I appreciate that the staff at Target follows all recommended/mandated safety precautions. Online ordering is very easy and using the app is a snap. My orders were ready far more quickly than I had expected. The system allows you to let the folks at the store know when you are leaving your house and they are waiting for you when you arrive. There was absolutely zero contact between me and the people who deposited my order into my trunk. This was a relief; I did not want to be the one who might possibly spread the virus to someone else. Kudos to Target. A+++

They advertise sales on color and then do not honor them.I was charged three different amounts for Majirel color. I called the customer service line and spoke to several different people and each one told me they would look into it and get back to me and I never heard from anyone. Worst customer service ever! There used to be a girl named Liz that worked there and she left and the place went downhill. They will rip you off so be careful to ask how much your items are ringing up at the register. The lady asked me if I had used the products, I said no, they just weren't for me, and she was like, Okay! Processed my refund, and I was on my merry little way. BUT WAIT A SECOND... I've been trying to get my LAST NAME CHANGED in the Ulta system for the longest time. Every time I called customer service, they told me, "Yes, we changed your name." Okay, cool. Then one day I spoke to another customer service representative and she tells me, **"No, you actually have to go into an Ulta store to have your name changed. Excuse me?! WHY?! Y'all could've definitely saved me a trip around the damn city if somebody had told me that from the beginning. So anyway, I go back into the store, tell the lady I need to change my last name, and she changes it. THAT'S IT. No ID. No paperwork. No security questions. Nothing. She literally just changed it. And I'm standing there like, OMG... SHE CHANGED IT! I get back into the car and tell Hubby, they finally changed my last name! He's like, oh that's cool. Fast forward...I open the Ulta app. No maiden name change. I said, oh my goodness. We gotta go back. I'm already preparing myself for another Ulta adventure, another explanation, another customer service conversation, possibly a congressional hearing at this point. But before I grabbed my purse, I said, let me just log out and log back in. I logged out. Logged back in. And voila my name was updated Anyway, 10/10 for the ladies being nice and helping me with my return AND finally getting my name changed.

I've passed this thrift store many times but never stopped in. It's right on the square and I…read moreassumed parking would be an issue so I never stopped. Recently I took a vacation day and was camping in the area and decided to check them out. Much to my surprise they have a private parking lot in the back. From the back entry there was a porch that had some free items that didn't meet their resale requirements. Inside was a vestibule with $1 clothing that had minor blemishes on. On the tags that I took the time to look at it was written what was wrong which I thought was nice. The deal of the day was ladies tops which were half off. Inside the shop I was greeted by two older ladies sitting at chairs chatting. The overall store is about the size of an efficiency apartment and is a very narrow space. The organization was done well and knick knacks were proudly displayed. There were probably about 8 customers in the tiny space, plus myself and the two clerks which felt like a crowd in such a narrow space. It was impossible to social distance. Ladies clothing and knick knacks dominated the store Children's clothing, toys, and housewares were very limited. While browsing the racks I did find several tops, all half off, as well as some jeans for $3. Prices were very reasonable. The dressing room is part of the bathroom, which seemed to also be a kitchen as it had a microwave in it, and also a toothbrush at the sink. Overall with the ladies sitting and talking at the entrance, to the personal items in the bathroom it felt like I was in someone's house. At that point I didn't know if this was a charity room thrift store, or just someone selling used, donated items for profit. However at the register they did have a sign showing how much money the store has donated to various charities over the years and it was impressive. When I told the cashier I can't believe there wasn't any Yelp reviews they had no idea what Yelp was! Probably not a regular stop for me during COVID due to the distancing aspect but worth checking out if you're not concerned.

How it works: JBF rents huge spaces - indoor arenas, etc for a few days and move around to different locations for a themed shopping event. In the case of JBF they cater to all things children's and I mean EVERYTHING! Consignors (moms and dads, etc) register, prelabel, hang, and bring the items they want to sell to the sales floor a few days before the public sale. As a SELLER you price your items and do a lot of prep work and JBF get a cut of what is sold. While it does seem like a hassle, those I know that have done this usually are very organized moms to begin with and "prep" for these sales year round. As a SELLER you can reduce the percentage the company takes by working the sale, etc. You also get some advantage as a BUYER and can shop before the general public. As a BUYER you walk into a MECCA of all things children and babies, all organized methodically; bath toys, girls toys, boys toys, clothing by sex and size, etc. Chances are if it was manufactured for children you will find it here. It truly is one stop shopping. Of course since everyone prices their own items there is a huge variance in price range but for the most part it's cheaper than traditional consignment shops but more than a yard sale. Many times you will find duplicates of items (for example Little People playsets) so you can pick the one with the lowest price tag. While some days you pay admission as a BUYER, there's ways around that and you would be wise to check out their website and preregister so you get the specials. I got free tickets online just for registering on their website. Another comparable sale is the Weeusables sales which is the first one of its kind that I ever attended and I will admit a much better run and organized event. Weeusable not only had a bigger space with a better organizational set up, but customer service and quality of items were top notch. At the JBF sales I literally spent 8 minutes looking at toys and the remainder of my hour long lunch break in the check-out line. There were only 6 cashiers where at Weeusables there's 20+. I also didn't see any sales help on the floor and larger items were definitely not as plentiful. Tables were piled high instead of the merchandise being spread out. While this is a sale I will probably go to again, given the proximity to my work and home, I would NEVER pay to be a buyer here or anywhere and do prefer the Weeusable event for quality, selection, ease of buying, and customer service over this one. Still worth a visit though. These sales are huge and depending on when you go very crowded. PLAN AHEAD. Check specials and hours online. Plan enough time to go thru everything. Come with a list. Be prepared to pay with cash on the last few days. And while children are allowed and welcomed it's always best to leave them at home.
