Many of them are in their twenties and some of them have just an ok knowledge of products, but everyone I interacted with was very nice. I bought a pretty expensive serum off of a recommendation and ended up having an allergic reaction (not her fault I have really picky skin) and everyone was very apologetic and the return was a breeze. I tracked down almost every associate in the store to see what they'd all recommend, and was pleasantly surprised at all of their knowledge and their willingness to help. I think they were definitely more willing to help people who seem like they will drop some $ here. Which, in all fairness, they are working a sales floor and this is their job. A good trick I've picked up is leading with "price doesn't matter" (even if it does lol) when asking for help, and seeing what they recommend off the bat. If it's out of my range, then I'll ask if they've found a drugstore dupe for the high end product then compare the two. In general, their selection of drugstore options is WAY more limited than ULTAs is. If you want good dupes and more to pick from I'd go to ULTA. Sephora does offer some high end brands and more expensive products in general, but it's a good place to find a nice addition to my normal product lineup. The bulk of my cosmetic shopping is at ULTA and I save Sephora for special splurgy items. I ended up grabbing a laneige moisturizer (I trust anything k beauty) and a inky list redness serum and both have worked beautifully for my skin. I'm looking forward to trying lady Gaga's foundation line. Thanks so much to the associates that helped out and they also give samples which was a nice perk! Looking forward to coming back sometime.

I am so disappointed with Madewell. I've been an insanely loyal customer for over six years, buying…read moreonly Madewell jeans since the first time I tried a pair on. I'm a huge fan of their quality and have turned my mom and best friend into addicts too. I just went into the Charlottesville location, wanting to return/exchange a pair that I purchased there on Saturday last week. I bought a new pair because I've gone down two sizes and wanted to treat myself to some new ones. They didn't have the style that I wanted, so I went with the pair that the associate suggested. I wore them out of the store because she told me that I could donate the pair that I wore in that day. I wore them home and when looking in the mirror some more, I just didn't feel good or confident in that style. I came back today and they told me that because I had worn them out of the store, that they weren't eligible for return or exchange. I'm extremely upset because I spent $115 on a pair of jeans that I wore for an hour and a half, that I don't feel good in. To pour gasoline on the fire even more, she had the gall to tell me that if I didn't like them that I could DONATE them back to the store! She said that there was nothing else that they could do. I informed her that I was a loyal customer and would never come in again because this just didn't seem acceptable. Im not trying to sound like a "Karen" but I've worked in retail for over 15 years and I had expected a higher level of customer service with such a high-quality brand. Never have I attempted to return jeans there before, because I've always loved what I have gotten, but I can guarantee I will never go back again...

This is probably the best and most relaxing facial I've had at this spa to date. Raven did a great job meeting my goals for hydration and relaxation, and honestly I'd book with her again! This experience was completely ruined when I went to check out and they declined my gift card. For Christmas my sister regifted me a $100+ gift card I purchased for her in March 2024 (It was a birthday present, and just due to various circumstance she was unable to use it). At checkout I was informed that the gift card was expired, but the spa owner was able to give me a "courtesy" discount for 20% off product in the store. Please note that as a longtime client of this spa I have NEVER seen or heard of any gift card expiry policy from Wild & Free and the gift card didn't have an expiration date on the card, on the receipt, and during purchase no one mentioned it. The spa owner claims "that has always been the policy" but it's listed obscurely in the "About" section on the website (not where customers could easily see it while purchasing a gift card) and it was not previously listed in the "Policy" section. Thankfully I was able to get a refund, but I will no longer be booking services with Wild & Free after this experience.
