I had no idea ! It had been years since I last visited, so I was really excited to go back with my sisters. Staff welcomed us, we got some drinks and had such a fun time sniffing all the endless possibilities we could create. Once we had our fave lists together and sat down to create the scent... I ended up not loving mine. Even with their help and some tweaking, I just wasn't feeling it at all, which was a little disappointing for me. I did end up finding a happy medium in the end.. and honestly I was having such a good time with my family that I didn't let it bother me anyway. BUT when I picked up my candle the next day... I was completely blown away !! The scent had mellowed out and smelled way better than the day before. Like it was basically what I was looking for ! I guess sometimes it's just like that. So if you're not loving what you made... just wait until you pick it up and give it a sniff then. I will definitely be back now that I have my list of favorite smells and cant wait to make another.

Of course my phone was acting up and I ended up having to spend additional time in the store. While there I was approached by 3 different sales women. All super polite. (But it did feel kinda like when you arrive at a furniture store and all the sales reps flock to you.) Regardless, everyone was eager to assist. I ended up making 3 loops in the store. While there I notice not a speck of dust anywhere. Who does the dusting here?? And how often?? Must be regularly! Anyway, the coconut candle rocks! Melissa gets a shout out because she assisted me with my shopkick issue and aslo gave me some background about their store joining in late. She also showed me where the sensor was too! When it comes to finding the right candle, you'll need to get your nostrils to work and start wafting in those unique aromas to determine which one is right for you. Where can such a place be found? Yankee Candle seems to be the best contender, it is the only one in the mall that can fulfill such an odd desire. It's mall location doesn't seem to bring down it's customer size but it certainly doesn't give the space that Yankee needs to be fully developed. The store is cramped even when you are alone and with their being center tables filled with delicate jars that may tumble over if you collide with them, you will have to walk with caution. Both walls to the left and right are covered with different sections of various candles containing different smells in accordance to either fruit, season, location, or even flower. They all come in different sizes and shapes from tiny stubs to large jars with the price rising on each size increase you take. I myself have never actually bought anything from this Yankee Candle as I spend most of my time in here taking the lid off of all the candles and taking in the odors of all the varieties of these jars. The prices are a bit hefty if you want to buy more than just one candle but don't let that deter you from not coming inside the store. You are encouraged to smell any candle you like regardless if you choose to buy it or not. Have a strong grip though because if one of those jars slips out of your hands, expect a glassy mess soon to follow. The employees are more than happy to assist you in your quest for the missing smell, just don't do it in front of them, that may come across as a bit unusual. Somewhat of a mixed bag of high prices, small space, but also having great customer service, an excellent selection of candles, and permission to freely sniff them all of your own accord, this can be a great pit stop if you need a break from shopping, just don't bring your food in with you.

They also have more then just candles....wax melts, warmers, scent lights, oils, potpourri and sprays. My favorite candle scents by season: Fall.....autumn leaves, November rain and pumpkin pie. After waiting no less then 10 minutes they tell me they can match the price, which was still confusing as it was their own listed sale price. 5 more minutes later - they scan the item to realize that the issue was, it wasn't labeled correctly. The staff was very nice but appeared less than informed on their own store sales. This Bed Bath and Beyond is generally clean and organized but the clearance area was a disaster, can't imagine anyone would walk by it and think I want to look through this. Come in with sales, use your coupons on top of those and you can get some decent deals, otherwise prices are generally higher than necessary. Staff have always been nice and helpful.

The reason for this one? (Oprah voice) THE M.A.C. LIIIIIIIINEEEE. This location has a great selection for their M.A.C. beauty supply, letting you swatch the hell out of their lipsticks (mattes are the best, love the Dubonnet, Brick-O-La, and Paramount). This isn't a review for M.A.C., but if you are flirting with trying it, start here. Their foundation is one of the few that doesn't make my face crack like Michael Jackson's after a long day of teaching. They do have a Benefit Brow Bar, but their Benefit selection is slightly smaller than Henrietta's. That is Henrietta's main star, I prefer the waxing specialists there, but if you need a quick wax between shopping, get it girl (or boy). The consultants are willing to assist you, but are not as pushy in the other locations. I do enjoy all of the cashiers I have dealt with, and they are willing to look things up on your account (points, etc) if needed. I am an Ulta woman vs. Sephora because you can still get prestige brands juxtaposed to drugstore brands, and they have middle of the road stuff for those who are looking to up their pigmentation. I only leave Ulta half poor. Sephora just robs me.

I am absolutely in love with the services I've received by Shelby and Asia. I appreciate all the…read morehelp from the three other sales associates that helped with other purchases as well. I came in not really thinking much, I knew I wanted some color added to my hair, and help with my eyebrows. What I received was top notch service with lots of recommendations, and products I can use at home. I ended up getting color highlights added to my hair, Shelby was awesome and was able to help me out. I was more than satisfied with the finish product. Even though I came in, last minute notice with no appointment, Shelby took her time, and talked me through the whole process. Afterwards, I did end up buying the shampoo, conditioner, and was able to get a full size hair mask product that I am currently in love with. I also was serviced at the brow bar by Asia Razak. She was more than welcoming to fit me into her schedule for that day as well. I was able to get my eye brows tinted a darker shade of brown, and I left with the right shade of Benefit's brow pencil. All in all my trip down to Rochester that day was totally worth my experience here. I do plan on going back and booking an appointment with Asia for my next brow appointment.
