it would take a half hour. So I left my phone and went to Kroger for some groceries. When I returned, my phone was like new and he'd also installed a new screen protector for me gratis. (I was thankful for this because I am not skilled in this way and they always come out wonky!) The store has PC, Apple and mobile merchandise that can be purchased as well as data & mobile plans. If needed in the future (and knowing Apple products never go on sale!) I'll be happy to throw this family owned spot some more business.

I cracked the screen of my iPhone 6, and a representative at Verizon recommended Smart Fix to get…read morethe screen replaced. I took my phone to Smart Fix on August 4th to get the screen replaced. My screen was replaced, but in the process of replacing the screen something was reconnected incorrectly, and my front and back camera of my iPhone are no longer functioning. The screen is black whenever I open the camera application. I know my camera was working properly even with the cracked screen and prior to the repair because I have pictures saved from both the front and back camera during the time my screen was cracked. I explained this to the employee at Smart Fix, and he said they needed to order a new part to fix it. I went back a week later to get the new part installed, and my camera still did not work. Once again, I was told that a different part would need to be purchased, and someone would give me a call when the part was in. This was 3 weeks ago. It has now been over a month since my initial screen replacement, and my camera is still not functioning. I have made phone calls, left voicemails, made several trips to both locations at Tuttle Mall and Polaris Mall and have yet to have the situation resolved or any solution offered to me by Smart Fix. The manager, Tez, that all the employees keep referencing has never contacted me, nor is he ever around when I stop by the store. To add insult to injury, Apple will not fix the camera issue because an outside third party has now performed services on the phone. This has been an extremely frustrating process, and Smart Fix has been very unprofessional throughout. I do not want to have to purchase a new phone or pay to have somebody else resolve the problem when the problem was caused by Smart Fix. Since the manager will not contact me, the only solution I could think of was to file a complaint with the BBB. I would pay the extra money and have Apple get it right the first time.
