    The floor is one 1" short of the wall.

    If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. I hired Bath Fitter of the Mountlake Terrace to put in new walls and floor to my existing shower. My existing shower was in perfect condition but I wanted to enlarge it as much as possible, since it was pretty small. I was willing to pay $10,000 for a few extra inches in the depth. The sales person who did the initial measurement made a mistake, so the actual size installed was 1 1/2" shorter than expected. I was only going to get 4" extra, so that cut it down to 2 1/2"! Not worth $10,000! The installer put the walls in too high. It was supposed to stop at the top of the window frame, making a nice clean line with the shower door, but went above it. This looked terrible and not what was agreed upon. They also put the wrong floor pattern in. It was supposed to be a pattern called "diamond" as per the contract. However, a pattern called "honeycomb" was installed. Two very different patterns. Since they measured wrong, I did not get extra inches I wanted. I called and texted multiple times with no timely response. The end result: they want me to pay $3000 for a job done completely wrong from beginning to end. The installer even admitted the walls were too high. Their reason for keeping my deposit of $3000 is because they have already paid the sales person, installer and would have to pay a technician to rip it out. I never signed the final contract because it was NOT done according to the terms in writing. PLUS, they charged my credit card $6668.18 without permission and without finishing the job! This is illegal! They tried to commit fraud! DO NOT use this Bath Fitter company located in the Mountlake Terrance office. They are crooks and want to keep my $3000 for a job not done right. In addition, they tried to charge me $2,500 for a shower door never installed. They claim they installed the shower walls and floor (without the door) exactly as described in the contract, ignoring the fact that it wasn't done even close to the contract. The wall heights were wrong and the floor pattern was wrong. I tried to resolve this with Kristin, the manager, but got nowhere. She even said if I contest the charges with the bank, they would win and I would lose. After I told her I had already challenged the Bank to contest these charges, they suddenly said they would pay me back the $6668.18, which they illegally tried to take, but they still want to charge me $3000 for materials (which were the wrong size and pattern), the technician to rip it out and the commission of the sales person, even though the job was never finished correctly. Save yourself money and headache and use someone else to redo your shower. I will gladly have them come rip everything out (without charging me) They want to charge me for ripping out their shoddy work!! Unbelievable! The pictures below show the areas done not according to the agreement made with the sales consultant. It may not look like much, but when you were only going to get an extra 4 inches in depth, losing 1 and half inches makes a difference. Bottom line, regardless of how little measurements were off, it wasn't what I contracted for.

    Great experience in every way, start to finish. This is the first time I've EVER contracted with a company of any kind that I found out about in a booth at a festival! We met Bath Fitter at Freedom Fair on 4th of July in Tacoma, their booth having caught our eye. A week or so later, sales rep Jayde ("JD") arrived and we sat on the deck going over their program. He showed us samples, layouts, designs, etc. After looking at our current built-in shower (not a one piece), and it's kind of odd layout, we found it would be a bit more than we thought but it was still reasonable for the amount of materials and labor it would take. Installers Matt and Joseph showed up exactly when we were told - tear-out was on Monday, and the new shower was complete at the end of the day Tuesday. They were polite, friendly, very neat - and did a very nice job We couldn't be happier - thanks Jayde, Matt and Joseph Dave & Anne

When I had our estimate we specifically asked if the baseboard needed to be removed and we were told no. I made it clear that I would remove them if necessary to ensure they could be labeled and reinstalled. We were assured the baseboards were installed at a height that enabled the installer to work with it in. When we proceeded with the proposal the installer showed up and removed the baseboards from my entire house without telling me. He broke them all, threw them in my front yard, and left my house a mess. I attempted on multiple occasions to reach out to the manager with my frustrations and he was never around, never called me back, or followed up. They cost me thousands of dollars and countless hours to stain, sand, refinish, and install new baseboards at the same time we were welcoming our first child. I will never forget the disrespect and poor service provided by this company. Please take your business anywhere else but here!!!

I had tried to purchase it direct from Daltile but they directed me to Great Floors or another supplier and said it was "in-stock" in Portland. I spoke with Jim Verdier at the Shoreline Great Floors on the phone and he took my money and said "Wednesday or Friday" from Portland. Tuesday Morning came and Jim V. Said it would instead be a week from Friday. This would put my project at a huge delay and he said his rep "was trying to drive it up to Seattle sooner". He also confirmed that there were 14sq ft in Seattle that were from the same run of tile as the balance of the stock in Portland. While waiting for the rep to respond, I tried to figure out how I could make it down to Portland from Seattle to get the tile so that my project could advance. Meanwhile, day by day, no answers came as to when it would be delivered from Portland and apparently no concern about my situation. I was the one calling or even driving up to Shoreline to try to get answers. On Thursday I finally phoned when no response came from my email it to learn it was Jim V's day off though there was no notice, no email out of office message and no follow up as to our urgent need to lock in a plan for delivery. Friday I called into Daltile myself and learned that the order was never placed to Portland. It was placed to California and arriving on a truck Friday, June 13. At this point Jim still insisted the rep was going to "drive it up to Seattle Monday or Tuesday but if he didn't have time it would be on a truck Wednesday and finally arrive to the store on Friday, June 13. I confronted Jim and shared what I learned and insisted that he fix the issue with Daltile and that I be able to pickup the tile myself in Portland on Monday, June 9. He declined since he "hadn't heard from the rep still" and I said I needed to cancel the order and get a full refund. We did drive to Portland, purchased the tile from Floor Factors and it's up and looking great. However, I have yet to get a phone call from the manager, Jim Dahl, as to my request to receive a full refund. Monday, he was already gone for the day and I left a voicemail. Tuesday, Jim V told me I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee. I declined and asked to speak with Jim Dahl. Never heard back. Wednesday, Jim V told me they were still "waiting to hear back from Daltile on taking the tile back" - different answer than the day before. Still no call from the manager, no apology, no resolution. I paid with a check to save the credit card fee otherwise, I would have canceled via them. And as slow as these guys are on helping customers, they aren't slow on cashing checks.

The fails: 1) They slipped an unmentioned "travel fee" onto my first invoice after several rounds of communication about their price quote and what it included. I went over inclusions and exclusions so carefully on the phone with them; then got a bill for $40 more with no explanation. When I questioned it, they said "they forgot" to mention it. After some pressure, they removed it, but it took some pressure. 2) They sent a handyman to fix the cabinet but failed to tell him he was to assess, purchase parts and complete the job in one visit, as per our contract. He came prepared only to "give an estimate." He did stay and attempt to rehang the cabinet door. 3) His "repair," which he was prepared to leave as complete, was hanging the door without knowing how to install/adjust the hinge he had purchased properly, leaving it more crooked than before, and now overlapping the other cabinet door by a full half inch so the cabinet didn't close at all. Clearly, he did not know how to do what he was sent out to do, but the shocking thing was that he insisted he had completed the job "as best he could." The argument that ensued was not pleasant. He had his cell phone running throughout it with his home office - fortunately - so they knew we were not going to pay for this mess. Ultimately he removed the work he had done. We demanded the deposit refund from the company and the cessation of the project. Very unfortunate. We will never try their service again.
